Anywhere else? My coin tracking program tells me DVC is worth like 0.6 cents so I'm wondering where in the world that valuation comes from. No one on Frei exchange has bought DVC at 1 satoshi since June. It's only "worth" 1 sat on Frei exchange because that exchange won't let you go lower than 1 sat. But if I were to put some DVC for sale at that price it would probably take several years for it to actually sell. So I'm a little confused right now... I have another question. I notice DVC is no longer listed on coinmarketcap.com I'm wondering if there is another ranking service that lists it. I'd also like to know where DVC is actively traded.

That exchange just might end up being in the top 5 with the treasures it’s holding which few see. Frei have announced that they are going to delist non active coins soon. Devcoin will probably survive due to its "historical significance", but who knows. |

The fork was a reverse split with lower emission. There hasn't been any exploit.
And there is nothing wrong the the current distribution. With minimal trading and just a few people still minting it's obvious that the coin supply get more concentrated as time passes. If someone wanted to buy 10% of the network it wouldn't cost much.
Thanks, didn't know it was a reverse split. Seems though that there should be a lower number of cap and a higher number of the new symbol, so did they switch tickers or I'm missing something obvious? Disagree about the distribution though. Coin supply being 'more concentrated' is too much of an understatement. Either way, I honestly would be careful until there were cryptoids for both chains and a person can check things themself. Bottlecaps was a decent coin at one point, a lot of people involved and an easy way for somebody to learn the basics. Right now it is a monopoly coin with too many coins held by too few people. It's nice to buy up most of a coin in altwinter and then just wait for people to pile in and buy up a person's bags, but there really doesn't seem to be a lot offered by cap unless something is done to make it useful, give it a new function in the crypto world. The new fork was traded as caps on livecoin before they shut down. Its not traded anywhere now afaik. I agree that bottlecaps was a decent coin, but that was years ago. What makes a coin good is its community imho. If 1000 new people wanted to own cap the distribution would be better. But there probably isn't 1000 new people in the world who would even want to download and sync a QT wallet today. New people buy bsc tokens and other shitcoins they can store in multiicoin wallets on their phones. The era of legacy coins like bottlecaps is past. |

That's a generous offer, but the coins are so heavily concentrated in so few wallets, 87% of the coins in 50 wallets. that it's basically a premined coin held by a few people at this point, there isn't reason for new people to get involved unless the coin changes dramatically in a way that a) fixes distribution and b) provides some usefulness. Distribution could be slightly fixed by changing emission so that the current coin supply becomes a small part of the coin supply. If a billion coins were emitted per week then it would be a little viable. There are about 1 billion CAP now http://cap.altcoinwarz.com/ but only 62 million of the version that was forked https://chainz.cryptoid.info/caps/ So that would have to be explained too. A lot of smaller coins were 51% attacked in alt winter and if somebody took advantage of the slow season to mint hundreds of millions of coins under the table when it was easy to do that then it has to be identified and fixed. A cryptoid explorer would help identify where those coins came from. I have probably less than $1 or so of CAP at this point so, not going to spring for a cryptoid which costs about usd $85. Regarding b) usefulness. There was a time when any useless coin could be pumped easily, but now you need a crooked celebrity like Elon Musk to herd retards for a pump. They won't jump into worthless coins unless there is a smiling celebrity with big tits or a con man who has a billion dollars. In order to make the coin useful you have to come up with something new, or which at least appears new, and useful, but if you can think of a new and useful idea you might as well start a new coin and milk it til the big crash, like Vitalik. Player-selects-fee is now live in the SwC poker clients. Players can now select between 6, 25, and 50 block targets when initiating a withdrawal. A fee estimation is shown at time of withdrawal request, although actual fee may be different at time of processing. Feedback on this new feature is appreciated.
You should have 1 block target as well. The difference in cost for 1 block/6 block target is negligible. Not worth the wait. Is there really anyone who would want to use 25/50 block target? Not your keys, not your coins. |

I have some friends programmers, maybe they could try it. Hope in some new Fallout will be possible to transfer coins to game, it would help to popularity.
I have a balance but I stopped staking a few months ago as was having problems with the wallet. I would like to get the wallet back up and staking. It is only on one exchange with a BTC market and should be on one with others, like a DOGE market or sub 1 sat for now. The wallet runs smooth, but it gets slow if you have a thousands of inputs. When that happens you just have to move your coins to a new wallet.dat to start fresh. |

End the stellar token bullshit and make devcoin great again! Devcoin is one of iconic OG coins and it deserves better. Devcoin had a vision and utility few other projects can match even 10 years later. All things have to end, but I would rather see devcoin completely dead then whats going on today. |

Its actually sad that Namecoin isn't listed on any tier 1 exchanges now. Almost 10 years old. Merged mined with bitcoin. Actively developed.
Namecoin will be around 10 years from now as well. Most other coins and projects won't. Lindy.

Did you add nodes to your config? Of all the shitcoin wallets i got dvc is probably the one syncing fastest. edit: checked my wallet. dont even have any nodes added myself. Is there a bootstrap somewhere or could someone make one? |

It's been 9 years to the day since Block 0. It's hardly a dead shitcoin. Maybe just undervalued abstract coin. Agree. But if they list dead shitcoins they should definitely list devcoin.  Don't you want to buy some more cheap coins in a ltc/dvc market? (Someone who got all the info they need have to fill out the application.) |

Its much better to get listed on a small exchange with zero volume, then on a scammy exchange with fake volume and 2 btc listing fee.
If possible to relist on altilly as fuzzybear mentions, that would be a good option. And there are a lot of small exchanges that would be very reasonable.

But it was delisted from altilly with the reason that there was little to no trade volume...
Was that really the case? The ltc/dvc pair were pretty active compared to most coins listed on altilly. I am pretty sure devcoin had more volume then most of their coins when it got delisted without warnings. Just look at the exchange now. 23 of 29 ltc pairs have 0 trades last 24h. 94 of the btc pairs have 0 trades last 24h. |

I was planning buy some caps, but now I see all nodes are probably off, any informations?
Is it possible for anyone to setup a new node? I could ask my friend, he has access to one small ISP data center and have one linux machine there.
You just have to add more nodes to your config. There is no issues syncing the wallet. There have been listed nodes in this thread multiple times before. |
