Hello, is it too late for redemption?
No, it is not. You have almost three more months to make redemtion at 1:1000 ratio.
|
|
|
You should have 664.503 $PAC coins now because 1000 old coins were exchanged for 1 new coin.
|
|
|
What was promised was the price going up x 1000, if i bought 1000 old PAC against 0.00000001 satoshi the value would be 0.00001000 sat. When the fork happened that should have become 1 $PAC against 0.00001000 sat. There was no discussion about this taking longer or it would happen on the long run because the coin would rise in value. You paid too much for the old PAC. The price of any coin in BTC market cannot be lower than 1 satoshi. However, it does not mean that the real vaule of the coin is 1 satoshi. You should have used some other market, like DOGE. You could have bought old PAC at much lower price.

If you have not done redemption then I would suggest you do it as soon as you can, you only have this month at 1000 paccoin to 1 $PAC then next month it drops to 2000 paccoin to 1 $PAC
This is not correct. According to the Whitepaper, these are important dates: Jun 1st 2018 - 1st redemption window closes, reduced 2000:1 ratio now in effect. Sep 1st 2018 - 2nd redemption window closes, reduced 4000:1 ratio now in effect. Apr 1st 2019 - 3rd redemption window closes, reduced 8000:1 ratio now in effect.

I just want to verify - to run a masternode all you need is the new wallet with 500k coins? Nothing else to it, except keep it running (or is that optional too)?
A very complicated google search for paccoin masternode instructions gives this.

I've got the Cryptopia mail as well and I'm wondering about something. Sorry if this has been explained before, but can someone clarify this to me?
The total supply will go from 100B to 3.5B, that's a decrease by a factor of ~28.6 The swap is going to be 1000:1, which means if I hold 1M coins now, I'll have 1k of the new $PAC.
But if I calculate a 1M holding according to the ~28.6 decrease factor, I should in theory be getting ~35k of the new $PAC, right?
If my calculations are off, please correct me.. otherwise, I'd like to know what will happen with the other ~34k $PAC that are withheld.
Thanks!
I think that new coins will be generated by mining and staking. That is why the total new supply is not going to be 1000 times lower. Off course, maybe I am wrong

@Raphadreamm You should read several pages of recent messages in this topic, and then ask a question. The same questions are being asked over and over again.

From the Discord channel: $PAC PUBLIC REDEMPTION - NOW LIVE With the Masternode redemption having gone smoothly, we are happy to announce that we will be opening up the Public Redemption EARLY. The redemption process remains the same, you can use the redemption addresses found on our blog post to send your old PACcoins to. However there is no minimum limit now, we will be going through the backlog of sub 500 million transactions first and then facilitating any new transactions that come through. Please send your old PACcoins ONLY to the addresses found on our official website. https://blog.paccoin.net/official-paccoin-pac-redemption-addresses/

Hello, Just to be sure, my PAC are in the old wallet. I have to download the redemption and wait the signal to transfert on it ? I am a little lost actually...
No. You may download the redemption wallet now. Backup your wallet.dat and install the redemption wallet. You should wait for the signal to transfer coins from the redemption wallet to the new $PAC wallet. It is all in this topic. Just read.

You should read this regarding staking. The key sentence is: Older and larger sets of coins have a greater probability of signing the next block. Therefore, if someone has more coins, he has a higher probability to earn stake reward. What will happen to the PAC in Cryptopia? They will not let us withdraw our coins. Cryptopia will exchange old for new $PAC coins.

@killyou72 old PAC
how do you know that http://paccoinexplorer.info:3001/address/AxmMkAeJFWUjSiqJJQtMBqt45bspFdrFgyBTW, this is the latest announcment form $PAC team: As a final statement - the redemption is going extremely well, more than 600 Masternodes have been registered to the network that's more than 300,000,000 $PAC which will be taken out of the tradeable supply on launch making $PAC an extremely valuable and scarce commodity and we only expect this number to grow. As a result of this - we are excited to announce that we will be opening up the public redemption EARLY - way ahead of our initial March 1st deadline. We will make an announcement regarding this once the public redemption is officially live. Please be patient with us, we're at 100% capacity trying to get $PAC out there. We're close, so very close. - Brad
