1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! on: May 25, 2017, 02:05:16 AM
I think getting on Bittrex is needed to add value and increase awareness.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy/Sell Options on: December 10, 2013, 12:11:42 AM
Something I'd be interested in too. I have been just buying btc to get  x amount for long term and as I am getting close to hitting that goal I would like to know what other Americans are using for trading. Perhaps a list of what others (sites/exchanges) recommend? thx
3  Economy / Speculation / The bitcoin crash of 2013: Don't you feel silly now? http://www.latimes.com/bus on: December 08, 2013, 01:36:34 PM
-This was an article from LA Times Business Section
Seriously, what kind of crap is this. First bitcoin was really at 1000 (yeah touched 1200 but it also dropped to 850 back up so it was really oscillating at 1000), now at 750 which most people are saying seems much more comfortable right now. If this is a "crash" then bitcoin is freaking made out of teflon code with a parachute and one hell of a helmet. That crap article was written by Michael Hiltzik of LA Times. Michael your an idiot! link  http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-the-bitcoin-crash-20131207,0,7011276.story#axzz2mqmUsnWt

-sorry just needed a good little rant
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to easily increase your BTC by trading! on: December 01, 2013, 03:03:27 AM
Ha, been doing the same thing with with the same site. I got a few I really like (alt coins) and buy win they go down, sell when up. I know I'll get bit at some point but so far so good.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holiday Drop, Stop or go up a Lot? on: November 28, 2013, 03:52:23 PM
I'm not selling but looking to buy. I saved up a little chunk and want to put in a purchase. The funny thing is I am looking for a dip not because if will be cheaper on the "fiat" side or more profitable, but I just want to  get more bitcoins Smiley I can feel a shift in my thought process already between USD and BTC.
6  Economy / Speculation / Holiday Drop, Stop or go up a Lot? on: November 28, 2013, 03:25:51 PM
Anyone else really intrigued to see how btc does this holiday season? I think its going to level out then dip a little and finally skyrocket up... but like everyone else I really have no idea. Anyone else have any thoughts or predictions?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Those who focus in a different direction on: November 23, 2013, 02:38:22 AM
I thinks an Alt coin who focuses on the Wallet side of development will have a great chance at becoming successful. While a bunch of Alt coins are focusing on the same things I think one who simplifies for the "masses" will have a great chance of taking off. Crypto Currencies will take off but people will not care about hash rates and mining and blockchains.... they want ease of use and security... just seem to see alot of the same just wondering if everyone is tunnel visioned in the same direction at this point.
8  Economy / Speculation / Thread or info with stock market type analysis on: November 22, 2013, 11:15:17 PM
There has been a ton of great info here at the forum. I especially like the ones with some stock market type analysis. Does anyone have any good sites (or threads within here) that sort of delve into some analysis for the layperson. thx
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying bitcoins (USA) on: November 21, 2013, 11:48:50 PM
Just seeing where everyone else buys there bitcoins
I've used:
coinbase: seemed to work just fine for me; just somewhat of a lag from buying to clearing which may be common?
localbitcoins: only done face to face cash transaction, was my first transaction and it went through though I would like to know how online transfers have been
all in all I have been satisfied with both but I like to have options open just in case so what do u guys use and why?

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Backup ?'s on: November 17, 2013, 06:43:34 PM
Ok. So I have Multibit as a wallet. I then backup my "keys" is this something I only need to do once. For instance I backed it up when I had say 1btc now I have 3btc do I need to back it up again or is just the once ok?

Another question is say I am using Multibit on my laptop. I backup my wallet on a thumb drive and lose my laptop. can I restore my wallet with any client like QT or does it have to be Multibit?

thx

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bought some btc ... now what? on: November 16, 2013, 08:59:34 PM
Thx all. Here is where I am at. I downloaded multibit and plan on using that for now. I also have the Android app on my phone. So could I end up using one as sort of a small checking account say my Android then save most on my Multibit Acct (since it seems more secure) anyone doing this yet?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bought some btc ... now what? on: November 16, 2013, 02:19:31 AM
thx for all replies....Been trying to run bitcoin qt and I get "failed to read block" is it compatible with  64 bit win? I was playing around and through this website found ppcoin and got that wallet to run, maybe running 2 isn't compatible? Looks like multibit will load easy enough.... also I purchased through coinbase is there a better alternative in the usa?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Bought some btc ... now what? on: November 16, 2013, 12:58:50 AM
Hey all, I just purchased some btc and was curious when it clears whats my next step? Where do I keep it? I tried to download the btc qt but it errors out. I was hoping to send some to btc-e to trade for other alt coins and send some to a wallet... not sure how to setup a wallet, digital or physical.  Any help would be great thx
