First of all, I look at the cv of the manager, who runs the campaign. I believe successful and respectful managers will not risk their reputation by working with obvious scam. Then I check sites like icobench or icoholder and have a quick look at the project's whitepaper. If I consider their chances for collecting declared amount for money to be good, I join the campaign.

It is great to feel youself a part of new perspective technology. I started with airdrops, now try to analyze long term bounties and to comprehend the way how cryptocurrencies itself work. The success of last year's ICO was connected to a great burst of cryptocurrency market. It led to an appearing of fraudsters, whos only aim is to finish ICO and collect money. Now it is much worse time for ICOs, but I believe this is not the end and we just need to choose projects far more carefully to avoid sponsoring scam. Maybe, it will never be so easy as it was last year.

To say honestly, I didn't devote much time to scrutinizing Litecoin. But everything I read about it was connected to bad predictions about it's future. As for Bitcoin, there is still wide range of ways to spread information about it all over the world. Many people, who have listened about it, didn't have a convinient options to buy BTC. But with the development of industry it should appear such methods, so I suppose if we meet another wave of crypto hype, Bitcoin will have very nice chances to become much more expensive due to it's dominance on the market.

I do it very often. It was my first step, when I started being interested in cryptocurrencies. But I continue hunting for airdrops because of two reasons. Firstly, it is a pretty good option to get a perspective coin or token. Who knows, how much will it cost in a few years? Secondly, it is nice additional income and it doesn't need much time to devote.

I think it strongly depends on the success rate of near future ICOs. The main reason of Ethereum's growth last year was great results of those time's ICO. But right now it's bad period for new projects, so people need much less Ethereum that it used to be.
