6  Other / Beginners & Help / Mt.Gox Google OTP Issues "saving" the method on: November 26, 2013, 12:24:15 AM
Hey everyone, this is my first post and unfortunately it's because I've been having an issue with Mt. Gox and adding the Google OTP security method. Here's the problem:

Each time I attempt to "save" the method after having scanned my QR code and entered the Google Authenticator code, I'm constantly met with an irritating message stating "No known OTP device with this serial" each and every time. I have tried re-scanning, using a different phone, and trying to google the problem for an hour or so but have yet to come across anything similar. I have contacted the Mt. Gox support team, though I want to see if anyone else has encountered this problem, or if any of you have any suggestions. Is this a problem with Mt. Gox? Or is it one of Google's? Please help, the last thing I need are my funds wiped clean.

On another note, I find it quite frustrating that I can't even withdraw my funds since my account has yet to be verified after 4 business days. I know they said five, and I could bear one more day, though now they updated their message doubling the time it'll take to verify an account to 10 days. Frustrating.

Thanks in advance!
