1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: February 04, 2018, 12:35:22 AM
I just received my 2pac and I cannot get it to work correctly.

I consistently get "share above target" very few of my shares are getting accepted. Same issue on windows and linux machines.

I've tried at 100mhz and up to 200mhz. No change it the issue. I also use a powered hub, this is the only device on the hub currently.

Any help getting it to work would be appreciated. Thanks!

What I use to start it.

./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu1.miningpool.shop:3333 -u 5xcZLmxBTU6whZWFCRc3qxVU8svZJQQTMD -p c=PLTCR --gekko-2pac-freq 150 --verbose

Try going to your pools webite and adjusting the mining difficulty to 128. Most pools adjust difficulty automatically but I've never heard of the pool you're using.

Thanks for the reply.
I set the diff to 128 and it did not change anything. I've tried it with several pools with no luck.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Moonlander 2 Driver and Support Thread on: January 31, 2018, 01:22:33 AM
I ordered 2 Moonlander 2 and have them hashing. The problem is that no matter what I do one of the sticks have an error rate of 5-10%. I've tried modifying clock settings, different USB ports, different computers, powered USB hubs, etc.

One stick is <.5% error rate and the other is 5-10% consistently. I've gone as low at 600MHz and as high as 796 each with similar results.

I've purchased directly from the developer on eBay. Not sure if I have a defective unit or I need to tweak the pots maybe?

Interested to hear any ideas on how to troubleshoot this.

Could be your powered hub, I have issues with my junky amazon basics hub if I try to go too high on power.

You pretty much need a powered hub for these guys.

I wonder if my Amazon Hub is just not putting clean power down. I put it back to stock power and I can run it at clock=796, it's seems to working fine now. averaging 4.5mhs

I am having a strange issue.

I am unable to adjust the clockspeed on my miner if I set it to anything other than 800 it fails to hash anything and stops responding
here are my settings
bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://poolurl.com:4224 -u bla.user -p password --no-longpoll -S MLD:\\.\COM5 --set MLD:clock=800 --verbose

This seems to be the only setting that works, If I set it higher, or lower it fails to respond. 800 is not even in your list of preset clock speeds. I've adjusted the power, lowered it, raised it, not difference. It is hashing at about 3.4Mh/s with HW:251/.20% in the last 21hrs.

What do you mean it fails to respond? At 3.4mh your defaulting to stock speed of 600mhz. Sounds like your not editing the clock speed correctly?

I figured since it was not one of your specified clock speeds it was defaulting to something.

This is the error I get.

I've done some more testing, clock speed 700 seems to work fine at around 4Mh/s I occasionally get an error(JSON-RPC non method decode failed: (null) Unknown startum msg:{"id":null, "result":[],"error": true} )Not sure if it is the miner or the pool causing that error.
Going to clock speed 720 kind of works, 3.7mhs but stops hashing and needs to restart per bfg miner.

I have the power at roughly .86

I'm impressed by the speed in which you put that site together!

The exchange site is really quite slow for me in the U.S.

Stocks.exchange just on twitter announced they will be removing TOTN in a week unless volume increases... You need to fix your coin! We cannot send it anywhere because wallets are not syncing.

Hi!

I thought a bit and made another improvement in the performance of the miner on the basis of parallel processing using technologies sse/avx/avx2. I included asm code from openssl. The version of T13.744 is in the Linux repo. Nominally, it shows an increase in the hashrate several times, but it's good to check that the rewards also increase.

Dev

Hashes are invalid i think

yea, it does not seem to be working correctly.

my guess is that an ASIC tried mining and your script locked the blockchain. I thought that you had that fixed so it only slows down asics? Also blockexplorer has been down a while.

Now it is outputting the correct version when I start it up in linux. I deleted the storage folder and restarted it, working correctly now.

Attention please!

Version T13.841 is in the Linux repo.

The main fix is:
- Nice guy True sitting in Vegas and playing our roulette performed some hack to increase speed of CPU miner up to 100500%. So you can try to verify it.

- Also fixed some typos and Win issues.

I am stuck at "trying to connect to the mainnet pool." on linux with the latest version. Also you did nto update the version number in the application.
