1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I told my grandma to put all her lifesavings in Bitcoin because you guys said on: February 21, 2018, 10:37:10 AM
it will only go up. She bought at $4200 Sad
How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards?
Now the prices are almost triple of that. She must be a happy woman currently if she held those bitcoins.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: February 21, 2018, 10:26:03 AM
I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

The people who are against bitcoins are those who are not ready to understand the concept. Once a person starts researching about bitcoins, he will fall in love with it.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: February 21, 2018, 10:23:30 AM
Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.

I will not be surprised if criminals use bitcoins. But that happens will all payment systems even cash.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: February 21, 2018, 10:18:38 AM
The journey of bitcoin from 2009 to 2017 is very interesting. Although the stories of individuals(investors) are very interesting and motivational that how they initiated and what problems they faced at earlier stages.

In 2017 the number of businesses accepting bitcoin continues to increase. Where you see the bitcoin in 2018?
I see huge growth in number of people using bitcoins. Also, it will touch $40000 by the end of this year as well.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm gonna sell my house on: February 21, 2018, 10:14:47 AM
I am sure we touched the bottom today. so i am going to real Estate Dealer for selling my house and buy bitcoin. I suggest you all do that
It is good option if you have more than one house. I suggested my father to sell one of his properties for bitcoin investment but he did not agree.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 countries that banned bitcoin on: February 21, 2018, 10:10:45 AM
In addition to the countries you added, some members are also posting here that India has banned bitcoins. As per my knowledge that is not true and Indian media did false reporting about that.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fees are a tax on BTC on: February 21, 2018, 10:04:38 AM
Taxes, like death, are inevitable.  When they go up, people complain.  Txn fees are a form of tax on BTC that goes to the miners.  No-one wants to pay them but they have to.

I do not have much problem with transaction fees as they go to miners. But the issue of slow transactions is a headache for me.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 ways to earn on Bitcoin in 2018 year on: February 21, 2018, 10:02:30 AM
10. Participate on campaign to earn bitcoin.

I will prefer this method, it requires no investment. You just have to be knowledgeable and make quality posts here.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term vs. short term investing on: February 21, 2018, 09:59:04 AM
Hello my dear Bitcoin brothers.

I would like to ask you about your experience with day/swing trading vs. long term investing and also,
what was more profitable for you and what are pros and cons for both ways of trading?

This question interests me since market is very volatile and it can get quite easy to exploit daily range for a quick small profit.

Thank you fellas.

These days I am doing short term investing. I am able to get decent 10% returns in a week or so.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Unknown Individual Bought 96,000 Bitcoins When Price Was Slump on: February 21, 2018, 09:57:18 AM
The unknown individual brought bitcoin which was worth more than one billion, i.e., 96000 bitcoins during the recent crash.
Know More: https://coinpedia.org/news/unknown-bitcoins-when-price-down/

That is huge, he must be a rich guy. He will make double or triple in next 6 months.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scalling Bitcoin through increase in block size on: February 21, 2018, 09:49:03 AM
I see more and more comments about community losing patience with Bitcoin developments. One result of it was the creation of Bitcoin Cash which increased the block size of Bitcoin but it seems it is not enough. I wonder why they did not created from the beginning a block size of 100MB, 200 or maybe 300MB? Why limit themselves to 8MB? By having bigger block size wouldn't they fix the issues of speed and scalability...
I learned recently (here on a different post answered) that are concerns of decentralization as a result of larger block. What if somebody could solve the concerns of decentralization in a larger block? How valuable this will be?

I think we will see more of splitting of bitcoins like bitcoin cash. This is good for investors in long run as well.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Chances of signature campigns being removed from this forum on: February 15, 2018, 06:41:33 AM
If signature campaigns have been running for years and are still running, it clearly shows that these signature campaigns are profitable for marketers to run and they do get clicks. Posts on this forum can be found on Google, and with some people having thousands and thousands of posts, it's very likely even someone browsing Google for information that somehow lands on Bitcointalk will click on a signature after getting the information they need, as one change in avatar and signature means the signature and avatar is changed on all of your posts.

They can recover the advertising costs with just few high playing costs. Especially the gambling relates websites can get monthly paying customers here. This forum is related to crypto which is emerging and this is the only reason we have such an earning opportunity for members here.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 15, 2018, 06:25:59 AM
For all of the people who whines here about merit system, please take a loot at my statistic thread that i have made about QuestionAuthority's merit activity since he is a top 1 merit giver now. You can find it at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2947171.msg30272338#msg30272338
You can read it  and hope you guys can be more positive about this merit after that.

I appreciate the effort you made there. I think there is no point in arguing with the complainers, they will ultimately get the point. I will not be surprised if most of them leave.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: January 24, 2018, 01:16:58 PM
You should give login details to a family member as well in case something bad happens to you.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin have risen a little slowly? on: January 24, 2018, 01:10:04 PM
The fast rise in the price is the only cause of attention and hype it has got. If the price increased slowly, no one would have noticed it.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 24, 2018, 12:56:24 PM
I have not heard any country giving jail for Bitcoin but it may happen in future for sure.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling as investment? on: January 24, 2018, 12:48:59 PM
Do not take risk with so much money. Better invest the profit in  a solid business.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy KFC chicken by Bitcoin on: January 24, 2018, 12:26:03 PM
I think as the acceptance of Bitcoins keeps on increasing, we will only see the increase in price.
