1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New GUN Core V1.6 Released - Masternodes Coming! on: May 17, 2019, 05:03:36 PM
Here is a more information about the Cryptopia situation.  While it is unfortunate, know that we did re-supply them with enough GUN to re-pay all coins from the hack on GUN after updating the code.  So in due time, we hope and believe that GUN owners who have coins on Cryptopia will get most or all of them back.

This is just a great reminder why you should never keep your crypto on exchanges. Instead, transfer from your exchange wallet to a private wallet.

Looks like the SSL certificate for the official pool has expired. Can someone look into this?

Since I work in the Internet security field, I'm always leery of logging into sites with invalid or expired certificates, even more so when it comes to cryptocurrency.

We will look in to it.....

I see that this is fixed. Thanks for the quick response!

Has the SSL certificate for guncoinpool.com expired again? I'm seeing a warning in various browsers.

We are in the process of being listed on Southxchange - they are testing the wallets and we should be running there in the next day or two.  thanks for the voting.

Awesome news, thanks for the update...looking forward to next steps with masternodes.

Are there any WordPress/WooCommerce plugins that work with Guncoin? I work with a small firearm parts manufacturer, and with various problems we've had in the past with Amazon Payments, etc, I'd love to add the ability to accept Guncoin payments in the future.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - Guncoin Voting for SouthXchange on: February 05, 2019, 08:05:10 PM
Guncoin is now less than 90 votes away from the amount needed to get listed on the SouthXchange.com Trade Exchange - We appreciate your support to this point and hope we get a few more by tomorrow and can be listed there later this week if we can hold the number one position for a few more days.

Contributed a little last week. I'll do a little more. Looking forward to this!

Finally found a solution for skein issues with sgminer problem and got it running but performance is disappointing - I get around 170MHs per one RX580 while on on single GTX 1070 Ti I get around 660MH. So if anyone wondered is it worth to mine this on AMDs - absolutely not unless maybe you got Vega. If anyone else got better results for AMD Polaris cards please do let me know.

Hi,

I saw that you had trouble with skein and sgminer, which I'm having trouble with as well. I've tried various versions of sgminer, and also tried renaming skein.cl to ckolivas.cl...I still can't get this to work.

What solution did you find, if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks...

Here's my config:

sgminer.exe -k skein -o stratum+tcp://pool.bsod.pw:2134 -u ADDRESS -p x -p c=ARGO --gpu-platform 0 --intensity 8 --worksize 128 --gpu-threads 8 --thread-concurrency 4608 --nfactor 10

Here's an example of what I see:

[07:45:01] Algorithm skein not found, using ckolivas.

After renaming sskein.cl to ckolivas.cl, I move past the not found error, but no shares:
