So fees are 12% plus power costs?
Any other costs?
PS. Where can I see how many shares were bought?

This does seem a bit expensive if I must be honest.  12% hosting fee, 2,2% markup on the starting price (16,63 compared to 17 btc) AND $0,19/kWh.
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Blade Erupters suddenly stopped - help? on: December 22, 2013, 08:55:34 PM
I have checked everything (all the settings are also in the screenshot).  Whats funny is that if I direct the blades to another computer and run the same stratum.bat's everything works.  Just for some reason it doesn't want to pick up on this one.  Any ideas?

On this computer, even if I got with automatic IP configuration, check the IP that gets selected for the computer and direct the blades to that address - the stratum.bat's still don't have any activity.

Have you tried manually hitting "Switch server"? Sometimes mine don't pick back up without telling them to.

All that happens after hitting 'switch server' is I get one line of clean_jobs=True in the stratum.bat.
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Blade Erupters suddenly stopped - help? on: December 22, 2013, 05:04:36 PM
Hi there,
So I had to restart my computer while my Blades were running.  After the restart, I started up my stratum proxy to resume mining, and for some reason nothing was happening.  I didn't change any setting.
Here's a screenshot of my stratum file, my miner config and some other things.  What am I missing here??
Additionally:
I set my computers IP to xxx.104 because when I had it on automatic before and other devices would connect/disconnect with my router my own IP would sometimes change, stopping all mining.  My router doesnt have DHCP reservation, so that's why I did it this way.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: December 10, 2013, 09:21:43 AM
Thanks very much, it works great!  From your experience, is it better mining with different pools?  I thought it to be logical, having larger exposure- but I'd like to hear what others have to say about it Smiley.

Hey guys, having some troubles.
I have 3 blades set up.  They're all pointed at my computer, which is running slush's stratum proxy.  No problems here.

Now, I want to divide them up among different pools.
Trying to connect one blade to BTCguild what I tried is to create a .bat with the instructions provided by Dogie.  Still had all the blades pointing to my PC which was running now two different stratums.  What ended up happening is that the blades went nuts and all of them stopped mining the moment I launched the second stratum .bat file (launched it while slush's one was active).  I ended up restarting all of my blades and configuring them again.

So what I'd like to know is, whats the best way for me to achieve my goal of having each blade mine in a different pool?

You are correct in your thinking Smiley

The above device should allow you to connect up to 7 devices to your router (using the 8th port to connect the switch to your router)

Geraint

Thanks friend, much appreciated Smiley
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Blade erupter network setup? on: November 27, 2013, 10:05:03 AM
Hey everyone.

My question concerns connecting a couple of Blade Erupters to my router (and in turn giving me access to the operational panel of each blade, of course).

How should I go about connecting a couple of the devices? I don't want to connect each one into a different port in my router because I don't have that many free ports available.

From what I gathered, it might be possible to connect all of my blades into a switch. I don't know much about networking, so that's why I'm asking these questions. So, can i connect them to network switches? What kind of switch (or other device) should I get? Is there a limit (besides the number of available slots in the device) of how many blades I can connect to one device? Do I understand, that I then connect the switch with just one cable to my router, and have all the blades available to access? is it possible to connect such switch (or other device) to a wifi receiver and connect to that that wirelessly from my router?

Any help, or pointing to existing topics would be very appreciated!

I have one Block Erupter Blade, bought it about 3-4 weeks ago and I am currently at about 70% of ROI not including increased resale value. I managed to buy one for $240 before they shot up in price. I average about .008 BTC/day mining on Slush's pool. This will decrease over time as pool hashrate grows.

If you are willing to wait up to 12 months to make back your money, by all means, get started! Just keep in mind it will take some time to make back your investment, I would consider myself lucky for hitting ROI in 4-5 weeks. I would like to expand my mining but I am currently holding off to see if new hardware releases, etc. affect prices of current hardware before I invest more. Just be strategic with it!

Liking your additude! Also bought blades at that price, we were lucky!

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi.
My name is Dave, I've been interested in BTC for quite some time now.  I've done a little bit of mining, a little bit of BTC trading.  Looking forward to finding out new things, and being part of a new growing community!  Best wishes, happy mining.
