La garanzia sta nel fatto che gli Host che offrono sono tutti parte del progetto, cioè collaborano e hanno ottenuto Trips.
Quindi non è nel loro interesse scammare.
In questa fase, senza una piattaforma, non saremmo in grado di gestire Host anonimi.

Sono Luca, in questo mitico forum dal 2013.
Oggi gestisco un progetto di portale decentralizzato alternativo ad Airbnb.
In parallelo allo sviluppo del progetto abbiamo già messo in piedi un sistema informale di prenotazione appartamenti con la nostra criptovaluta ERC20, i Trips.
Già oggi, chi ha dimestichezza con le cripto può prenotare appartamenti a Milano, Roma, Firenze, Torino ecc..pagando in Trips.
Il risultato è che una notte può venire a costare molto poco, anche solo 10/20 €.
Il motivo per il quale gli Host mettono a disposizione gli alloggi per Trips è lo stesso per cui Laszlo aveva comprato le due pizze per 10.000 BTC: per dare valore al token.
Gli Host in questione infatti hanno ottenuto Trips collaborando al progetto e ne fanno parte.

L’unico esborso in Euro sono le spese di pulizia.

Arrivare ad inserire la chiave nella toppa di un appartamento prenotato cosí è abbastanza laborioso, ma fattibile:
1) vi dovete procurare i Trips: o collaborando, o comprandoli in Forkdelta peer to peer nel nostro Discord
2) contattate l’Host, vi mettete d’accordo e pagate in Trips. Essendo solo Host che collaborano al progetto non rischiate la fregatura.

L'Hardware wallet è probabilmente il modo più semplice per tenere al sicuro le tue criptovalute.

Si tratta di un aggeggio simile ad un USB con un piccolo schermo, che tiene le tue chiavi private (e quindi i tuoi Bitcoin, Ether ecc...) al sicuro.
Lo puoi attaccare tranquillamente ad un computer strabordante di virus e non rischi assolutamente nulla.

Ce ne sono due di hardware wallet affidabili in commercio: Il Trezor e il Ledger.

Esiste solo un tipo di Trezor (in vari colori) mentre ci sono varie versioni di Ledger: consigliamo il Ledger Nano S.

Trattandosi di tecnologia la risposta è: dipende dall'uso che ne devi fare.

Nel caso degli hardware wallet  dipende soprattutto dal tipo e numero di cripto valute che possiedi.

I'd like to quote a price which makes the customer confident she/he's getting a good deal.
So far Mt.Gox seems the best for the buyer (and worst for us, but this is fine).
Also, I'd like the customer to see this before, not waiting for my quote.

This is the reason why I can't quote the Bitstamps price: the customer wants to see Euros and won't see them there.
And I'd like to spare him the effort to make the USD/EURO calculation in his mind.


P.S.
We don't sell goods and don't pay for what we sell so we can afford to lose the whole transaction (would not like to, but are not damaged by it).
So this is actually an interesting scenario where BTC adoption could spread as the risk is really low, even in case of crashes.

Great, that proves accepting bitcoins can actually drive new business.

So far I've simply added in the payment page "Bitcoins accepted here" and didn't do any Bitpay, or similar, integration.
So the first question the customer asks is: what exchange rate are you applying?
I am tempted to give the http://markets.blockchain.info/markets/mtgox/EUR rate but I wonder if there's some more official/balanced/suggested rate?
What would you do?

Al momento accettiamo pagamenti in BTC solo per la caparra, circa il 15% del totale del costo dell'alloggio.
Per il resto ci sarebbe da convincere i vari proprietari ma come potete immaginare ci vorra' del tempo.
Abbiamo appartamenti, case  e ville in varie parti del mondo: Italia, Bali, Messico..tutti alloggi che noi (siamo un bel gruppo) visitiamo personalmente.
E in ogni paese c'e' uno di noi in loco (siamo tutti italiani) per cui se vi serve una mano ci siamo.

maybe not. You can buy many times a day and sell many times a day, but there's a delay in receiving the money.
So you send it immediately (you have I think one hour) but receive it a few days later, so you are "out" with the money you trade for a while (because when you buy you don't own the BTC until the seller confirmed the fiat arrived and because when you sell you have to wait for the fiat)
In terms of pricing its fine though: you pay at the current rate, no delay with that.

if you want to buy NOW, you buy NOW and send Euros from your bank account to the seller NOW.
The fact that the money arrives to the seller in a few days does not matter, the price is defined the moment you buy.

Is there a guideline to what kind of POIs can be added?
I read the " Long tail challenges - was: Re: Bitcoin Spam" thread and it's not clear whether e.g. the tourist apartments I am adding are legitimate.

These are:
- brick and mortar apartments in the exact location on the map.
- you can book them paying with bitcoin only online, in my website. If you go to the apartment you won't find a reception, as it's not a hotel, but the apartment is definitely in that exact location and definitely bookable.
I think it adds value to the map in the sense that if you look for a place to stay in e.g. Prague, and want to pay with Bitcoins, you can find it in CoinMap and book it immediately, with Bitcoins.
These POIs are accepted in Google Maps as they are legitimate businesses.

Before risking to spam CoinMap or OSM, which of course I don't think I am doing, I prefer to ask.
