maybe some usefull information about staking:
set in magi.conf
stakesplitthreshold=50
stakecombinethreshold=25
this allows us to stake a lot every few minutes with small fractions of ~ 30 - 60 XMG per stake at the moment.
let's say you have 1000 XMG or more, if you
let them split down to smaller portions your posibility to stake is much higher, because you'll only stake with small fractions, your total weight will be higher and one can stake more often.
that's what i notice in our wallet. maybe play with the numbers.
have some addresses with 1000 XMG and inside 30 smaller tx (splits).

stakesplitthreshold=10
stakecombinethreshold=5
a stake needs 520 blocks (~ 9 hours) to confirm and to be able to stake 24/7 you need a decent amount of XMG splitted into smaller fractions

This sounds good in practice, but how does staking 50 coins compare to staking 200 coins as far as rewards? What I am asking, basically, is if I only stake 50 coins won't I get less reward than if I stake 200 coins and wait for the 'cooling off period'?
Aren't staking rewards based on the amount staked and the age of the coins? If I split my coins into 50 coin segments instead of staking the entire 200 coins, won't I receive less reward?
This is an honest question that you might be able to answer through the experimentation you are currently conducting.
