I sent you a pm sir! =P
2  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS: I need to sell some bitcoin for paypal on: July 11, 2014, 07:57:07 PM
Also I will need to verify your reputation:

ebay id with feedback
verified paypal account
web of trust rating
successful trades with forum members in the past

Via as many of these verifications as you can meet, since I am assuming all the risk.

Also the bitcoins will have to be shipped via paper wallet in the mail.  Delivery confirmation and signature required.  Your address must be confirmed.

Also will have to wait 180 days to prevent chargebacks, or be a hero member with tremendous reputation here.
3  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS: I need to sell some bitcoin for paypal on: July 11, 2014, 06:11:05 PM
Current value is hovering around $630.  I will sell at rate of $600 per btc, but bear in mind it will be partial since I only want to sell $300 worth.  So it will be .5btc for $300 via paypal.
4  Economy / Currency exchange / WTS: I need to sell some bitcoin for paypal on: July 11, 2014, 06:09:24 PM
I want to buy something with my bitcoins but the guy I am buying from (he's a custom manufacturer) does not take bitcoin.  I am willing to sell $300 worth of bitcoin at a discounted rate via paypal in order to get the money quick.  If you are interested and wish to do smaller increments first to build trust we can do that.  I just want to trade some btc for paypal money.  Reply to this thread, if interested, I will pm you my paypal address since I don't want to list it here and get banned by paypal(they hate bitcoin).  You should send the money as a gift to avoid fees or send it normally and pay the 4% on your end.  Do not mention bitcoin in the transaction.  I will send the funds via blockchain wallet app, funds are currently in cold storage but will be imported for this transaction.  After the transaction has been completed successfully please reply to this thread that it went well to build my reputation so that I can sell again in the future If I need to.

Thank You
Ike

A search on google for "Michael Jackson bitcoin" reveals that this man is advocating everything that will destroy bitcoin.  He advocates: coin taint, bitcoin central bank that issues bitcoin at will, the removal of anonymity, control turned over to the state, etc.  I heard about him from his article on coindesk today.  WHY is coinndesk publishing so mcuch crap that is antithetical to bitcoins principles lately?  This guy says on his site that: "Spare time for me is about debating with people who challenge me intellectually.", let's challenge him.

Told you so, all this GOX fiasco was just a reason that they "have" to control and "Centralize" Bitcoin Protocol
It's just a matter of time until the force bitcoin to implement a blackmailing feature so no criminal can steal coins anymore.

these types of people want "daddy state" to hold their hand and steal from everybody else to make it better.  Its time to grow up, especially when it comes to gox.  You are responsible for yourself in a free market.  There were countless examples of incompetence before the final collapse.  I feel sorry for people, but given the ability to cold store securely, keeping your bitcoins on any exchange especially magic the gathering online exchange for christs sake, you should have known better.  Im no expert and am playing with a small stack, but I was able to secure my coins offline.

Anyway, Michael Jackson = either complete idiot with regard to bitcoin and what gives it value or knows full well what hes doing and intends to benefit from it or destroy bitcoin.  There are only two possibilities.

Just wish him luck with the new altcoin he'll be creating and move on.

I get your drift, but it seems to me like coindesk used to be good for bitcoin news but now they are publishing trash.  What happened?

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dot-Bit (Namecoin domains) on ANY Browser: MeowBit for Windows on: March 07, 2014, 01:04:05 PM
Awesome! Can't wait to install this.  Every bitcoin user with a website should mirror on .bit, if you speak out against the state and think the state won't crack down on you some day you are being naive.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC/LTC etc hacker works for Government? on: March 06, 2014, 07:11:33 PM
I think it is obvious the state is attacking bitcoin on all fronts.  A coordinated barrage from media and "hackers", a perfect storm so to speak.  In my opinion their main objective is to obtain significant BTC holdings so as to exert control-seeing as much control was denied them by the protocol.  This is why we see them holding the for coins and going after exchanges.  If you value bitcoin, keep your coins off exchanges-deny the opportunity.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Pay for private security on: March 06, 2014, 06:32:37 PM
Satoshi has given us so much,  if this is truly him the least we can do for him is ensure his physical safety.  We could contribute small amounts en masse to pay for private security for his residence if he would allow it.  This reporter has given criminals a huge target.

13  Economy / Economics / Re: Blatant Price Manipulation on: March 04, 2014, 08:19:01 PM
Could you explain more how the fake buy walls work?  In response to the poster above, bitcoin should remain unregulated.  That discussion is settled imo with common sense.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Blatant Price Manipulation on: March 04, 2014, 08:10:48 PM
Yea of course, i have no problem with that.  I'm a voluntaryist, it's just that i want to hear what people think about it.
15  Economy / Economics / Blatant Price Manipulation on: March 04, 2014, 07:34:14 PM
Hey everybody.  We would all like to think the price is up because new people are getting into bitcoin and fiat inflows are expanding as people can now see that the demise of gox did not kill bitcoin.  However, when you go to blockchain.info and click on the largest transactions, you see that on 3/3 and 3/4 MASSIVE trading is going on.  The bitcoin trading market is around $60 million, so when big players trade millions in bitcoin back and forth they are increasing the value of their own bitcoins and the value of ours as well.  Might seem like a good thing, but makes me feel uneasy because it makes you wonder how much of the value is actually due to these big players and not average people.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Democratic and Public Exchange - a call for action on: February 28, 2014, 10:08:13 PM
Thank you for the responses.
No disrespect, I wish to hear from other laypersons who wish to take action together, and to further think in a think-tank form about the best ways, the problems, difficulties, and strategies of developing a democratic and public exchange.
(people who believe in people).

I believe in people and people interactions, as long as they are voluntary and not forced by a gun.  What do you mean by "lay" person?

If you have the time to reread my post, you will see that I didn't offer anything else but a voluntary cooperation of people.
I sympathize with your commitment to promote freedom. And I understand your objection to state tyranny.
I fail to understand why would you then object to the idea that people (like you and me) will join together and create a reliable exchange, that will work for us? At the moment the exchanges work for their owners, who can (see MtGox) disappear with your money, who work against the interest of their clients.
Perhaps you care to explain how does it interfere with your freedom? I would think that such cooperation increases your freedom, as it liberates you from greedy cooperation whose interests are not the same as their clients (you and me).

By public i thought you meant state operated.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Democratic and Public Exchange - a call for action on: February 28, 2014, 07:08:58 PM
There is no such thing as public property, it is a fiction created by government.  Go try to plant a garden on "public" property or use a government car without permission-after all its "public" property right so you have a right to use it don't you?  There is no such thing as public property, the government is a private criminal gang that extracts funds at gunpoint from it's victims and monopolizes certain essential services to give the impression that is is essential for the continuance of society when in fact everything it does could be provided better and voluntarily by the market.

The public would not own a "public" exchange, the state and members of it's criminal gang would.  The exchange would never be run successfully since it is not responsive to market forces, only in a market where a business lives or dies by getting money voluntarily from its customers can a business know whether what it is doing is what customers want and is providing value.  In a state system where the money for the service is stolen at gunpoint, there is no way to know whether the service provided is working or is something people want since people cannot withdrawal their funding support.

Democracy is a tyranny, it is 51% violently forcing their will on 49%.  That is not persuasion, that is not negotiation so that both parties feel served, that is violence.  Democracy is evil.

The nature of bitcoin is to be decentralized.  What you should advocate for is a decentralized exchange that avoids the problems we saw in gox because its decentralized.  The challenge is to determine how to get fiat into the exchange quickly and digitally without using the traditional system.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobody has the authority to regulate Bitcoin on: February 28, 2014, 12:50:22 PM
Nobody has the authority to:

steal your money at gunpoint to fund their arbitrary whims
force you into their contract before you are able to consent
force their will upon you up to the point of death/beating/caging for non-crimes
claim ownership of your body and your possessions

But they do it anyway.  To think they wouldn't claim ownership of bitcoin is absurd given the lines they have already crossed.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Step by step cold storage that complete noobs can do on: February 27, 2014, 11:54:43 PM
Its a bit long winded but thats because i approached it from the perspective of someone who knows nothing about bitcoin.  If you do not already have your coins in cold storage, please do so.  Only leave in online wallets what you need to transact for the day with.  It looks complicated, but after you do it once, you can do it no problem.  Print off lots of paper wallets at a time so you don't have to do it again for a long time.  Be safe out there!
