1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When to buy ?... on: August 09, 2018, 11:51:46 PM
You can buy BTC at any point in the market, bear or bull. Your ultimate goal about how you'd use your BTC supersedes the entry point(time you bought BTC). Someone may buy BTC when it sells at 15K or more and trade it regularly to make more profit. Another person could buy BTC at 6K and wait for an increase in price to sell his BTC. The profit depends largely on how people invest their BTC.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Highs and Lows Predictable? on: August 09, 2018, 11:43:57 PM
Bitcoin prices are predictable in a stable market to some extent. But in a volatile market predictions usually don't work. You could see that there haven't been extremely bad news  but the market was still in red. There are other factors that affect the market that are not easily predictable. The only prediction I believe in is that bitcoin always has the tendency to rise after each bear market.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at 4500$-5000$ August-September 2018 !!! on: August 08, 2018, 11:57:49 PM
Everything is possible. But I just hope that the prices take a turn around to even higher heights no one has ever predicted(Not necessarily a record breaking price). There are too may predictions that seem to scare some people off. Bitcoin will always increase after dip. Just know when to buy.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman gets paid to trash Bitcoin on: August 08, 2018, 11:48:37 PM
Extremely corrupt leaders and head of government business may fret because of the power of blockchain. bitcoin is here to stay and make all transactions as transparent as possible through the decentralization of the various nodes involved in bitcoins blockchain. There is no stopping bitcoin now.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you learn from crypto market on: August 07, 2018, 11:59:44 PM
I learn to be careful with pump coins. You have to buy coins/tokens that have some good project or product to sell to ordinary people or investors with interest in their field of work. Some tokens/coins are purely sold through so called crypto influencers' remarks and sometimes they get dumped afterwards.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the society rejected to use crypto currencies? on: August 05, 2018, 07:29:51 PM
Greater part of the total populace are not utilizing digital currencies(crypto) now; it doesn't make those of us included lose our ventures. The entire world won't join crypto yet there will dependably be individuals who will contribute or exchange utilizing digital currencies. The world is ending up more innovatively modern but then it is getting to be less demanding to do numerous things without a lot of pressure.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Again, Bitcoin described as a Bubble. on: August 05, 2018, 07:12:54 PM
Sometimes these professors find it difficult to understand how the world is evolving differently from their young days. The blockchain and other technologies like AI are leading the way to the future where archaic economics principles may not work.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency could benefit the world's economic welfare? on: August 05, 2018, 07:05:12 PM
There are some countries with pretty bad economic welfare but a good number of their population may never get access to the internet or cryptocurrencies or even understand the whole idea of cryptocurrencies. How will these countries benefit specifically from cryptos?
9  Economy / Economics / Re: 9/11 terrorist attacks and money wasted on movies on: August 04, 2018, 11:58:34 PM
Wars and terrorist attacks jeaopardise some countries to alomost irreparable state. The tragic consequences on innocent bystanders, the collateral damages and other things that happen is war times are regrettable. If more money if channeled towards education instead of attacks and wars, economies will be better.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What problem should a crypto will solve in the future? on: August 04, 2018, 10:59:17 PM
Basically crypto is all about transparency and security. The loopholes in the traditional banking system is currently being fixed daily. You don't have to queue or travel to do any transaction. All you have to do is to get a specific wallet address and so every transaction from the comfort of your home with extremely minimal charges and some  great speed of transaction.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Has the bitcointalk been lost? on: August 04, 2018, 10:52:33 PM
The forum is mostly about discussions on bitcoin. But it's quite liberal here. Depending on what you want to read or contribute, you consciously or inadvertently get stuck to a/some particular section(s). There is everything about the world being discussed in one section or the other.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is crashing due to the falling price? on: August 04, 2018, 10:37:58 PM
Aside the above reasons, bitcoin has a market cap of some 120 billion equivalence in usd. There are certainly other big players involved in bitcoin. The computational power and reliability has given rich people reasons to believe in bitcoin. Bitcoin has certainly come to stay. People should realize by now that dips are normal. 7K isn't bad. But bitcoin will surely rise far more than its price now.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 15000 in this year. on: August 04, 2018, 12:00:25 AM
Everyone seems to be telling their expected price. It's quite good to be optimistic but to think of ETH hitting 15K this year is overly ambitious. There has been too many government eye in crypto this year. A steady rise is quite preferable right now.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you use diversification? on: August 03, 2018, 11:57:44 PM
I use diversification because I believe no one crypto has the ability to increase all year round. While one goes up the other could go down. Projects also differ and a breakthrough in one project could be key to becoming successful in crypto.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The pump and dump tactic on: August 02, 2018, 11:58:20 PM
It is best to buy the dips or buy when prices remain stable for sometime after careful monitoring. People who fall prey to pumps and dumps only buy when the coin has reason significantly. I'm just wondering how the whales will be able to act in unison. There are other factors that lead to pumps and dumps apart from whales. For example some project teams create false news to get people excited.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: To be or not to be. What to invest in? on: August 02, 2018, 11:52:13 PM
Even today the best options are still the big coins. Those big guns are here to stay and they will not go away anytime soon so we will have to check them out at first. No other investment options are not returning back as how crypto currencies are doing. If you calculate from bitcoins down in the beginning of 2015 to ending of 2017, I am sure no other options will match that ROI.

Coins like bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, dash, ripple and coins that big, if you invest in stuff like that you may have some big swings because they do get affected a lot and prices drop or goes up really quickly and swings are high however they are the ones that will eventually go up as well, price will recover for these coins and they will increase in the long term investors so if you really want to invest in something, invest on the top coins.
The big coins will keep being top coin because they got the concept of blockchain earlier. It's not easy to beat the original idea to the top. People get used to the first things they use especially if it provides them all they need. Bitcoin provides its users with excellent services likewise some of the earlier altcoins. Most of the new coins are just trying to rebrand what we have already and they fail, mostly because they lack ingenuity.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN MULTIPLIER SCAM on: August 02, 2018, 11:44:53 PM
Why would you want your bitcoin to multiply quickly, if you are not trading or holding it for some time? Anyway it's good you shared to warn other "gullible" and greedy newbies who might have made a similar mistake. Learn how to trade,be patient and hold onto your BTC(if you can). Read pinned posts in this section and other sections. They help a lot.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 1 year change on: August 02, 2018, 10:21:44 PM
Historical data from 2017 on coinmarket cap shows that bitcoin was trading from 2K and above 3K in the first week of August. There was a sharp increase from of BTC price to almost a double of the August entry price. Clearly, bitcoin price is almost a double times the record price in August 2017. Bitcoin is still doing very well in my opinion. There have beens too many FUDs but the price is still strong.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Computer virus used to steal cryptos? on: August 02, 2018, 10:11:11 PM
These are some of the reasons why you have to take good suggestions on how how take care of your tokens/coins seriously. For example many experts suggest desktop wallets and more especially hardware wallet like Trezor to ensure the safety of your funds. 2FA authentications at trading sites, bookmarking the official websites of exchanges are all very good ways that make it hard for hackers to steals your crypto.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $280 in one airdrop, is it legit? on: July 29, 2018, 11:34:40 PM
Some of these airdrop would tell you the equivalence of what you would earn in dollars. These figures in dollars change because they may either have a good token sale or a bad one. Actual prices of tokens are seen when they are launched.
