Stupid question but are these available for sale in USD? If not are there any other coins allowed for payment outside of BTC? Thank you in advance.

0.25 transaction fee seems pretty high IMO. I would imagine if the currency is $1000 a transaction would cost $2.50... I mean better price than Bitcoin but still pretty high.

So is this just like a bitcoin fork with POS? Will users need to stake or do anything to earn interest?

If I had to choose one at this point I'd choose gold. Bitcoin is still in beta and can have bad actors mess with it. Gold is physical and you hold it in your hand. I think Bitcoin is an up and coming software that will beat out gold in the long run.
