1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Guild based system by an ICO???? on: June 13, 2018, 06:54:28 AM
I have looked into menlo's telegram group https://t.me/Menloone, and they have a huge member is this a good sign? I'm interested in joining their crowdsale I don't know if it is a good idea though. LOL
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto worth your time? on: May 11, 2018, 08:59:27 AM
Definitely.

i don't think it's wise asking such questions on the cryptocurrency forum, of course nobody here would say "crypto sucks, it's a waste of time"  Smiley

This guy is correct. We won't be here wasting our time learning things about cryptocurrency, if in some ways were not benefiting from it.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Support help me on: April 05, 2018, 10:31:03 AM
Yeah Jetcash is correct. Its easier to use google, plus the fact that there's a waiting period in using the search of BCT make it a lot more un-useful.

As for the 2nd question. I believe you can follow threads where you have made a reply here and check if someone replies to the thread.

As for the 3rd. *No clue about that. LOL
4  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merits ?? on: February 10, 2018, 11:08:35 AM
Some members got merits by posting about merit system but that idea is old now. Try posting quality content in Bitcoin discussion section.

Replying to this thread keeping the conversation alive won't help either. ~ just saying.  Wink
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Will be Zero on: February 09, 2018, 11:44:21 AM
I remember this had been asked before.  Huh
Anyway, OP it will never happen and if it does the whole cryptocurrency will fail. We can see there are still many investors interested to CRYPTO so it will never happen.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Bitcoin will hit 100K on: February 08, 2018, 11:32:26 AM
For me?

20K = possible
50K = possible
100K = possible
1M = Possible

Anything is possible. If you believe that BTC can reach that far, its your choice. But facing the true statistics on BTC right now, the price needs to have a very BIG NEWS to set its price to 20K again, like "FACEBOOK will now use BTC" those kind of news can alter its bearish market right now.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Another bad news from japan on: January 28, 2018, 06:24:52 AM
Cryptocurrencies fell Friday after Japan-based digital exchange Coincheck suspended client deposits and withdrawals for virtual currencies except bitcoin, saying it had been hacked.

Coincheck said it was investigating "unauthorized access" of the exchange that appeared to result in a loss worth half a billion US dollars of NEM, the 10th biggest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

"At 3 am (1800 GMT) today, 523 million NEMs were sent from the NEM address of Coincheck. It's worth 58 billion yen based on the calculation at the the rate when detected," said Coincheck's chief operating officer Yusuke Otsuka late Friday.

"We're still examining how many of our customers are affected," he said, adding that the exchange was trying to find out whether the breach was from Japan or another country.
After the exchange suspended deposits and withdrawals, NEM plunged more than 16 percent in a 24-hour period, according to CoinMarketCap.com.

Major virtual currencies had rebounded slightly by late Friday but were still down, with Bitcoin dropping 2.13 percent to $10,987.70, ripple sliding more than six percent and ethereum flat.

Coincheck said it had discovered the breach at 11.25 am and announced it had suspended trading for all cryptocurrencies apart from bitcoin in a series of tweets.

According to its website, which proclaims it is "the leading bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange in Asia", Tokyo-based Coincheck was founded in 2012 and had 71 employees as of July last year.

In 2014 major Tokyo-based bitcoin exchange MtGox collapsed after admitting that 850,000 coins -- worth around $480 million at the time -- had disappeared from its vaults.

Bitcoin is recognized as legal tender in Japan and nearly one third of global bitcoin transactions in December were denominated in yen, according to specialist website jpbitcoin.com.

The virtual currency is well down from record highs approaching $20,000 in late December, having rocketed 25-fold last year, before being hit by concerns about a bubble and worries about crackdowns on trading it.

Billionaire investor George Soros, known for his legendarily successful currency trading, has dismissed bitcoin as a "typical bubble".

But speaking Thursday at the Davos summit, he said the cryptocurrency would likely avoid a full crash because authoritarians would still use it to make secret investments abroad.

If your copy pasting material, can you please qoute it or put some some source where you found it.

Anyway, this hack is nothing compared to MT Gox although the amount is bigger and effects of it is smaller, so it didn't totally ruin the market value of all coins.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To be honest, how many people use bitcoin to invest on: January 27, 2018, 04:15:39 AM
Have you forgotten the very reason for Bitcoin? It was to serve as a payment method for any type of transaction. But the problem is that its value had risen that we had forgotten its main reason why it was built.
9  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin and alts merchandising on: January 25, 2018, 03:03:58 PM
What about sites that acts as third party services for payments? Is there any site that offers that?
10  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying BTC in the UK on: January 24, 2018, 01:41:07 PM

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good place to buy cryptocurrency in the UK with the minimum of hassle..?  I already know about the bitbargain site but the prices there seem to be a fair bit above market value and I'm having difficulty finding other sites.  Is it normal to sell these assets above market price..?

Thanks in advance.

Localbitcoins is probably your best bet if exchanges don't operate around the area. Make sure you use an escrow though! I've heard that people are able to purchase accounts and use them as if their own.

I've heard that for the UK in particular, you can use a site called quickbitcoin and if you're looking to trade crypto, just move the BTC over to an exchange and use that as your seed money. I would say coinbase, but in the US, fees are a hassle, and they aren't the best with how your bank account gets linked.

Is there any walk-in exchange sites in UK just like bitstamp in S. korea? I also heard there are plenty of Bitcoin ATMs/Kiosk/Teller in europe might as well be helpful. Not sure though
11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Effect of US Government Shutdown on Bitcoin Market on: January 23, 2018, 01:14:42 PM
I wonder if there is a reference link so we can evaluate if its true or just FUD. Anyway, the Shutdown of the Bitcoin Market in US I think might have some few effect but it doesn't mean that it can cause a major DIP of the price.
12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Coins on: January 22, 2018, 05:58:49 AM
No reply from fairy_fries on what country he lives. Suggestions were given and as said by this guy

through P2P
Looking for someone who's selling his bitcoin on Currency Exchange. section can be also a good place.

I suggest not to rely on the currency exchange section. As there are many scammers and posers on this forum. Although there are ways to prevent SCAMS they are not 100% guaranteed.
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Coins on: January 21, 2018, 01:55:00 AM
Where can I buy some coins with the cheapest price? Too many exchanger & trading sites out there, you don't know which is the best one.

Actually to buy coins at the cheapest price is through P2P or buying coins from your friends. If you have friends who are cashing out, better to make a deal with them to avoid transaction fees.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 18, 2018, 11:00:05 AM
Well, as you can see in these days of general panic, the price of bitcoin matters very much!
Until bitcoin won't be the only currency in the world, its relative value is the most important parameter.

I couldn't agree more. The price matters much right now. Since bitcoin's price is very high a lot of the new investors are afraid of their money invested in bitcoin because of the big amount they have inputted.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking for a long term coin on: January 16, 2018, 10:19:08 AM
If you are seeking for a long term cryptocurrency better to do your own research. We can recommend good coins but you still have to study it. I suggest NEO, Ethereum, Cardano, Monero and Litecoin if you want a long term altcoins. You also need to accumulate bitcoin as well because it is the main coin of all.

Yeah, correct this is all just a suggestion you still need to study the coins first to see if it will fit your needs. Some coins take time to increase, some of them have big pumps and dumps it is up to you.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking for a long term coin on: January 15, 2018, 03:01:40 PM
Also try investing on EOS and AION this two coins would probably give you profit after 1-2 years from now. There are also a lot of coins out there, just try to have research first if your looking for other coins.

Bitcoin and Ethereum is  the best if you don't want to regret in the future.

Would you really suggest btc at this point? It's been really unstable this month I think so far. I think it was a really good investment at around 9-10k$ but Idk about now.

I think its still a good investment to make especially if you have a big capital to start with and also if you are looking for a long term investment.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking for a long term coin on: January 15, 2018, 12:05:16 PM
I think XMR and ETH is a good choice. Ethereum is still growing stable even all of the other coins are going down in the market and its same with Monero. I think this two are the good coins.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to preditct coin price? on: January 14, 2018, 07:05:35 AM
I think it can be predicted easily. You can join groups that gives trading signals and forecast but remember they sometimes miss or hit. It depends on you.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends? on: January 13, 2018, 01:25:55 PM
As long as we keep on investing on Bitcoin. And trusting our funds to it, bitcoin will never end. Bitcoin stays atop because we still believe and supporting on it. Once we draw our backs from bitcoin, then it will probably shutdown.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Hold? on: January 12, 2018, 02:05:53 PM
Yeah, I think it still can hold, Bitcoin had gone to many dips because of FUD's and threats but stayed strong no matter what. This problem, is nothing compared to what we are benefiting.
