AMS needs more publicity. This coin has more to offer than lots of other popular coins.

I notice there are several people who have difficult time syncing the wallet. Here is a foolproof way:

https://steemit.com/pivx/@digicoins/re-sync-pivx-wallet

Follow the instructions exactly. AMS wallet works the same.

Additionally, for the wallet config file, it doesn't matter what you write in there. But I'd recommend you rename it and store it elsewhere, and delete it from the folder. It will create a new empty config file when AMS wallet reboots. This is a complete restart of wallet- it will start from many many weeks before you bought your coins so it will start from 0 AMS and then back to your wallet amount.

Don't ever delete wallet.dat!

As for staking, unlock your wallet and select the checkbox for "unlock for staking only". After that leave the wallet online for more than a day and you will see staking starting automatically.

Can anyone explain step by step how to re-sync an out of sync wallet?

It is at 233014 blocks and is always stuck there even when I rebuild the index of the wallet many times.

Should I go under wallet repair options -> "rescan blockchain files" or "recover transactions 1" or "upgrade wallet format" or "rebuild index"? It does not seem to matter what is written into the wallet configuration file.

That would be very helpful. Thanks!!!

Hi, i withdrew my ams from coinexchange a day ago and it still hasnt shown up in my windows desktop client. does anyone know why? the exchange completed the transaction. But the txid and wallet address show nothing in the block explorer.

is this because of split chains? is there a solution to this problem?

I got my coins in my wallet on the exact TXID like 8 days after I sent it to my wallet. Supposed to be instant, but wasn't my case. Similar to yours I suppose.

Had filed a ticket with coinexchange when it first happened. Coinexchange took some time to respond, was sent on the same TXID. It is now safe in my wallet. I can finally see the TXID on the blockchain explorer for amsterdam coin.

I suspect there is something coinexchange is doing that is causing the problem. I hope they work with the dev to figure it out. I asked for free coin from amsterdamcoin.com to send and test my wallet, it arrived like almost instantly.

Yay mine got fixed. My wallet now finally has all the coins. Coinexchange has delivered the coins to my wallet.

With Europe market now gearing up for cryptocurrency, there is a city that is the most forward moving of them all.

If there is already a developed, working coin in great shape and history AND NAME since 2014, + POS + privacy + MN I think it stands a good chance to becoming a choice bitcoin in Europe.

I have sent some coins to PC wallet generated address (PC 32-bit wallet from AMS core V4.1.0.0 - straight from amsterdamcoin.com website link) from coinexchange, says "completed" in coinexchange but I did not get any coins in my wallet.

On coinexchange end it has confirmed the withdrawal but no coins transferred to my wallet (AMS core V4.1.0.0) and TXID does not appear in AMS explorer.

It did not arrive in wallet and it has been two days since the withdrawal (January 12th). Coinexchange is not responding to the ticket yet, but I hope the dev can actively work with coinexchange to resolve this. The coin is really exciting so I hope this is a one-off case that can be solved. Have emailed info@amsterdamcoin too. Will keep everyone updated!
