Well ... if its false, then it would be very interesting to hear, why "your rig" is mining like this:

.. but nice try.

Modded bios for Radeon RX5700XT(X) 50th anniversary, can be used on any 5700XT with turbine cooling (tested by me), could be work for many 5700XT graphic cards (not for sapphire Nitro+, tested and not working).

Here is modded bios (freq, voltage, timmings, fan) called 875.rom with stock memory, 875MHz (1750MHz), I use this from 2 months ago,  0 crashes, gives approx 53,7xxMH for under 95Watts showed by GPU-Z.

No needed to use any OC software, like afterburner, etc.

Click on picture(s) for max resolution, I use Windows 10 Pro 1909 edition, modded by NTLite software (removed antivirus, updates and alot of useless junks), with Adrenalin 20.4.2 as video driver :

Here is modded bios (freq, voltage, timmings, fan) called 885.rom with a little OC memory, 885MHz (1770MHz), also stable but I prefear stock memory freq, gives approx 54,6xxMH for under 95Watts showed by GPU-Z.

No needed to use any OC software, like afterburner, etc.

Hi,
do you have any more tips for edition BIOSes outside this 5700xt edition? (like for Pulse, or Sapphie) - BIOS editor, BIOS romes, straps, ... .
Your number looks great, but Im not on those types of 5700xt.
To handle OC jsut via BIOS and avoit to use PhoenixMiner to set those by params, would be great.

Any tip for older 4GB cards (like R7 370) which throws error when generating DAG:

Code:
GPU1: Free VRAM: 3.885 GB; used: 0.001 GB
GPU1: Disabling DAG pre-allocation (not enough VRAM)
GPU1: Allocating DAG for epoch #359 (3.80) GB
GPU1: Allocating buffers failed with: clCreateBuffer (-61).
Fatal error detected. Restarting.

Ive tried -gser  -gser 2, -clNew 0, altInit...
Tested on 5.1c and 5.0e. Same results with claymore, linux EthOS.

./PhoenixMiner  -proto 3 -coin eth -amd -altinit -gser 2 -worker xxx -log 0 -wdog 0 -pool stratum+tcp://pool:4444 -wal 0x000

13h 30m to go.. no rush.
Its just good to know if its going well and we can "hope". Or its time to look for another miner. Any approximations are welcomed. Just let us informed. Thanks and gl.

Hi, any news for upcomming GRIN hardfork? (cuckarooz29). It is next week.

https://forum.grin.mw/t/grin-v4-0-0-network-upgrade-hard-fork-3-july-2020/7001

Quote
On block 786,240 (on July 16 2020 around 11 PM UTC) Grin will hard fork. As such the secondary proof of work will change.

If you are mining with the secondary PoW (C29) you must upgrade your mining software to a compatible version: cuckarooz29. If you don't, your shares will be rejected.

Grin v4.0.0 is a network wide upgrade. Apart from updating their binaries in order to transact after the upgrade, users are not required to do anything. Stored grins will not be affected.

On your web is still "NOTICE: Auto Tune Disabled until bugs are worked out."
Ive checked this firmware on 13.1.2020, and today (31.1.2020) its still there.

The firmware itselfs looks promising, tools/scan/deployment looks good also.
But those auto-tune features would be even better.

PS: On your view is Awesome miner screenshot besides its nowhere inside video.

Hi,
is still Phoenix 4.6c compatible with eth-prox?
Im using Phoenix 4.6c on EthOS (linux),
with proxy eth-proxy (python, linux) https://github.com/Atrides/eth-proxy

Ive tried also -proto 1..4, same result. Miner dont get work from proxy. Maybe its on proxy side, maybe its asking in bad way by miner, I dont know.
Ive tried also other eth-proxy (that GO version from dwarf, none success either).

ANY tips, ... like ANY for working eth proxy for linux is welcomed. Ive tried, search and run all kind of them, none is working now (they worked .. maybe .. at 2017, but not today).

Hi, why here or on pool is literally none mention about Linux based miners? There isnt any?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.2c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: June 19, 2019, 09:29:56 PM
Hi,
Im on "Phoenix Miner 4.2c Linux/gcc - Release build".

And and AMD RX470 I have an issue that after a while (hour) the miners freeze and stops mining.
Its not able to kill it (even with -9).

Restart helps, but to make a restart every hour is akward. This is happening to kinda all RX470. On RX480, 580, .. they are all fine. Same settings and version.
Ive also tried "-altinit -gser 0". Since without it the RX470 soing event start to mining.

Any tips?
(eh, last ethos and miner).

Code:
ethos     2705  0.0  0.0      0     0 ?        D    20:50   0:00 [PhoenixMiner]
ethos     7716  0.0  0.9 186792 38336 ?        Ds   20:50   0:00 /opt/miners/phoenixminer/PhoenixMiner -altinit -gser 0 -proto 2 -amd -worker ...

The more Im trying to explore this beautiful crypto open-world minded, the more nail Im finding on the way.

Like, this day Im investigating this bug .. (I guess my monerodaemon get forked due syncing. Cool. Theoretically I get it. I watch v7, v8, .. cn_r ... but no idea how to fix it).
A lot (few) of tutorial are for windows. And for Linux its well ... none of those solve forked chain:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/7hhgjx/monero_gui_01110_helium_hydra_megathread_download/

Dont get me wrong. I still like it. But its harder and harder to enjoy this exploring due all those difficulties. I gues Stochi want to make it easy, clean .. like easy to understand and verify for everyone.
Oh, Im not even able to make a walet (with full sync) working.

Loogin forward to see some tutorials. Its 2am, gn.

peer claims higher version that we think - we may be forked from the network and a software upgrade may be needed

Thank.
I will look into it.

I spend a whole weekend with this pool
https://github.com/Snipa22/nodejs-pool
its .. almost working,. but also there were 3 blockers, and will not its still not working properly.

Its harder to follow any tutorial since after 6 month its outdated (nodejs specially).

It is kinda stranga that such big coin like monero dont have any up-to date tutorials.
Also 1st posts at many forum are outdated too (like 3 years old info).

Hello,
is there ANY working tutorial how to create own monero (cn_r) pool? Time passes and any tutorial now is not working. I tried all that I could find.

Popular is:
https://github.com/zone117x/node-cryptonote-pool
but this one is NOT working. Git is full of "not working" issues, still not fixed.

Those tutorials are from 2017 and 2018/02, but they dont work anymore:
http://prolinuxhub.com/setting-up-your-own-monero-mining-pool-with-node-cryptonote-pool-and-ubuntu-14/
http://betbybitcoin.com/setup-monero-mining-pool-using-node-cryptonote-pool/

Big plus would be for tutorial that includes wallet daemon and not just pool itself (which is not enough to try to make own pool node).

Thanks you.

Hello,
simple question: How is current Monero DIFFICULTY calculated?

I can't find or Google any suitable answer (forum, web, official web/form...). Question is about figuring out how is diff. balance made on Monero. I guess that there isnt any gravity algo. More or less it seems to scenerio like: take 2000 block, cut 20% from both sides, calculate average, estamine next diff. to target 2 minutes per block.

Is there any article covering this question? It is kinda essential for tomorrows fork. When some hash power will vanish, then how long it will take for network (how many time or block) to adapt back with lower amount of miners.

Thanks.
