Check online the power usage of each GPU's
I have a 6 1060 Strix RIG and a 850 W power supply, I don't use it really well.
I think you can go for this power supply. but in terms of evolution of your RIG, I would go for a 1000 or 1200 Watt power supply if you think going to 6 high spec GPU on your rig.

Hello guys.
I can see today on whattomine.com that I should switch from ETH to ETC. The fact is that I really think that ETH will raise back for sure to a really good value end 2018.
And the point is that I am not sure that the ETC will raise really.
After I have started mining one month ago with a RIG that I built mining at 140 Mh/s for 520 Watts.
I also think that when ETH will change from POW to POS, every miner will switch to ETC and maybe the value will explode too. But I am not sure.
What do you guys think about it ?
Thank you
I've been mining ETC and other dagger coins instead of ETH. For me, mining is not my main source of income, so I can play more flexible strategies like mining new coins where difficulty is very low and the rewards are very high and where the coin seems promising. I've been able to build significant positions in new coins that it wouldn't be possible with bigger coins such as ETH or ETC. I always keep a mix of both, profitability and the ability to hold a significant position in terms of total supply, specially when there's no liquidity. I've been mining ETC as my main coin due to technicals, its btc value needs to correct, and is currently correcting so I always plan ahead. What I mine this month, I plan cashing it out in two or 3 months, some holdings a year, 2 years, 10 years. Always plan short, mid and long term. I don't mine ETH anymore because I was able to buy enough in the beginning of last year. Just as new and promising coins this year, I'll be able to buy enough of them and create a position that maybe in one or 2 years I won't be able to build anymore. You seem to have a good knowledge in this. You get that a coin is good only from the whitepaper provided ? Have you got a powerfull RIG / ASIC to mine ? I will keep ETH for the moment I said until it will be to hard to mine for me. Because I have seen that the difficulty is skyrocketing now !

I have seen online that people said that ETC was a dead coin already a long time ago. I know that ETH is a sure value. I believe that it will raise back a lot.
Just I was thinking that the ETC will grow after.
That switch from POW to POS will happened end of the year I guess. There are conversation about it for a while already !!
Just that I think that I will mine ETH until it will be to hard to get coins then I will switch to ETC.

Hello guys.
I have checked today the price of ETH that dropped and the price of ETC. I can mine both at 140 Mh/s.
I checked ROI, ETH is still a shorter than ETC but the chance to get a big profit would be better with ethereum classic no ?

1520 Mhz for clock speed and 4450 Mhz for memory speed.
there are all with the same overclock settings.

Hello everyone. I have 6 GPU 1060 6gb strix 4 with micron memory and 2 hynix (sad) any idea why I have this Hashrate ? https://ibb.co/hFUfuRI precise that the 2 slow cards are micron memory and not the hynix one. Thank you

Hello everyone.
I have just finished to build my new mining rig.
6x 1060 GTX strix 6gb MSI Z270 a pro 8gb DDR4 SSD 64 gb Corsair 850W Modulair
I mine with ethminer and I have overclocked my cards memory. My hashrate is 136 Mh/s on the machine. 4 GPU at 24.36 Mh/s and 2 at 20.4 Mh/s ( I first don't understand why I have 4 cards at 24.36 Mh/s and 2 at 20.4 Mh/s but I am working on it )
The Main problem is that between 136 Mh/s expected and 80 Mh/s shown on ethermine.org ... there is a huge gap.
Is it normal ?
Thank you =D
For the 6 cards power supply(SMPS) you have added will not be enough at all. Corsair 1200W would be good option for the 6 cards. Since I own the rx470 8 GB cards I have the same as I mentioned. You seems connected with the simple miner pool. If possible swap to nicehash you can get the little more than the expected hash rate for your cards.
Register yourself on the Nicehash site and add the bitcoin address to the miner software you are using. Selecting the coins such as Equihash, Cryptonight and Dagger. It will automatically swap the profitable coins
I am actually using 550 W from the wall. it was stable at 130 Mh/s then it dropped at 30 Mh/s without any shares for 30 minutes almost. I guess the hash rate depends on shares only so.
My Hash rate is super stable on my rig. and the 2 gpu that are mining at 20.5 Mh/s are not samsung or micron memory. I guess this cause the slower hashrate.

now it seems to be stable at 120 ~ Mh/s on the website. still 16 Mh/s les than on the miner. but after it is stable.
my shares are these following during last hour. 105 (97%) / 3 (3%) / 0 (0%)
Idk if these are fine. but it seems better already. lets see if during the day it stays at this ratio
Dwarfpool is better than ethermine.org ?
thank you

Hello everyone I want to order a rig this week but It will be my first real mining experience and I still had some questions Summary: Mine ethereum with ~180Mh/s RIG with or 6 x RX580 or 6 x GTX 1060 6GB (same MH/s almost ) 1) Wich of these configuration will be the best price/conso/ noise ? Noise is important because the rig will be in the room next where I sleep and there is a really thin wall 2) I have calculated the ROI that is around 5-6 month with te current price. I guess that it will increase back but does these ROI websites include the difficulty of calculation that is skyrocketing ? 3) Do you think It is a good moment to start to mine and invest in e a 3500$ machine ? Even if I think that the switch from POW to POS will not happened before end 2018 beginning 2019 Thank you I am also interested in mining other altcoins

Hello my friends. Is it me or is it time to buy Bitcoin and ethereum soon ?
|
|

I read agent smith posts too. more I read what he wrote more I think that there is something not normal with TRON. Specially with their CEO answers all the time. We have this look. amazing. Anyway, with what I have invested, and my recent value loss, it is not like I risk a lot now with this. for me it was a trial to invest on him. in hop to do a small benefit. let's keep these coins now

WOW yeah.
In fact it seems kind of True. What makes me think finally that yes it is a scam is the fact that this tweet has been released 2 days ago now and no counter reaction from Justin...
Idk where this will end. because he is still speaking about his project on twitter...

|
|
I have also read about Justin online. But a lot of people are involved in this project. I am not sure that it is a scam. even if the price keep dropping for a while now.
To everyone who said that he sold his coins. I would like to know from where you got this info? did you get it from other people who wrote on this forum that he did ? or is there a real proof of it ? Because as there are no official wallets, from where this info would come from?
I can't really believe that tbh.
