1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Inevitability of Million Dollar Bitcoin on: December 27, 2016, 09:13:54 PM
In the end, if BTC continues to grow, it MUST reach a point where the value is $1000000.  I mean this assuming the value of $1million today.  I expect long before BTC ever grows that much the actual USD will become worthless, dropping past the point where you'd have to pay a million or more to buy one BTC.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever lost BTC from getting infected? on: December 27, 2016, 09:07:02 PM
For years I kept my coins in a wallet on my PC, luckily I never had any stolen. Thankfully we have good, affordable hardware wallets now.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: December 27, 2016, 08:28:18 PM
Ledger or Trezor. (I use Ledger Nano-S)

Thats all there is to say about it.

Taken in a vacuum you would almost tend to sympathize with the crocodile tears being shed by the dev for his moderation efforts.

You have to realize however, for the ones complaining about the deleted posts, this is a mode of operation that they have become used to through the running of their own site. At Btc-e they host a chat that is strictly monitored. Any mention of specific coins that they dislike,  like Doge, or sites they dislike like Cryptsy most often leads to a ban of a week or more. They shroud this in not wanting talk of competing coins, but the moderation really only applies to the few pet peaves that they have, and an occasional 1 hour ban for others to add believability. Their default behavior is to censor so that their own propaganda can be heard above all else. It seems that the real solution would be to start other threads that they can't delete the posts on. Negative press is negative press, and if you have 100 threads screaming about the failure of the coin, its much more effective then posts 100 pages into the announcement.

The real irony is that they rail against Doge in particular for being premined, and a joke. Then at the same time they release a premined coin. Whatever the basis of that premine is. I don't really feel that a pre-mine is a horrible thing. All currency is pre-mined, I can't be mad that Joe Bob got ahead i the game, when he got there first. As long as there is 'enough' fairness, thats all there really needs to be. Still, there is some real hypocrisy involved here when they consistently deride other coins premine, and then one of their own releases a coin that so loudly touts its use of that tool.

if they want this coin to have any kind of credibility it has to be relaunched. Of course that won't happen, because it's obviously a profiteering scam.

If you guys do not know how to solomine then you should not have waited till launch to try to figure it out. You could have experimented and figured out how to set it up on any other coin.  I understand the frustrations but, SHEESH.  It does suck that the pool is not open, we all would benefit from that, and there is not really an excuse, but hey, life ain't fair. Tongue

Are you serious? Who's talking about settings? We're talking about scammers devs and scamcoin using solominers as a confirmations for their instamining blocks! They SUCK! BIG! Maybe life ain't fair as you say but the community must stay healthy. We'll continue this on Cryptsy ticket, you bet!

obvious scamcoin is obvious

Not a scamcoin it's just an unprepared launch. Solomining is working and the only pool in existence is working but overloaded. I guess those that invested in the fundraiser made the right choice.

2M premine, mega.co.nz links dead, people paying for pool. Scammiest scam that was ever scammed. "unprepared" launches  happen for a reason.

Here's an idea. Maybe if they had a website that actually worked in an acceptable fashion they wouldnt have so many support tickets to deal with. the amount of times the pages are unresponsive or take 30 seconds to load is unacceptable from any website. For this to be the case on a website solely dealing with time critical financial transactions is simply beyond belief.

Surely the very least they should be doing is suspending all new signups until the site is up to speed, but no the problem seemingly gets worse every day. Instead of limiting signups and trying to provide an acceptable experience to the traders their greed motivates them to allow further overloading of the system.

GLD is blatantly the biggest scam ever. Seriously watch all the youtube vids from that assclown microguy, if everything about him doesn't scream untrustworthy scam artist at you then you're clearly not a very good judge of character.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't worth it for consumers. And that will stop adoption. on: November 26, 2013, 07:43:15 AM
No one in their right mind is going to use BTC as a currency as long as they expect the value to keep rising. Why spend something now that might be worth 100x as much next year...
You know your cash will be worth less this time next year, thats the incentive to spend it.

The way I see it, its a good idea to stack some of as many alt coins as possible early on when it's easy to mine.  As long as you get in early it takes you no time at all. Then you just sit on them, if they go nowhere (as I'm sure most will) then its no great loss, however if they explode...

I remember back in the day when BTC was around 12USD, I thought Litecoin would prob amount to nothing, but that seems to be coming along nicely now. In cryptocurrency more than anything else, we just can't tell what the future will bring. I plan to cover as many of the bases as possible Smiley
