Having trouble setting up optiminer. Does it not recognize gtx 1050s? When I run ./optiminer-equihash --list-devices it displays all 8 of my 1050s. But when I try to connect to nicehash and mine it cant find any devices.

My experience:
Ordered 3 motherboards, 3 ram, and 3 server PSUs. Motherboards and ram were flawless. Installation was insanely easy. Literal plug and play save for a few bios modifications.
However - server PSUs have been nothing short of a nightmare. First PSU flashed a bright white on startup and didn't turn on again. Second PSU worked and I managed to mine equihash on HiveOS. But then I heard a loud SNAP, and found the PSU dead smelling of burnt plastic and hot to the touch. Tried the third PSU after, but it never even turned on. There is nothing abnormal about my house and I already had two rigs going.
Customer support has been nothing short of outstanding though and I have heard nothing but good things about Octominer. I think they just have a bad batch of Server PSUs that are either manufactured cheaply or have poor quality control. That would explain how their price is so low. Will be looking to get a refund for all of mine.

Hello! I used the supplied program to flash the OS to a usb, then plugged it into my octominer (which has 8 gpus in it). In bios, I disabled intergrated graphics and set it to pcie graphics. It boots and octominer appears to access the usb, but then after a few minutes nothing happens. I get no visual output.
did you see the boot (splash) screen with mountains etc.. ? try to enter CTRL + ALT + F1 and type mrecovery if you experience problems. Thanks for fast response! Heres video showcasing more. No mountains or anything https://vimeo.com/257279044did you tried to plug in to the second GPU "the first x16 slot" mostly counted from the CPU. (octominer only has x16 slot) try to plug to the second. there is some boot menu where you can select the USB to boot? is UEFI enabled on motherboard? Need to show the grub menu its just seems no system installed. Fixed it- problem was I was using wifi instead of ethernet. Now it boots up and gets pretty far - it launches the background hardware service and starts displaying mining rig stats. But I get an error on repeat saying "minerstat.com package error"

Okay - started to install hiveOS. Next startup, my Octominer Server PSU flashes bright light then instantly shuts off. Now it doesn't work... Not sure if the GPUs are busted too
Please contact us through "Live Chat" on the website and we will troubleshoot the issue and provide a solution. Will do! Appreciate the fast responses and these things happen.

Will do - thanks! Down that path, any recommendations for the best OS? I'm reading about hiveos, simpleos, and ethos.

Having some trouble. Windows 10 64 bit, octominer with 8gb ram. 8x GTX 1050 cards. Set my pagefile to 64 gb.
In device manager all 8 GTX cards are listed with Code 12 - not enough resource errors. I have reinstalling drivers and all that stuff.
Any ideas?
Did you connect all 5 power cables to the motherboard? Yeah, here's a pic And one of the OS. I tried disabling all but one GTX 1050 and still have problems.

SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION
Here are the steps I took to get 6 gpus instantly working
1. Dont use onboard graphics, use primary graphics card 2. Enable 4G decoding 3. Perform clean install of latest nvidia drivers and reboot
Now WAIT AFTER IT RESTARTS. Hit control+shift+esc to bring up processes. Notice that Nvidia install manager starts running. It ran a total for 6 times for me, presumably for each card. This takes a while (took 10 mins on mine). It will run in a loop between Nvidia stuff and windows installing.
Then your cards will show up.
If it works would mighty appreciate some coins!

What is them most optimized, efficient, reliable setup with Nvidia 10** series cards?
Right now I'm running windows 10, overclock settings -20% power draw, +100 mhz core and +400 mhz memory on my 1070tis
I use awesomeminer where I replaced default neoscrypt miner with hsrminer Then I mine nichhash
I get a decent 1300 kH/s per card this way
Any ideas on how to improve it? Operating systems, overclock settings, tweaks, specified miners, etc
