I checked the upvotes.io site today and sadly, the sale code is no longer there ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Do they offer discounts regularly or was that a one time thing?

Investing in icos is still profitable if one invests on good ico projects.
Have you heard of Menlo One or WePower? There's quite a buzz about these projects here in BCT and in Reddit. I've also seen youtube videos of both projects attending interviews and conferences and their teams seem legit and serious. Also, their ratings in sites like icobench seem very high.. What do you guys think???

Be careful! 2018 has seen most ico's drop below ico price and many don't make it to exchanges (not counting idex, etherdelta) I also invest in ico's but not exclusively. I've seen some of mine drop below ico price and some go 2 x...still hoping for some market recovery and some bigger gains.
That's right. Some projects are pure hype with no actual intrinsic value... Menlo One will change that soon and I'm hoping that its release won't be postponed any further...

the demand for KYC should be mentioned in the rules at the beginning of the program so it becomes fair to us and it does not matter if I join ICO that there is a request to do KYC as long as ICO has a good, successful and trustworthy project.
Actually, I think there's a better and hassle-free way around KYC. A project called Menlo.one is launching its token sale this July and it's an ICO marketplace platform where you will only need to submit your IDs once. This is a link to the interview of Menlo's CEO, where everything mentioned above is discussed in detail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&feature=youtu.be

Ico is worth it to invest for me, because you purchased a coin or token before listed to the market and the price is more cheaper so that's you can get profit and if you are lucky sometimes more profit but if you unlucky your ICO you invested will failed or scam. Before investing to the project better to do some survey like askinh to the expert in ICO investing.
I think luck is a very minor contributor especially if devs intend to scam us in the first place. imo, we really can't tell until it happens. Speaking of ICOs, there's a token sale this coming July for Menlo One. Its plan is to create a scam free, user friendly, decentralized ICO marketplace. You guys should check it out https://www.menlo.one since KoreanJew did an interview with their CEO and the project does really seem legit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o

You miss the goal of cryptocurrency here, it is not some investment!. Cryptocurrency was created to facilitate low fees, fast transaction time that no one can control. Not some buy and hold and profit.
Come on, don't be a hypocrite.. Bitcoin being an investment is still part of what it's supposed to be. Although I do agree that it should also be remembered for being secure, fast and cheap, it has sadly failed in that aspect the past 2 years though.

yes of course bitcoin better than gold because I think the total supply of bitcoin is only a few and limited which is likely to make the price becomes very expensive while the gold in my opinion the total supply of gold is still very much and unlimited and it makes gold prices tend to be stable can provide a lot of benefits.
Not only that, gold price is pretty-much manipulated which means that it does not truly reflect its supply vs demand.

I would still hope it can reach 20k ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) it helps all coins and tokens I agree that it does help boost other coins, but it doesn't help itself in my opinion. For me, Bitcoin still has to solve its scaling issues before I would really believe that it deserves to be at a higher price and value.

I think about their unique form of comics called manga, their cute high school girls, anime, Bitcoin, and crazy prank videos in Youtube.

Traders usually don't just watch the price move, they also watch where it moves to and base it on historical data. In other words, they watch for significant price levels which server as either support or resistance.

There is no other way for newbies to become seasoned traders, but to experience the ups and downs in trading first hand... Just make sure to invest the minimum amount when just starting out and increase your capital gradually once you learn more and more.

It's not wrong to invest in Bitcoin, but I guess we need to take a second look at altcoins with high potential for growth...
|
|
|
I would look at Ripple as there is a great possibility of its price going up to at least +100x from current levels.

|
|
I would say keep buying gradually every week or when price hits a major support level.. I just bought some today..

It's true that the price is quite high now, but it doesn't mean that Eth is a scam. If only you knew the concept of trading, you wouldn't think so negatively.

Whales usually sell while the price is going up. They don't sell at the top all at once or it will cause a lot of panic. I suggest we follow the same thing. We sell portions of our holdings as targets are hit to seal our profits and don't regret it if price goes further up since you didn't lose at all. That's what's important.
