3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitcoin CPU Mining - Can't get it to work ! on: December 02, 2013, 10:52:19 PM
You might want to read the following article:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining

Anything less than an ASIC device is not going to be profitable at current prices.
4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty speculations by March 1 2014 on: December 02, 2013, 10:22:13 PM
Bitcoin Difficulty:                   707,408,283
Estimated Next Difficulty:   850,677,747 (+20.25%)
Adjust time:                   After 1458 Blocks, About 8.8 days

Looks like a whole bunch of Hardware just hit the network!

Things are only going to get worse with Cointerra planning to ship 1-2 PH/s in December Cry
5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ghash.io overtook btcguild on: December 02, 2013, 10:15:19 PM
Reliable, and has a tempting 0% pool fee (compared to BTC Guild's 3%).

So if you have your own mining hardware, you keep 100% of the BTC you mine Cheesy
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: December 02, 2013, 10:01:55 PM
Are BFL delivering now? is everything in stock now or same empty promises BS they have been spewing the last 12 months?

Apparently they have caught up with all orders (according to https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/).

However, if you order one now, you'll want to be careful and make sure you'll make a return on your investment.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining Help..... USB Block Erupter "No USB Devices Detected Error" on: December 02, 2013, 09:55:24 PM
You should be able to install them using this guide from BTC Guild (which works on the 2 PC's I've set it up for):

https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=support&section=blockerupter

If this doesn't work, you may want to check 'Device Manager' from Windows to see if the Block Erupters are showing.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: College Kid made over $22,000 in Bitcoin on: December 02, 2013, 09:47:34 PM
You could probably still get away with doing this, you just need to be in the right place at the right time.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who's still CPU mining? on: December 02, 2013, 09:40:41 PM
Primecoin is a good way to mine with the CPU (and exchange for BTC). It is quite profitable compared to mining BTC directly.
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Anyway to get 1TH NOW? on: December 02, 2013, 09:31:50 PM
You could always inquire how much a 1TH/s contract would be at Cloudhashing.com:

https://cloudhashing.com/business-contracts

I think currently they're inundated with a backlog of customer service requests, so they may take some time in getting back to you  Undecided
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Next Generation Miners on: December 02, 2013, 09:20:46 PM
Feels like the troll community is starting to look for a new target now that BFL has almost caught up.

It took them way too long to catch up, and they haven't even caught up yet, lots of people were completely scammed out of their money

Very disatisfying service

Just think about the amount of BTC people could have made if they delivered on time!  Roll Eyes

The new 20-28nm chips certainly look tempting.
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: November 26, 2013, 06:20:57 PM
Could this be why BFL isn't delivering product to customers?

Gotta stockpile up a lot of chips to make enough equipment to sell mining server time as a commodity.

What is there to stockpile?  Mining by the GH will take just as long to deliver as the Monarch.

PRE-ORDER ... Did everyone miss the button?  You won't be getting that gh/s today.

This reminds me of when I 'Pre-Ordered' my BFL 7GH/s Jalapeno back in May, and have only just received the package this morning from America.

Almost 7 months wait time! I wouldn't trust BFL to deliver on time with any product or service from what I have experienced, and read on the official BFL forums.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: November 26, 2013, 06:11:18 PM
Alt Coins are generally pump and dump schemes, and in the long run will not be worth as much as Bitcoin (in my opinion).

However, for those of you that are interested, you can check the profitability of mining Alt Coins at http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency.

I've been watching these for a couple months now, and have 'dabbled' with a few (namely PPCoin and ZetaCoin) but have made a loss compared to how much I would have made mining Bitcoin in this time.
