How can I run DSTM under OS X Terminal?

is usin an algo switch more profitable than sticking to one? Does moving the miner around with an auto switch decrease profitability?
currently auto switching within equihash.

I'm getting 180-190 sols for each 1050ti. The 980ti is getting 480-490 sol/s. But the readout doesn't work for sol/w. Waiting on few more GPUs for that rig so all are the same to see if that fixes the efficiency readout.

Have 5 GPUs:
1-Gigabyte 980ti
4-MSI 1050ti
The 1050ti are not displaying sol/w. It's zero on all 4.
How do I fix it?

get out of mining since its clearly not for you since you cant even troubleshoot. how bout do some research before coming on here begging for someone to help your ass Not very helpful. What good is a forum you can't ask question in? |

DOES SMOS support auto switching bewteen coins/ports within same algo?
Can't you simply modify the Claymore config and have it point to a coin-switching pool (single algo) like miningpoolhub offers? I think I figured it out using some scattered instructions on miningpoolhub. I had to use an auto switch port. So changed the port in SMOS ESTM to point to the appropriate switch port. And set the workder in miningpoolhub to the matching job. done...working... |

I'm sure this is a stupid question. I just built my first rig, 3 cards, waiting on the other 3 to arrive. I loaded SMOS, am I supposed to load windows also? Feel like I'm googling and googling and not finding an answer to a complete guide to building and setting this up. thanks a million -D
follow the instructions in the installation section of SMOS page. It’s a very easy process. But to answer your question, no operating system is required other than what the SMOS install IMG puts on the USB stick. Happy mining. |

Can i Run amd and Nvidia Cards in 1 rig and oc them together?

Yup, been running calculations everyday. WhatToMine helps with the current GPU calculations/vs cost but they don’t lost any of the older gpus. Like nvidias 9 series. So far 1050 ti have seem to be the best bang for the buck making for quicker ROI. But even those are becoming hard to find at decent price/hash compared to the 1060/70/80.

Hello,
I just started using this and I have to say that I really enjoy it and I believe that I will move all my rigs on your operating system.
I have just one thing that I don't understand.
I started my 6 GTX 1080Ti and it worked on the first try, all 6 gpu's were showing and the mining speed was above windows, so I shut it down and placed it back on the shelf and now I get " No screen session found.", miner doesn't work only if i restart the rig and it only detects 5 GPU's . ( Didn't change anything, just placed it on a shelf, all risers and cables are ok, the rig is not connected to any screen, the 6th gpu starts but the miner doesn't see it)
What could be the problem?

If it was working before you physically moved it, then it's not an SMOS issue. Sounds to me you need to recheck your power connection. May want to remove GPU one by one then restarting in between to isolate which card is the issue. Then you can further replace riser check it's cables etc.... risers are a known problem. Bad QC. |

Current settings are core 0, memory 600, limit 225

On the miner screen....what do the line readouts mean. I see the GPU number then its temp. Next I see Sol/s (hashrate). What is Sol/w? Sol per watt? Next is the average which is self explanatory. What is I/s? What is Sh? Then there is a 1.00 and the following line another number. What are those last few numbers for?

How did you fix it? I get a connection error after replacing "youraccount" with my zec wallet address. Below is the dstm-v0.5.7 default config.
--server europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com --port 20570 --user youraccount.$rigName --pass x

Hello everyone.
New to crypto this week! I have a huge learning curve going on right now! Not new to building computers though.
Due to the extremely HIGH price and scarcity of the 1080s, 1070s and 1060s, I plan to us 6 1050 ti 4gb from MSI. Once I get ROI and prove to the admiral that mining may be profitable, we plan to expand into a room full of GPUs and its' own aircondition.
What is the individual hash rates for the 1050? Are there any sites that show GPU hash benchmarks?
Thoughts?
