1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 21, 2015, 11:56:49 AM
I did read the white paper - it is so much better than Satoshi's white paper on bitcoin. So, if bitcoin made it, Synereo can make it too.

I will also invest - something I can afford to lose - not so much for personal gain as for promoting the idea. If not the team behind Synereo, someone else will sooner or later do it. The effort of those guys does bring the idea closer to completion, one way or another.

And I will invest in any serious attempt at destroying the current model.

Hi,

Why don't you use nonce and not the current time as the dynamic variable in your calculations?

After I supply my part of the seed, you start with nonce=1 and then each draw of mine will use nonce=nonce+1 - the same way it is done by the bitcoin blockchain while trying to "mine" a new block.

Thanks

I did a bit but after contemplating I do not think it is 100% provably fair.
I have no control of the exact time I am sending to you to create the hash.
You can also try 4-5 hundreds of the second around the time I sent you and to pick a losing hash for me.

Do I miss anything? I guess I need to change my secret before every roll in order for it to be truly provably fair, right? And you not use the time, too.

7  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Български (Bulgarian) on: September 10, 2014, 12:39:24 PM

Smiley

9  Economy / Gambling / Re: XBet.IO– the world's first distributed betting application on: June 11, 2014, 07:56:33 AM
What I cannot grasp yet is how XBet.IO takes the 1% cut? If they never have access to your "bet". how does the CounterParty network know that it should send 1% of the profit to XBet.IO's address?
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: XBet.IO– the world's first distributed betting application on: June 10, 2014, 06:30:06 PM
well how could the feed be "decentralised"
people bet on the basis of someone's feed..

more problematic is the settlement feed - in this case the scores of the matches...
one innovation in this respect is the project RealityKeys...

12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Clients/wallets for testnet on: April 14, 2014, 11:36:49 AM
Hi,

Is bitcoin-qt the only client being able to work on testnet too?
Do you know of other clients/wallets that can be connected to the testnet?

Thanks

Sad

15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Does anyone want to sell their project? on: February 20, 2014, 04:22:50 PM
It's illegal to gamble Bitcoin in the US.

it surely is... but, unlike fiat gambling where banks are prohibited to process transfers to gambling sites, it is virtually impossible to stop Americans gambling with bitcoins... cause it is impossible to track the payments...

16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Does anyone want to sell their project? on: February 20, 2014, 04:00:26 PM
Not into the gambling sportbooking sites. I am an American so yeah.

gambling sportbooking sites are best suited for American market considering fiat online gambling is almost banned. Look at most bitcoin sport betting portals and you see that American sports like baseball and football are the most advertised... unlike all normal bookies where soccer/tennis is the focus... as if it makes you wonder why Smiley

but your objection still valid Smiley

Hi

You can look into this product: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464949.0

It is fully functional and requires zero staff (but obviously a full graphical redesign Smiley).

If you are interested, please PM me for further details.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: PeerSports.org: Live sports-betting site off the blockchain on: February 14, 2014, 04:32:29 PM
So, basically you're offering blind betting, where you decide how much you want to bet, but don't get to know the odds until after the bet is placed? I have to admit it's innovative...

Of course not - you are seeing the odds live. You send the bet and within 6-8 seconds your bet gets filled at the market price, which sometimes may deviate insignificantly from the price you saw - positively or negatively.

If we cannot lock the price you saw when you sent the bet, your bet will be returned - happens if a goal is scored or a red card given, as is usual with all live betting sites.

90% of the times we lock the price we show you. The other 10% it may deviate - especially if you bet around the end of the game when odds move wildly.
19  Economy / Gambling / PeerSports.org: Live sports-betting site off the blockchain on: February 14, 2014, 10:25:26 AM
PeerSports.org is not just another bitcoin sports-betting site - it is a proof of concept about the innovation to the online betting industry brought about by bitcoin.

PeerSports.org at a glance:
  • Minimal risk: only your bet leaves your wallet;
  • 100% Secure: wallet and web servers fully disconnected;
  • Fully anonymous: you do not even need an email to place bets;
  • No moral hazard: all bets fully hedged so that we never take a position against you;
  • Transparent: you can follow all bets being made on our site as well as their payouts;
  • All wallets supported: use your favourite bitcoin wallet, as long as it is not shared;
  • Simple interface: the way the bitcoiners like it;

In short, we capitalise on bitcoin to offer you the same service you get from offline bookmaker shops - but now on the internet!

Unlike other online bookmakers using bitcoin, with us you do not need to pre-fund your account by sending bitcoins and then having to wait for an hour or more... With PeerSports.org you can bet straight away the moment you feel like it. Similarly, you do not need to request a pay out of your winnings - they get paid automatically to the bitcoin address the bet was sent from.

And again, our wallets (read your bets) are safe - being able to use the blockchain as our database, our wallet operates on a different (hidden) machine than our web server.

You can read more about the service in our F.A.Q. section.

We appreciate any suggestions/questions/ideas/warnings you might have.
