2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paying assassins and drug dealers with bitcoins in 2010...... on: November 20, 2013, 07:15:29 PM
If we assume assassins are in it for the money and not because they are psychopaths. Then you could say bitcoins helped save lives as they would be able to retire on what they made. Wouldn't like to meet an assassin the day he found out how much his wallet is worth and he can't remember the key Cheesy
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 1 year of mining for 1,300. on: November 20, 2013, 07:05:25 PM
I would never buy a mining contract as if the difficulty goes up to a point your not going to make any money. Probably when the 2TH miners come online then you have a chance to sell it quick on ebay and make more back than trying to mine with it.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone else buying Bitcoins now and holding for the long term? -11/20/2013 on: November 20, 2013, 06:52:47 PM
I plan on buying a couple now and see how it goes. I am holding most for the long term and try the markets with some to get experience in trading. If I have things to sell I always offer a discount to people if they pay me in BTC to try and get the word out more as it needs to be used.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why mining is not wort the time? on: November 20, 2013, 05:44:13 PM
I mine for the fun of it as I know I will never make a ROI. Setting up the miner, Maintaining it, adding cooling and overclocking. I have more knowledge of Linux than I did before I started which is a bonus too. But looking at the prices of the asic miners on ebay I could sell it all now and come out with a small profit. I am going to start buying BTC now when the current bubble bursts  Wink. I will use the income from the miners to offset the fees. If you never sell a bitcoin and they do go up in value a lot you would make a ROI in the end but it's a gamble.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's stupid that newbies must make 5 posts and browse for 4 hours. Here's why on: November 19, 2013, 03:22:50 PM
Well for most of the forum I can understand the restriction. But the Mining Support section I think would have a lot of newbies needing help starting.
I have overclocked 3 Blue Fury miners to 2.8 Ghs and would post my results to help others but I can't yet.
