The coins are not actually moving as stated in that article. It's just manipulation dust spam.

Dogecoin is basically Goxlag. while BTC was dropping, some people were distracted and had fun with DOGE instead of cashing out and writing off crypto. Long live Doge, long live crypto.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with BTC China still open but not really accepting deposits in any substantial way, can we not expect it to hold us down until Jan 31st? The arbitrage situation is tenuous and will take a few days to sort out. Also, what are the Chinese going to do with fiat from Bitstamp? While the market has processed this reality, not much has changed about it. Curious situation.

Looks to me, Bitstamp wouldn't have a third of it's traffic if it is not due to Bitfinex leveraged trading.

Bitfinex went down 10 minutes ago for server moving and Bitstamp is suddenly very quiet.

Did Bitfinex give an ETA on how long they were going to be down?

30 mins to hour

Can anyone with previous experience with Bitfinex downtime confirm if they've met those timelines in the past? My experience with BTC server downtime is that it's always longer than stated.

Looks like a squat toilet formation is forming. As long as China forgets to flush, I think we're in the clear.

After factoring the news from China into the stages of a bubble model and extrapolating, I've come to the following conclusion:

Guys I tried to warn you. Hope you listened.

Chinese just provided a blueprint for how to kill bitcoin. Outlaw fiat deposits but allow withdrawals.

Strongly suggests that the only reason most, if not all, traders buy bitcoin is to acquire more fiat.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Of course it does. Adoption follows speculation. We are at the speculation phase.

While fiat blocking is certainly a BTC weakness right now, not all countries can just shutdown exchanges as easily as the Chinese can. Getting real sick of China's shit right now though, hahaha.

Not a healthy foundation.

No, not really, but how healthy can you expect such disruptive technology like Bitcoin's foundation to be? Something that directly competes with every country in the world's REAL power. While this is my first BTC bubble, I deeply understand the 'early adopters risk more and should be rewarded more' aspect now.

The chart from that article is great. It looks like one of the troll charts from this thread.

Anything that is reliant on communist government mood has problems, so let's stop be reliant on China and do what we were doing good without China too.

ftfy

Lol, china wins for curves this time and stamp gets disqualified for turtling Smiley

In reality.. the smartest people are those on BTCChina waiting for all time lows if this exchange is going down.. hey all my cash into btc sell at another exchange when the prices stabilizes....and while I am at it I'll just move to a country that likes human rights and I can do so now that my fiat is in btc except for the plane, train or automobile ticket.

Except they don't realize their country is shit any more than Americans do.

come to Canada then, were not so bad. But no where is really perfect can't wait till Goat buys an island and we can move there and start a btc only community.

Sign me up. I don't care what coast.
