Since rewards are maxed out we might as well go for a fixed reward.
Agree, probably it will be better to switch to fixed 20 TRK reward instead of limiting to 20 max. Will make things simplier and easier to advertise the coin. I think leaving 200 trk, at first. Truck has always followed bitcoin. Let the btc surge take Truck on a ride. Once common sense settles over the hyper math , bring down the trk rewards slowly like you first planned. Advertising could then be played well with the new rational rewards.

Guys and gals, community opinion needed!
To me it looks like now it's time to radically lower the Truckcoin POS reward cap. It will preserve TRK value and secure coins future.
I propose to gradually decrease POS reward to 20 TRK per block as final goal, 10x times less than the current rate.
Something like:
Starting from January 01, 2020 max POS reward set to 150 TRK per block Starting from April 01, 2020 max POS reward set to 100 TRK per block Starting from August 01, 2020 max POS reward set to 50 TRK per block Starting from January 01, 2021 max POS reward set to 20 TRK per block forever
What do you think guys? Please post here or feel free to PM me with any suggestions, proposals, etc.
I totally agree 150 to 20 trk. Truck will win itself back!

Noise23 you said it is ok to run the old mac wallet for now as you have not had resource or time to make a new mac update. I am presuming there is still no problems that I will experience; loss of coin, interest, ect. by continuing staking with mac v.1.0.0.0?
Yes it's safe to continue staking with mac v.1.0.0.0 for now. In worst-case scenario there is a slim chance that it can fork and you will need to re-sync but it's very unlikely, should work fine. Next wallet release will include a new mac version with all updates. Noise23, after staking for 4 years with my mac wallet at about 138% according to presstabs pos data website, my staking over the last 3 days has dropped 10x to 10-15 %. Any ideas why this is happening. You said I would be fine using v 1.0.0.0 until you had time to update the mac wallet, other than possible having to resync if the wallet forked. Is that still the case? I guess it's just because of temporary network difficulty increase. Mac wallet 1.0.0.0 should still stake fine but it's staking engine is outdated. Will try to get a new mac wallet version asap. New versions of TRK mac wallets always delayed because I can't build a mac wallet by myself so I have to pay someone to do that. There must be more mac users out there. I would be willing kick in some trk or btc on a group effort to help you with the cost of a mac update. How much coinage would it take?

TRK source code updated to v1.1.0.0 - mandatory! This is a mandatory update, please build with the new v1.1 source at https://github.com/noise23/truckcoinWill post Windows and Linux binaries tomorrow. For those of us who are not programmers does this mean your going to post a wallet upgrade v.1.1.0.0. ? Will it be an automatic upgrade with download? What exactly will I have to do? I am running a mac pro. Oh, also, are the problems at Cryptopia the reason for the update. Yes i'm going to post a wallet upgrade v.1.1.0.0 No new wallet for mac available yet as i can't build mac wallet by myself but it's ok to run an older mac wallet version for now. The problems at Cryptopia is not the reason for this update, i still have no idea what's going on with Cryptopia wallet, support tickets not answered yet and i don't know any other way to contact them regarding wallet issues or upgrade. This version release is to fix timedrift vulnerability and make TRK wallet ready for the new staking code. Next version with new staking engine will follow in March. Cryptopia has halted the wallet fro a few days now for connection issues.
Any clue what it is about or how long till fixed?
They did put TRK and V wallets on maintenance a couple days ago. V wallet is back online now so probably TRK wallet will be back soon too. My support ticket still not answered but i guess they got some problem with blockchain and have to re-sync. I read in the Cryptopia news that IT located a hardware failure in a network switch. I wonder if that has been the problem all along. We will see. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/News

Are there any decent low price coins getting about these days bitchipper?
TruckCoin is still under 80 sats and a good buy. Ive always considered Truck coin and Hyperstake brother and sister coins. Hyperstake forked off of Truck 4 years ago. Both have been up and down and now both starting a steady climb. The yearly interest rate is almost identical. Both Truck and HYP are listed at Cryptopia.

Just want to say that I was successful in exporting my tips wallet from off my mac pro retina onto a windows machine where I had taken 3 days to download the tips window wallet. Not only was I successful but I doubled my tips as all my balance had been acquired before block 1299878.Fedora coin has been a very successful coin for me and I am excited about the new launch of this oldie but goodie.

There in fact is a market at 1 satoshi. If you bought at 1 satoshi today and then sold at 1 satoshi a month from now you might triple your money if btc keeps going up. But for all practical purposes it could take you months to liquidate at the present rate of buy in. But if investors step up the buying or if ever a frenzy would hit a fortune could be made at this 1 satoshi market.

Yes, for all your bullet points, except the need to reduce the block reward. In other, earlier post, I have pointed out and backed up with my own study of the truck block chain that the vast majority of truckcoin are not in circulation and in fact are being held in wallets for staking gains. Essentially, "balance" in a truckcoin wallet equals a trk2btc virtual mining machine. Its beautiful and elegant the way truck has almost a zero carbon footprint combined with solid code producing significant returns while NOT INFLATING the market. Once investors/stakers get this reality ( obviously some do) then the price of truck will increase along with liquidity in proportion to reasonalble profit taking. Reasonable profit taking in my world is liquidating 10-50% of the daily stake reward while leaving the rest to continue building the power of my virtual mining machine. Do you all get this point? While some do and some don't the market cap of truckcoin never the less continues to grow in value despite low liquidity via the ever increasing value of bitcoin and moderately increasing volume that is ever sucked up by ever increasing virtual mining rig/wallet/ principals and thus taken off the market. Take a look at the charts on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/truckcoin/#charts and notice the blue line ever increasing in value.

Truckcoin has fallen a lot in value over the last few days. Is me looking like a dump. Someone has forecast the recovery of the coin ? I would say a 48% hike in price and 10x volume increase should quallify for a recovery. Truck is still my favorite coin and long term hold. Watch what happens when Truck gets pulled into atomic cross chain trading. Liquidy problems will be over and virtually unlimited coin flow into Truck is possible.

No way of withdrawing from Cryptopia to web wallet.
Never has been.
Now trading on cryptopia locked and "withdrawals" locked also (never was possible anyway)
Says they will release lock when waves updates. But what then ? Still can't withdraw ?
Don't buy from anywhere - I wasted considerable chunk of my own money...
This will sort out. I think that these guys, Inpay dev and Wave devs are tied at the hip. I think they've got a killer dap here. Read between the lines; months of significant volume " despite" sparse communication accompanied by major ball dropping( not inpay but wave) of failure to communicate with Cryptopia on wallet updates resulting in delisting of wave assets. LOL, redicules, right. Yet its right here that opportunity lies. While people are saying WTF, Im buying. I was buying at 13000 satoshi and loving this 5000 range. Wave is big big big and those guys are very busy and shit happens, some t's not crossed and i's not dotted. Patience now is your best move. Join the Inpay slack btw for a more info. Slack is where it seems most communication with crypto is happening now a days. http://slack.inpay.tech

Inpay just broke through $90,000(21 btc) 24hr volume at cryptopia. This coin feels like it is going to pop. I could see Inpay go quickly to a buck on its way to $10 by the end of the year. Wow, now at $124,000 24hr vol. Really I cant believe the type of volume Inpay trades at daily. There must be a strong blessing or a wizard powering up this coin: Trading volume is currently at 43 btc($168152.36) at Cryptopia.

I'm staking HYP and TRK on the same machine too, the wallet works great btw I'm just curious what are these 140-150trk stake rewards ? I thought it's a fixed 200 TRK like on hyp 1k. How is it calculated ?
Stake reward is 200%/year limited to 200 coins per block max, 140-150trk stake rewards are normal 200% rewards. Just to clarify, its 200% year MAX... it doesn't mean its the actualized rate. Presently its lower. After playing around with many block sizes I have been getting 200 trk reward per block almost 100% of the time with coin controlled block sizes ranging between 3400-3600.

@Noise. Any plans for the rest of this and next year for TRK?
Currently I'm busy with other stuff but planning some kind of PR campaign for TRK soon enough. Also I think it would be good to expand the inflation control further by lowering max stake amount cap. Let's say change max stake amount from 200 coins to 100 coins for the next year and then set it to 50 coins forever or something like that. Not sure yet though. What do you guys think? 200% interest will create 200% inflation unless your market/demand is 200% or better. So long term I think we should seriously consider lowering interest. Is there a way to adjust interest as a result of market price and /or coin supply ? Stake reward is capped, currently max possible stake reward limited to 200 coins per block so the actual inflation for the last year was something around 130%. I believe the best and most effective way to avoid hyperinflation and keep coin value is to keep 200% stake rate but limit max reward cap gradually in a few steps down to 50 coins per block or so. Inflation, imho, classic inflation is years off as long as the ratio of coins being kept in one's balance for coin staking purposes remains the same, circa 90%, the last time i calculated it. Its like a voluntary lock up or burn, where the staking interest is preserved, taken off the market, not thrown back on the market, instantly, as in pow mining. I think that btc fud is the main cause of price drop, not just for Truck, but almost every alt coin and that as btc scaling settles in Truck prices will keep rising as those mbtc's being generated daily by the TruckCoin virtual generator starts to become significant coinage! I vote for doing nothing this year, just watch and if I am right Truck value will keep increasing with a healthy/healthier btc.
