1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blockfolio confusion - any ideas? on: January 15, 2018, 07:54:09 PM
Does anyone have a clue how to keep blockfolio accurate?  I cannot wrap my head around how to keep it accurate with buys, transfers, sells etc...

It was easy and fine when I just bought and was holding say BTC, ETH, AND LTC... but with transfers and alt coin buying it is nowhere near accurate...

here are two scenarios... does anyone know how to keep blockfolio accurate with these scenarios?

1. For example, let say I entered 1 BTC into blockfolio.  I then transferred .5 BTC and bough some cardano with that. My blockfolio account still shows I have 1 BTC, when in reality I only now have .5 BTC because I transferred the .5 BTC and bought cardano..... how do I keep my account accurate?

2.  Lets say I have made multiple purchases of BTC at different prices... lets say I bought .25 BTC at $12k, I bought .25 BTC at $13.5k, i bought .25 BTC at $15k, and I bought .25 BTC at $16.5k.  I entered all of these into blockfolio, so I have 4 separate transactions under the holdings tabs for BTC.

Then one day I transfer .5 BTC and buy ripple, so now I have a total of .5 BTC. How do I make this adjustment in blockfolio to ensure accuracy? Do I do a sell for BTC? If yes, how do I know which of the 4 transactions/price points to do the sell from?

any idea how to keep it accurate and up to date?  any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
