1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easy way to send ERC20-compliant tokens with phone? on: July 03, 2017, 04:16:51 AM
It's pretty easy to add your token on myEtherWallet.

The problem isn't adding the token, it's sending it using a QR code to scan the address. I guess one option is to use ENS.

You can get your wallet address as a QR code.

Yeah, but how to you scan the QR code from the web UI? There isn't a way to enable the camera in the To: field.

Basically, I published a contract that minted some stupid coins to be traded with my co-works every time someone does someone a favor. But these guys are not crypto-nerds like us, they just need a way to easily send/receive the tokens via QR codes.

Is there anything out there that supports non-ETH tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and has multi-platform/webapp support? I tried MEW via the web, but I can't get a camera to pop up for the To Address field, which is a non-starter.
4  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: sent a transaction from jaxx wallet and disappeared? on: June 12, 2017, 02:13:14 PM
My issue with this wallet is that after sending tokens, my transactions do not immediately show up in the "Transaction History" like they do in other wallets. For example, this morning I sent ETH to an ICO address and after hitting "Confirm", the transaction literally took nine minutes to show up in the history. I assume this they are pulling the history from a block explorer, but to not know if your transaction went through is not a great feeling.

So how are the energy markets going to be tied together? I don't see how energy captured in Europe will have any effect on a grid located in the US.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MUN] Muniti: Malta's cryptocurrency - X11, D2D system - on local news on: April 20, 2014, 09:19:38 PM
Can someone tell me how to mine on these x11 pools? So far I've tried connecting to mun.crunchharder.net and mun.bitember.com using the posted sgminer binary and both tell me the miner is unable to connect to the network. It seems unlikely that both would be down considering the displayed pool hashrate is over 100mh on bitember alone.

I'm using the following options:
Code:
sgminer.exe --kernel darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://mun.bitember.com:3366 -u nipponese.1 -p x -g 2 --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 15232 -g 1 --intensity 19

Hi nipponese. Did you try forwarding your port to 3366? It could be your firewall or router settings are blocking the connection.

No, but why would it block an outgoing connection? I don't think my machine needs to be listening on that port, right?

Please look up and understand the concept of "moral hazard." You're are essentially saying Gox was "too big to fail," and should have been bailed-out. Have you learned nothing from the past six years of the current global financial crisis? And we're still not in the clear on this one...
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to buy bitcoin cheaply? on: February 26, 2014, 06:10:58 PM
Think about what you're saying: You're asking where you can find money for less than what others are paying. If such a thing existed, why would anyone tell you? Can you tell me where to get gold for cheap?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: February 16, 2014, 02:36:53 AM
aur.easy-mine.eu open new stratum in US: stratum+tcp://us-connect.easy-mine.eu:3445

Is there a reason the AUR pool isn't https when the coino pool is?

What's with all the positive hits from virus detection?

no new orphans on aur.cryptoculture.net since Feb 8... it looks like we're in the clear.

11 hours at aur.cryptoculture.net and 40% of my shares have been orphaned.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why a hedge fund not to corner Gox to gain for arbitrage? on: February 01, 2014, 01:59:38 AM
imagine a hedge fund buy tons of coins (i.e $20m worth) in other exchanges, ship to dump in Gox to arbitrage, then hire a team of legal counsels down in Japan to ensure they can collect fiat back within one month or two; this should still be a relatively safe strategy to take 15% plus gain despite labour some and maybe one off. is there any activist hedgee looking at this?

Has anyone confirmed that Japanese bank accounts are/are not receiving the same stone walling on deposits?

1) invalid username/password combination - probably your case (we are adding Forgot Password feature today).

You are going to make one user extremely happy today!

17  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Should a PCI-E 16X to 4X Riser be powered? on: January 27, 2014, 12:59:26 AM
Looking at 16x to 4x riser cables, it seems like most of them are unpowered. Are powered risers required for mining on 16x to 4x conversions? What about 16x to 1x?
18  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Open Source secure trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: January 12, 2014, 04:06:38 PM
Hello, can you please explain to me how "subsequent sell order" works?

I would expect that after entering "1%" and hitting "Apply" that the Sell form to the right would be calculated based on 1% profit, but instead the % field jumps to 4.449%. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding this feature? I made a video of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2eCeIRz8is&feature=youtu.be

I have fixed it. v1.07.97 is coming soon.

Wow, thanks for the fast reply! Looking forward to it. Great tool!

n00b here... can someone school me up real fast on PCI-e slots and mining?

• Are all multi-GPU setups implementing ether Crossfire or SIL?

• Does every slot need to be 16x? It seems 1x to 16x risers are being use in some setups.

• If not, is there a theoretical limit on the number of GPUs I can add to a board?
