1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will we ever see BTC on a TV add?? on: September 27, 2014, 12:44:44 AM
I was thinking.. I know TV adds are expensive but I can see it now. If the word got out to the masses, those that havnt heard of bitcoin or those that think its gone after the crash.

Is that even possible? theres tons of startups spending $ on BTC technology, surly one of them could afford a 60 second slot or something..

the only way we will ever see $10k is mass involvement, BTC must be a household name. The most effective way for that to happen has always been TV.

I may be way off base but gimme your thoughts either way.

im going to offer something here, i just did a calculation..

2 TH/s

2.5 billion diff

900 USD/ 1 BTC

$10,585 profit per month

http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/

so all you guys think were going to be well over 2 billion by halfway thru next year??
i may be way off the mark looking at the replies in this thread but $10,000 for 2TH/s doesnt look that bad to me..

ROI in 6-8 weeks at most it seems like

Try this

Find your wallet.dat of your Bitcoin client

Import this into a new wallet on Blockchain.info. Your balance will show up in there and you will have access to your BTC.

thank you that worked, unfortunatly theres nothing in there :/

Easiest way is to sync your bitcoin client to latest block and then transfer the coins to multibit address. This way latest or total coins will be determined.

your going to have to explain that.. like I said im not a computer guy, talk to me like im an idiot, no joke...

1. sync how? bitcoin.qt will not sync with my old wallet.dat file

2. cannot transfer these coins because I cannot access the wallet..
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can you move wallet.dat file from bitcoin Qt to multibit on: November 26, 2013, 07:33:09 AM
ok so I have an old wallet.dat file from over a year ago on an old hard drive, i tried syncing with bitcoin.Qt, it was taking forever and would always quit by itself after I left it over 20-24 hours, And for some reason after trying it a bunch of times now bitcoin.Qt wont even open.
I have multibit installed currently with 2 wallets that im using, I want to know if its possible to make a new wallet with my old wallet.dat file?
Im on a mac and not good with terminal (command line) and pretty much confused with pywallet.. (not a computer guy.. trying to learn)

I have a windows 7 pc also if its easier

hope I can recover my old coin... help please

Hello everyone, I want to start posting in the other topics so I figured I would post here to say hi.

so I managed to get my hands on 6 of the BFL 60gh/s for around $7,500 total investment a few weeks ago, I had two mini rigs lined up for $14,000 but sadly i missed that opportunity (still kicking myself for that.. they are selling for like $20,000 EACH on ebay right now..)

so Ive been mining and SHOULD get ROI in about 6 weeks if im lucky..

on another note I need someone trustworthy to recover an old wallet of mine with a wallet.dat file, i cannot figure it out for the life of me.

glad to be mining and in the btc community
