Lost a lot of money in trading and lost faith in my ability to trade...now wanted to participate in ICOs...what are the good ones? Missed out on the ONT project, trying to find the next ONT!

why most people do not like trx? if trx is really that bad, why would it jump from an unknown coin to almost top 10 overnight? Why people like it and why people would not like it?

what are good sources to vet an ICO before funding? is there centralized reputable website/database for ICOs?

I wonder if the OP ended up buying that btc and just hold it til now...

most of the icos would not allow the major financial hubs to participate - countries such as china/usa/korea are always excluded and banned; so projects are more likely to fail without financial backers of these regions

how do you tell a good project from a bad one? and are there still good deals where you get a lot of coins just by signing up a newsletter?

There are so many ICOs and projects - but what are the high-quality good ones? The rating websites are they truly independent and accurate?
Can someone recommend good projects on NEO or eth?
Also, when will we have direct fiat trading pairs for alts? Any good exchange offer fiat pairs for alts?

I got in at the all time high in Jan. lost half on most coins, and panic sold 2 weeks ago with portfolio underwater 40-50%; now all coins are coming back at least 20-30%;
What's done is done, can't go back time to change it...my question is what to do now? Even after the loss, still have some coins left and wondering what to do with them...
Just hold it and do nothing is not an option because cost basis is too high. Need to find the next ONT etc - Willing to consider anything including ICOs (either NEO-based ICOs or ether-based ICOs).

For GDAX, it says 1099 reporting triggered by 200 transactions - how would gdax define "transactions"? Obviously if you sell crypto for fiat, that count as 1 tx, but what if you transfer the cryptos out of gdax, would that also count as one tx?
What about the recently launched circle crypto? what's their reporting requirement?

Got in at the height of Jan this year and all holdings lost more than half from the previous peak.
Very frustrated and was afraid that crypto will be zeroed out, so sold at massive loss more than 50%+ realized loss
After sold last week, all coins came back up 10-20%, even more frustrated, what to do?

you can do it if in a bull market, do you have trading experience? how much capital do you have?
|
|
|
how did you get 69eth? what's your cost basis in USD?
|
|
|
But how do you filter the good projects, such as ONT? You have a valid point of wasting time but how would you make sure that you would not miss out good-quality projects?

What's the best way to diversify starting with $500. I am overwhelmed right now with all the coins i am interested in. I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls??? Idk man, i'm trying my hardest to figure this out. lol thank you for any help.
I think you need to search altcoin that have low price offer so you can invest your $500. Just do research before you invest if the project is good or have a potential to grow in the future so you will get good profit. Yes, low value altcoins will help maximize return on investment. The altcoin value of less than $ 1 is my first choice when investing, these altcoin should be selected in the top 20 on the coinmarketcap. Remember to invest in good knowledge before deciding to invest more in this market. Agreed, low value ones can maximize potential return...there're som any good options, NEO, ETH, LTC, or TRX, etc
