Does anyone know how long/what level you would have to be to make 1 gr of gold?
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you really believe in bitcoin as a currency? on: November 26, 2013, 09:08:13 PM
if I have it right the maximum number of transactions btc network can handle is 7 per sec. coffee purchase and walmart trip has to go offchain eventually.

I've seen the "coffee" argument before (and may have used it once before). What would be possible outcomes to overcome it?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poor on: November 26, 2013, 08:00:03 PM
That is just pure dumb in my opinion. I like bitcoin, but I am not planning my entire life on the viability of the matter.

I'd even say the guy accepting foodstamps with over $9,000 in bitcoins (more than double digits, price at $900 now) is a leech...

I have to agree. 9 grand in assets is much more than I have. I am living paycheck to paycheck, without gov assistance. Though I am not fully aware of your friend/acquaintance's full situation.

guys you should stop panicking. Keep in mind, that of course he cheated many of us by not paying what he promised but remember:
No matter if you have signed from referral link or not you are paying the same taxes (to admin if not referral). Thus you are losing nothing by playing as his referral. But since he not behaved nicely i suggest to just create new game and start again with more knowledge than before.

What i propose is to post our referral links here and sign up new game for latest ref link. Eg.
I will post mine, then next person will create new account on mine refer and submit his ref link and next person will create account on his link etc. That way we will help each other and later can send OP to hell.
my ref link:
www.goldentowns.com?i=46066
someone create new game on this and post his ref link for others.

Great idea but without the 1btc reward , many people won't bother to play.
Also it's quite hard to make some real cash with it without first investing in it at this stage.

I honestly don't understand what people are expecting from such games, to be able to earn monthly wage by playing game for 5 minutes a day? Smiley

No not a monthly wage, but at least a way to increase my bitcoin total a bit...

WOOT! Just in case y'all are wondering if anyone ever really wins anything higher than the smallest payout...

I'm giddy Smiley

Yeah, I've hit the middle one once as well and second last one a few times. In about 100 rolls, which is good saying as the odds should be 7/10,000 for the middle. Has anyone here hit the big one?

I hit level 5 yesterday, I have sent him 2 pms about the payout.  Still no payout (been over 24h), everyone be very careful investing time and money in this game because the user might not payout.

Let us know if you hear anything...I don't really want to spend any more time on this game, if I'm not going to get paid.

I've been experiencing severe pain in my head (shooting pain in the back of my head) when I lift. It's happened for the last 3 days now. Only when I exert myself and lift weight, I mean I am okay right now. Has anyone ever experience this before? I am going to the doctor tomorrow, just wondering if anyone else might have some information.

17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Gold and Silver lose all its speculative value to Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2013, 02:37:18 PM

All of Bitcoin's rules require math only and no electricity. As I said, it's impossible to place transactions in blocks without electricity. However this is always impossible with gold. So, without electricity, Bitcoin will merely fall back to the less efficient solution used by gold. I don't think I can spell it out even more.

Gold doesn't require a "block", math or anything digital to be used as a medium of exchange.  And I don't know anybody who can solve "blocks"  math problems by hand so, your argument is garbage.  Without electricity, there is no mining and without mining, there is no way to prevent double spending.  So, without electricity, Bitcoin is worthless numbers written on a paper.  Sounds a lot like our current paper fiat.  I'll stick with gold in such a situation, thanks.   Grin

Are we talking about a post-apocalyptic future, where don't expect electricity to return?  Tongue I'm pretty sure everything will lose value, except food and other necessities. (maybe bottle caps, got to start saving those). Otherwise, I think Bitcoins would survive a 1 or 2 day power outage.
