3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any android apps similar to tradingview.com ? on: January 04, 2018, 09:05:49 AM
Does Trandingview have any mobile app for Android?

It's not official, but it will let you look at the chart with your list. It's normally $1, currently FREE.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mattzab.tradingview

Well that's unfortunate. It's incompatible with all of my devices :/
4  Economy / Exchanges / Why is Bittrex bad? on: January 04, 2018, 08:57:48 AM
I am moving from Poloniex, due to my verification application having no update since I last applied about 6 months ago, as well as the slow service and long loading times I endure from the load Poloniex suffers.

I'd like to change to Bittrex. I find their exchange to be the smoothest to use as well as having an amazing arsenal of chart tools to work with.
However, in spite of my positive attitude towards Bittrex, I'd like to hear about the bad experiences too.

Why is Bittrex bad? Post below.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are there any Bitcoin Debit Cards that allow under 18? on: January 04, 2018, 08:50:11 AM
You can try wirex or uquid but if you're outside EU, they won't work for you as those countries are currently not supported.

Wirex works for countries out of the EU, some countries out of the EU won't work.

To answer OP's question:

No card that I have searched for allows under 18. However, you could get it registered in a parent's name with their permission. You can "fake" it like mentioned above, and although the chances of you getting caught for doing that is slim, rather refrain from it.
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: I built a website that looks and feels like Netflix but has only crypto videos! on: January 01, 2018, 08:21:20 PM
This is great, I hope it gets the attention it deserves. However a single search on YouTube will bring up majority of the videos listed on cryptflix which makes me feel as if cryptflix may be unnecessary, maybe try of something more unique other than having a "Netflix for cryptos"

just my 2BTC

Unless you're selling Tel-Aviv, I don't think this belongs in the marketplace section. (Pardon me If I missed something)
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South African Drivers Can Now Pay Traffic Fines in Bitcoin on: December 05, 2017, 08:53:04 PM
That is not good at all, they are not smart enough. They are living on a 3rd country, maybe they can make a good living with $2 or $3 a day, and they are spending around three or four dollars per transaction?

It does not make any sense, maybe each taxi costs $1 in there (as an example) and they are paying $4 worth of fees for each taxi that they take?

What is the point with that? Can anyone explain it to me? There are losing a bunch of money, where is the notice in all this thing?

I don't think citizens of RSA will experience low value transactions if they're driving cars bud Wink

Not true. The cost of living is moderate in South Africa.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cex.io down on: December 05, 2017, 08:12:52 PM
I am not surprised. I tried using this site before and it was an absolute nightmare. Wouldn't let me withdraw.
This cex.io website is up and running again, it was just a temporarily maintenance service check up
I assume was going on in the back end.

Oh good it is back, i have big money there and keep hearing that the company behind cex.io are most likely scammers, anytime it is down, i say to myself "This is it" lol. Unfortunately, it is my only option for BTC-FIAT trading.

How'd you deduce that?
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to Bear the Loss? on: November 03, 2017, 08:00:30 PM
People who bought altcoins with their bitcoins are in a deep and huge loss due to the rise of bitcoin value.

This is accurate on my side, lost 30% of my portfolio due to the USD/Altcoin price correction. I didn't see the quick jump to 7k and because of negligence ,due to exams atm , I'm sitting at this position.
I'm just going to take a long position, Bitcoin's bubble will burst sooner or later. Imagine it dropping to the depths of 3k or so in an extreme case.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: October 27, 2017, 05:16:49 PM
Is there any place that he said he will leave updates on the value of his portfolio? I don't see anything on his steemit regarding it. If there's enough response to this post, provided there is no place there's updates of his portfolio, I'll take it up myself to provide the value of his portfolio every week based on his week 21 data. Let me know if you guys would like this.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bought BCH @ 0,20580002 - Should I sell or hold? on: September 18, 2017, 06:24:27 AM
Bch currently sits at 0.12btc. I initially bought in to day trade, which it went up to my goal on the day. However I held it, I'm not good at taking long positions and I've lost about a third so far. I'm unsure whether to cut my losses or hold. Anyone with a technical analysis or an opinion on whether or not I should cut? Anyone in the same boat?

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any android apps similar to tradingview.com ? on: September 12, 2017, 12:19:46 PM
Does Trandingview have any mobile app for Android?

As far as I know they're working on it. I know they have an IOS app however.
15  Other / Off-topic / Getting XPATH from poloniex on: September 12, 2017, 10:45:27 AM
I need to get the XPATH of the last price of a coin on poloniex. However, no matter what I try, I always get an empty response. I'm using an XPATH rather than their api since I'm needing to implement this into a personal googlesheets document and I have absolutely no time to go over the API documentation.

I have circled what I would like to get the XPATH from in the image below.

Any help?

P.S. If this is better suited for another board/subsection let me know  I'd move it asap. I had no idea where to ask this.

Many thanks!

I click deposit. I enter amount and it says I can't transfer more fuck than what I have.

How do I deposit FUCK from novaexchange to etherdelta?

I didn't even know FUCK was a thing. Post on their Reddit, they generally give support there.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but, how are you valuating your porfolio? Are you using the historical cost of the initial btc you invested with or are you valuating with the btc price changes?

EOD (End Of Day) quotes in BTC, then translated into USD. That way you have both BTC and USD valuations. For the reasons cited many times before in this thread, everything here is current, real time, EOD USD.

The same thing that Coinmarketcap does, just that they do it averaging over all listed exchanges, and I only use Bittrex data.
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Out of curiosity, do you know how much your portfolio is worth based off the original btc price you've entered with? It'll be interesting to see the value without accounting the increase in value of bitcoin.

20  Economy / Services / Re: Needed a user to BUMP a thread [$2 / month] on: August 26, 2017, 07:54:44 PM

There is a bump bot somewhere in the forum. I wasn't able to save the link but you can just search for it at the digital goods sections, maybe you'll find it there.
