Extra step 1 for windows:
install node-gyp
install visual studio express 2013
and
instead of the windows cmd shell, use the cygwin shell (that can actually run sh commands.. )

Hey,
I have a server available to install my own block explorer on for testing. I have been looking at Abe and Insight, but my knowledge of linux is really shitty and the installation of those 2 packages went even worse. Can't get it to work, too much errors -.-
Are there any new block explorer projects that I missed in the last 6 months or so?

install insight or bitcore.io onto your own box and ping the api to your heart's content.

Abe is outdated.. I'll have a look at insight, haven't seen that name before. Thanks for the input!!
Basically what I need is my own personal blockchain.info explorer WITH API functionallity, but without the 10-second wait time between requests. I want to be able to send API-requests without getting IP-banned lol

For data analysis purposes I am looking for a standalone blockchain explorer that has roughly the same functionality as the blockchain.info API or the blockexplorer.com API. The blockchain does not have to be 100% actual. For example I could work just fine with a blockchain from a week ago. Preferably be installed on linux, but windows is okay too
I looked at Abe, but I can't get it installed correctly and it is giving me a really hard time :/ Are there any relatively new projects that I've missed?

Hey all,
I'm looking to set up my own bitcoin explorer to play around with. However, I can't get Abe working correctly. Does anyone have any tips on easy-to-install block explorers, that work on windows or linux (ubuntu preferably)? My knowledge of linux is not very good, so it has to be relatively easily installed, or documented decently..
