1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with Crypterra on: February 17, 2018, 02:34:47 PM
Crapterra still down nobody had payouts since around 15th Jan. What's your call Steffoboy, think they will be back or exit scam?
The site went down the 1st of february, then it came back a few days later but technically went belly up after that, what happened next is that they started a brand new website.
However no one has been able to login yet, they claim a ssl certificate for the "client area"
Thing is if they exit scammed, they would have done it already, you dont have to create all this nonsense, they have gone a great lenght to try to restore their business, and my take is that they will do it.
The main wallet is intact;

However, they have raised the price to Hashflare levels, but BTC seems to rebound as we speak. Over 19000 usd//btc all will be good even at 200 USD per Ths, but as we speak, not feasible.
Also its chinese new year going on, for 1 more week, so my best guess/hope is that add 7 days for the new year, and 5 more to fix all these problems, after that, we will know for sure.

Fair points, and I hope you are right about them coming back. The 222 BTC is intact as you say, but what about the LTC wallets. This first address was used for customer payouts, the second address has moved a total of 8332 LTC with current market value around $1.7M. It would appear they have been cashing out daily the money people invested by LTC.

2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OregonMines.com - Bitcoin & Ethereum Miner Colocation on: February 17, 2018, 01:59:35 PM
I have been an Oregon Mines customer for about 1 year now. I am very happy with their facility. I have about 20 miners (Bitmain, Avalon, and Ebit) hosted there. They have always responded to any issues with miners being down and needing a reboot. The only downtime I have experienced is once, when they adding more capacity, the power was shut down for a few hours.

They setup up my VPN access quickly, and without issue.

Though they are a little slow lately at responding to email, they always take care of an issue in a reasonable time frame. Recently had a miner go down. I emailed that night and it was back on line with in a few hours after finding it was a dead psu.

Their invoicing process is sometimes rather slow, but they always get my new miners up and running within a day or two after delivery.

Finally got up and running after a 1 month wait due to over capacity issues. It seems Oregon Mines are now into their phase 4 expansion, will be looking to add more miners if space permits. Have a working VPN connection and email support has been helpful over the last few days to help me get setup.

The pastebin has some good info also suggesting there is no mining just using mining calculators to pay people out of their own invested funds (cloud mining 101 scam). Dmitriy & Maxim do not appear to own crypterra as this was addressed on reddit by unihost who confirm they both work at unihost as technicians - https://www.reddit.com/r/Crypterra/comments/7vvy9b/unihostcom_representative_here_ama/

Well, fact is nobody knows who Crypterra are apart from possibly the hosting company and/or domain registrar if they have disclosed real information. The fake operating location is definitely a red flag considering 9 out of 10 'cloud mining' businesses seem to be ponzi schemes these days. We also have no concrete evidence that they are actually mining, no data center photos, no miner photos, no confirmed pool payouts to an address they own. In addition, their SSL cert got revoked by Comodo because many users bought hash power but where never allocated so they reported them as a fraudulent site. I have skin in the game with Crypterra (probably a lot more that I should) so I hope they come back as much as anyone. But there are a shedload of red flags already with this company so I wouldn't recommend new investors to jump in until they have shown they can honor payouts and keep their website online for more than a few days at a time.

Crypterra is based in Ireland

No, Crypterra are not based in Ireland. They setup a virtual office in Ireland with a fake phone number. Some investors visited the site and there is no trace of them there. They were based in China up until yesterday, and now are apparently moving their entire operation to another country due to the recent regulatory changes in China. To all potential investors, tread carefully and wait until the new website is up and DYOR before dumping any of your hard earned crypto into this space.

@Trinteq

Totally agree with you they won't let us buy coins with the 150$ amount. Maybe some random people yes so that they can make pics to unproof that strategy.

yep, it is extremely fishy to say the least. Oh well, they already lost 99% of the crypto communities trust and this shady ICO is just making matters worse. They advertise the $150 per BCC as if its some kind of compensation package for the victimized investors who lost $$$$'s in their exit scam, but reality is nobody can exchange @ $150.

Still doesn't work for me.
I keep watching it at 12 am UTC, and every day the site begins showing error 500, then that the coin is almost sold, then - puff - all's sold! And that takes only ONE MINUTE of me watching... Wtf?
If that's for real, then who are those people buying that weird coin so quickly?
And if that's some kinda "show" for idiots, then what kind of algorythm did they apply, and, for god's sake - why?

I logged in yesterday again just before 12 AM UTC, and can say it looks like some kind of algorithm to make it look like 13m worth of BCCX tokens are being sold in 1 minute or less. They likely have this in place so they don't need to issue the BCCX tokens at the 'promo' rate of $150 per BCC. Total scam same as Bitconnect, as the above poster pointed out. I had 0% investment in Bitconnect but picked up some BCC tokens dirt cheap during the sell off. Would like to exchange them for BCCX as an outside bet of it having more value than BCC in the future, but so far its not possible to exchange on their scam ICO site. My hunch is that once the 10 day $150 period is over, it will work normally and we can exchange BCC for BCCX at $50 per token.

logged in at 12 AM UTC exactly and the "Total sold today : 261,333" did not reset. They either don't know what time 12 AM UTC is, or they are not releasing tokens for some reason. There's no way $13m worth of BCCX tokens are being bought within the first minute each day.

I will post an update on my issue as soon as I hear from them. At this point I don't know if OM has the miners, since there is no update from OM regarding delivery status and no ticket system that I can find that actually works.

Quote
I'm also satisfied customer. The only minor issue is that I'm waiting over weeks for VPN access but it was probably caused by some problem on the payment provider (the invoice was not marked as paid). But overall experience is the best among all (three) hostings I have tried so far.

Glad to hear you're having a good experience, one of the main reasons we chose to ship them out to OM was they had more positive feedback than other co-location providers. Also looking to get VPN access setup when the miners are online.

Paid for reservation space for the recent expansion project, that required 50% of the annual hosting fees up-front. Then shipped in $10k worth of Bitmain miners delivered successfully at the Oregon Mines facility on Mon 8th Jan. Not had any response all week via support emails and the miners are still offline. Am I unlucky here or has anyone else had these kind of issues?
