1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty for Open-Sourced XMR/Cryptonight GPU Miner Bounties Thread on: February 25, 2018, 01:11:10 AM
I'm having this error when I try to run the bat file

The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem.

However when looking at the zip files i download on contains 3 files.

ccminer.exe
cudart32_65.dll
pthreadVC2.dll

Im using NVIDIA 1070 GPU.

Thanks.
I'm running into the same issue.  Did you ever get this solved?

Try something a little more recent with active development:

Hmmm strange, when i installed the 1709 on one of my PCs there was still the Option. So far i did not see the option only when i wanted to install a diff. language than the installed one - there was the option greyed out.

Regarding winflash ... you could try to flash from the dos prompt ->

1. open cmd as admin
2. atiflash -i
3. atiflash -f -p # backup.rom

That allows to flash even with an ID missmatch - but double check that the file is the right one - as if not you might have a new doorstop  Shocked

I'll go with trying to find the right bios for the right manufacturer and memory setup rather than shoe-horn another bios into the card.

After running through all the options to restore/reinstall without the option to keep programs and files, I bit the bullet and opted for the keep files. Fucking retarded ass operating system. A shame that drivers, software and patches hit retardows 10 before other  OSes.

I haven't yet found the correct bios, but a windows reset/reinstall did the trick and both cards are recognized once more and redeon settings work.

Alright folks, I am in need of a small bit of help.

[...]

Request:

1) What do I do with windows in this state? Spidey senses are signalling a reset and loss of installed programs thus time spent in search of license keys and documentation prior to a reset/reinstall.

2) Where do I find stock a reliable list of stock BIOSes? I've got several tools which allow me to see manufacturer information (cpu-z for instance) and SRBPolaris to check memory supplier.

Comment on issue with GGS: when running 13 cards, the AMD cards(4) come and go in productivity but Nvidia(9) cards all function fine.

Thank you in advance for any assistance given,

Hank

1. You could try a Repair Install (of W10?) with an Inplace Upgrade. There is an option to keep all personal Data and installed Programms. So nothing will be lost and normally the OS gets fixed. There is a good guide on tenforums.com - just search for "W10 Repair Install".

2. Techpowerup has a nice collection of verified stock Bioses ... (and we all know that we should do a backup before we flash - right  Wink )

Edit: Such cases of damaged system files happen mostly when write cache is active and the system gets stuck somehow and it gets rebooted "too fast". Normally the ssd and hdds at least try to get their stuff together for a given amount of time - even when the screen is frozen - the OS may still be alive ...

It may have been the fall creator update, but there is not longer an option to keep both personal data and installed programs. If you go down this route you can only keep personal data.

I'll have a look on Techpowerup - however, the one that I downloaded for a D900 was incorrect. Atiflash wouldn't allow it to be put on the card.

Unfortunately, I bought 2nd hand and do not have the original BIOS available.

Alright folks, I am in need of a small bit of help.

Scenario:

I thought I had reverted bios to stock on AMD 580s so that I could tune in GGS. Wrong.

After I select "boost" I saw a pixelated screen and windows locked up. I rebooted, uninstalled GGS, deleted files in appdata folder left behind after uninstall, re-ran and reinstalled.  GGS came up and I selected "restore" settings just in case it took off mining with the boosted settings again.

It ran fine for 15-20 minutes and then one card went to 0, then the other. This is my gaming PC, not my rig.

After a reboot, windows squaked that it could not read the memory at location: 0x000000000[whatever]:[whatever] which was happening when windows first tried to re-install the GPU driver. Upon second reboot, same message, no driver install. On third reboot, no message, no driver, cannot start radeon settings program.

I took one of the cards out and swapped it into my rig where it has run fine for over 4 hours.

However, back on the gaming PC, windows will now not recognize any video card, not AMD nor NVIDIA and resorts to a default driver.

I have run DDU for both AMD and NVIDIA drivers from safe mode twice.

Request:

2) Where do I find stock a reliable list of stock BIOSes? I've got several tools which allow me to see manufacturer information (cpu-z for instance) and SRBPolaris to check memory supplier.

How would I launch for just GPU 7, an AMD card?

Oddly, when launched nsgminer only employs my Nvidia cards?

I want to use nsgminer strictly on the Amd cards. Can anyone assist me with configuration switches for that?

7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Kraken failing? on: February 03, 2018, 04:16:05 AM
That is not the tier level service one sees after signing up.

This is (which clearly states real currency capabilities):

In a not-very-coincidental move, my account was verified directly after this posting.

This should not be the way in which a customer obtains service as promised from a financial services provider.
8  Economy / Exchanges / Is Kraken failing? on: February 01, 2018, 05:21:58 AM
I opened an account with Kraken around the beginning of January. I went through level 3 account validation which is still pending.

At level 2, the service states that one should have the ability to move real funds in and out up to US2,000 per transaction up to US10,000 per month. However, once I was tier 2 validated, I opened a ticket and asked for swift code/bank details so that I could move funds in to buy crypto.

This should have been simple as their service level states this as a feature of level 2.

My ticket has seen 3 responses:
1) we don't support deposit via USD until tier 3 (unlike their service tiered offer on their website) [Jan 4th]
2) sorry we haven't gotten back to you in a while; we've escalated your tier 3 verification [Jan 16th]
3) sorry you haven't received a reply to this support ticket yet [Jan 29th]

With both a conflict in customer support between printed/stated customer tier service offering and the customer support team; identification validation taking more than 2 business days (a month); and, a month to resolve such a simple item, I am feeling afraid that Kraken has cracked.

Hi I am trying to get 12x 1070 running on Win10/Biostar BTC-250PRO
ATM getting WHEA uncorrectable BSOD, putting it down to driver or installation issue but now worried I cannot find any confirmed details of Win10 systems over 8 NVidia GPUs.

@roptix did you have any joy?

I've taken a day or two to search for a resolution to this myself, but I need help.

Can someone highlight what I have done wrong? I get this issue mining ZEC on this pool and Dwarfpool.

I'm not sure why your password is c=zec?

password should just be x. No?

Kind of funny that nanopool deosn't even mention ccminer in their setups...I think most people use ewbf miner because even with the 2% fee your getting more production than the 2% cost of using the miner. You might also try using their other port. I once had a problem with the pool being offline. Try using the next closest pool to you.

Password is blank. The c=ZEC is an additional parameter passed through the password field for coin name. It is common.

The launch script works fine at zec.suprnova.cc on port 4142 - port setup specifically in support for ccminer.

It appears dwarfpool and nanopool do not support ccminer.

Hi sorry for maybe again the same question.. but i dont figure out the problem... my wallet was syncing first days correct, but now its says no block source available... since 2 weeks... i changed nothing.. in the folder gobyte core i put the addnodes in the gobyte.conf..... what else could it be ? the 4 wallet files i put on another disk on the same computer... but since initial setup... any idea whats going wrong? the first gbx i got on the wallets.. but the rest not and no transfer posible...
oliver

Did you find the wallet backup files?  I didn't install in default directory, so mine were not in the app\roaming directories.

If you can find where it has installed data, just shut down your wallet and copy one of the automatically created backups from when you know you had coin.

For instance, my install directory was d:\Program Files\(GoByte_0.12.1.3)Windows64. After copying the back wallet to wallet.dat in that directory, I went to a command line in that directory and entered

   gobyte-qt.exe -datadir="thatdirectorynamefromabove"[ENTER]

The wallet then caught back up to several weeks of blockchain and then processed my transactions stored in that backup.

Why the software seems to self destruct is uncertain. I did not have a system outage or restart today and yet there was a point where I realized the wallet was no longer running and when I restarted the wallet, it was empty.

I hope this helps. The problem is fixable!
