the youtube link above shows how loud it is.
Just checked it out, thank you for that! i think I will stick w/ the Apollos & perhaps sell my S9. Seems like the S9 pulls 80W-85W per TH even at the lowest settings. The Apollo BTC's on Eco pull like ~60W per TH (but you obviously only get 2). That's only 10W per TH away from something like a Whatsminer M32 @ 68 TH (~3400W or 50W per TH). T17's seem to get 55W per TH. Kind of wild when you look at it thru that perspective. I'm a lot more impressed w/ the Apollo after doing a bit more research on it. The issue with Apollos seem to be sourcing it.

Lots of great info in this thread. I've opted to wait for batch 3 Apollos.
Hopefully I can get my hand on a few of them!

If living in an area that gets cold during the winter an Avalon A841 works great as a space heater. Throttled down to 9THs and fan limited to 40% it's nice and quiet while pulling about 750w. ...
This is the best bet - Canaan Avalon A8 - rather than the S9. Way more reliable, and uses original firmware, you don't have to work out how to hack in an after market firmware that can also charge you 2% Getting an old, working, not overclocked and due to die soon, S9 is a crapshoot. I run an A851 a couple of meters behind me (it's winter now) 24/7 as a heater - it's low pitch quiet enough 9TH/s Thanks for the tips. What do you do in the summer months?

Thanks Philip. Can you link your specific thread on these miners that you sell? Looking at your post history, I can't find it easily.

Those Apollo miners look great, but seemingly, like most great BTC hardware, difficult to source.

The FutureBit Apollo (which you can see threads for here) is probably the newest hobby SHA-256 miner toy. Runs 2-3TH/s at ~200watts.
Thanks a lot for this. This seems quite ideal, particularly as it appears to bundle in a Bitcoin full-node!

I have dabbled in mining with Whatsminers in my personal storage room, but now my extended family is catching the bug. I do not think their homes are appropriate for rigging up 220v lines or any serious mining, so I'm wondering if there are modest setups out there that can be run on 110v, and not render a room 100 degrees or otherwise unusable.
Any opinions on this?
No alt-coin mining, only interest in SHA-256.

Alright, I think I have fixed my PM settings, so I'm bumping this back to the top. Titans, want to try now?
If these don't sell here within the week, I'll post the ebay link for y'all!

|

Okay, I'll see if I can toggle a setting on my end and post back here.
|
|
|
That's interesting? What error are you getting when you try to PM?

|

lol! This is pretty awesome and if my wife and kids let me, I'd definitely get it. This would be a good convo starter

Ideally, both go in one sale, $9500 USD or its equivalent in Bitcoin at the time of sale.
These miners have been treated well and perform perfectly, just need the power for other miners at the moment and I'm running them out of my garage. If you have any interest, hmu. Pick-up is preferred (Glendale, AZ) but I recognize unlikely given we are on forums here. If no pick-up, I'm good with using an escrow-agent from this site or a legitimate site.
PM for details, pics, videos, etc.
EDIT: Sold to titans00983

Please help us understand why you went to the effort of uploading a stranger's picture of a KNC Titan but chose not to photograph the one that you own.

Over 2 months with this stupid bulls*it??? Hahaha. Buyers should at least lower their bids by the daily earnings lost, playing circle jerk with this Cluster f%&k.
I considered that but coins went up. So at 900 plus shipping I am still good. To be fair my farm was a bit heat capped for the summer so I am okay with the delay. I just did not want to deal with Tesla the op and the op s friend . If he gets them in hand soon I wooul take two one for me and one for the general Time is ticking and I have been adding gpu rigs. As I can use PayPal One of these 53 th units earns about 4.80 a day. Uses 2300 watts I have l NOS mother boards. If I buy three amd GPU's for 900 the three card rig earns more then the s17 pro it earns about 5 and uses four hundred watts. Plus six months to pay on paypal. I added five gpu rigs and can add three more. At that point I would need more psu and motherboard. So I have a limit. I would buy the Eze Are you seriously using a different account for your cell phone or are you a scammer? If the former, WTF.
