2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: August 30, 2018, 04:00:27 PM
For now, I agree. It is more than investment, than a currency. But we can change that as well. If those guys above us will make some laws to regulate and handle blockchain normelly, we will have the Bitcoin currency.

I hope what you are saying comes true. But even if it has failed as a currency or used primarily for other purposes, it is not the defeat of crypto. Many projects have evolved in same way. Like YouTube started as a dating website and later became a video sharing platform.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders being taxed in India on: August 30, 2018, 03:57:21 PM
I still don't get this kind of news and the point is how the government will understand that this person is holding bitcoin and how they will imposed tax on it.

Here is how they will know this:

1) Taking the details of investors from Indian crypto investors.

2) Tracking heavy investments being done through bank transactions.

3) May be  monitoring use of internet for certain specific websites or exchanges.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian exchanges have announced that no crypto-fiat exchanges will be allowed . on: July 07, 2018, 06:51:42 AM
Indian exchanges have announced that no crypto-fiat exchanges will be allowed till further RBI notice. So now the future of Crypto in india is in dilemma.

An interesting thing to observe is that in some exchange INR deposits and withdrawals are still working like Unocoin. This means that all banks have not followed the RBI circular. Even Zebpay just paused before a day saying that it is following RBI notice. The exchange did not mention if it got any notice from the banks it was using. This means that banks have actually not got any official letter from RBI to impose the ban on 5th July.

Many people cry about the merit system. Before you cry, try to understand that sooner or later signature companies will be less attractive. Develop yourself and your skills. Only then you will notice on this forum! And in life! I apologize for my English, I study it for about 4 months.

What do you mean by signature companies being less attractive ? I am in favor of merit system but the signature campaigns are not giving it any importance now. Some campaigns started giving preference to members with merits but it was stopped in few days. I think such campaigns failed to  get so many members with merits and thus this concept was completely withdrawn.
6  Other / Meta / Re: I understood why I do not get merit. on: July 07, 2018, 06:44:25 AM
When merit was introduced, there were some ways to get merits :

1) Talk good about merits.

2) Ridicule those opposing merit system

3) Make a list of merit abusers

4) Start a thread giving away merits

With time members realized that the intention of these in most cases was to get merits only.
7  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: July 06, 2018, 08:27:45 AM
So there has been a message from theymos to merit sources stating :

Code:
(This message is being sent to most merit sources.)

Previously, you may have noticed that there was a bug in the algorithm which calculated your source merit, causing your source merit to replenish less than intended. The algorithm has now been adjusted to hopefully fix this. As a side-effect, your non-source sMerit may also have changed.

The intended behavior is that if you send x source merit, then you'll get x source merit back 30 days after that send. (Not in a monthly lump.)

Let me know if you still see any anomalies.

Did someone notice any change in his Source merit status?

How was this leaked ? Did a merit source reveal this information ? In my opinion, it should not have been made public as it discloses the identity of merit source posting this. That information was kept private for some purpose.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Idea: Courses on: July 06, 2018, 08:23:15 AM
Here is how this can be achieved on this forum :

1) Creating a section here where members can add such information under various headings. They can be encouraged with merits or some monetary rewards.

2) Having some strict measures to deal with spam in that section.

3) Regarding having course related to "Make money online", you should reconsider that as it will dilute the forum in my opinion.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Ban this fucker before he hurts somebody !!! URGENT !!! on: July 06, 2018, 08:16:41 AM
It doesn't matter much (see what Vod wrote), however, he deleted the posts.
Just for the cases when it'll matter, next time make a capture of the "problematic" posts, for example you can use https://archive.fo for that.

He was quick. Not active posting spam but also an alert member to remain safe. If he would have showed some smartness while making these posts, it would have benefited both the forum and that member. Some members think that their own interests are above that of forum. If someone has to succeed on a platform for long run, he has to ensure that his actions do not affect that medium negatively.

10  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Merit Phase 2 - Drain the Swamp (@theymos) on: July 06, 2018, 08:02:00 AM
When merit system was introduced, we saw many people appreciating it and telling how it would benefit the forum. No doubt, there are some members here that make good posts here after merit system in hope of getting merits.

But I had seen recently that signature campaigns do not give it much importance now. Earlier, members who had merits were given preference in signature campaign or even paid higher in some cases. But such requirements had been completely removed in signatures campaigns being announced recently.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: BOTTOM? list? the real bottomcaller on: June 26, 2018, 03:55:44 AM
I am not  much of an expert but I do not think that the price will go below $5000. The hash rate has increased to the highest ever and prices have always followed hash rate in the past.

If in any case it goes to below $3000 or so, it will collapse in next few days. Only the people behind the project will keep the coins to support it.
12  Other / Meta / Re: Done with this forum on: June 26, 2018, 03:44:47 AM
Did you try to recover access to the original account ? I agree that it has high wait time currently but it is certainly worth it. If I had to choose one between buying a higher ranked account and waiting for my account to be recovered by staff, I will choose to wait only.

Regarding getting scammed while buying accounts, there is huge probability of that happening all time for these kind of services.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: June 26, 2018, 03:24:50 AM
I think what you would like is for me to be a lawyer, or a teacher. I'm neither. And yet, my opinions are still valid and I am indeed an expert in the area of organizational interventions. Which for some reason really bothers you.

Let others decide that based on the posts you make here. Even if you really an expert in the field that you mention, posting this by yourself is not the sign of a mature person. It will affect your credibility here. I hope you understand.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I ask about learning to mine Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2018, 03:13:07 AM
You can post even in bitcoin discussion section like this thread :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2185062.0
Its better go to Mining section, since there discuss about hardware, pools, mining software, etc.

I agree to this suggestion. As per the rules, you can post in bitcoin discussion as other members have did.

But you also need to understand that the probability of getting a more helpful answer is higher in mining section. Bitcoin discussion is already overcrowded and it will most probably get moved to second page before you even get some answers there.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin? on: June 14, 2018, 08:25:18 AM
The crypto world is ever changing and finding the best ICOs to invest in can be a pain in the neck. If you’re looking for new coins to start your venture in this industry, read about all coins in top 100 on coinmarketcap so that you can pick your own the top five cryptocurrencies that you should support in 2018.
16  Other / Meta / Re: How to Become Signature Master in 12 Hours. I did it, so can you. on: June 14, 2018, 08:22:59 AM
This is  very useful information especially for users how are looking to promote just their own website instead of participating in signature campaigns.

Someone can use the information provided here to learn and master this and then offer this as service for signature campaigns. Most of the managers will be able to follow this and make one for the campaign but I do not think they have time for that and thus will still outsource this aspect.
17  Other / Meta / Re: What does a Jr. Member do? on: June 14, 2018, 08:20:55 AM

Great topic for newbie like me. i hope this will help more newbies like me.

The discussion is about jr members so it will not help you. Smiley

Most of the suggestions that OP got from his friend actually applies to all members. Like reporting merit abuse in forum is something that all members should do here based on their knowledge and experience. It is true that some experience is required to spot these accurately but you can try this. This forum does not have any special section for higher rank members (as per my knowledge) and thus you can get all information as newbie or jr member also.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you need to know before investing in crypto on: June 03, 2018, 07:52:35 AM
The accusations from so called gurus was not enough. Now we have predictions from some random investor with a fictitious name.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: March 29, 2018, 02:09:26 PM
Anyone bought drugs with bitcoin and what are you thought on the subject ?

i know i have used bitcoin to buy psilocybe cubensis thank you bitcoin i cold have not done this without you now i can trip watching corry & eastenders in the evening its such a sight.

I have not brought drugs with bitcoins ever. Also note that most of the websites that accept bitcoin payments for different types of products do not allow listing any drugs on their website. For instance, you will not find any such listing on bitify .
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin's value to be zero on: March 29, 2018, 01:59:10 PM
The trend now regarding bitcoin is that it constantly goes down in every second and every minute. Is this the end of it? Will there be any possibility that its value becomes zero? Or specifically demonetised? Because for me I think 5 to 10 years from now this will happen simply because of the appearance of other alternative coins. What's your opinion about it?

I am also sad with the bitcoin prices decreasing consistently over last few days. In the last one week bitcoin has dropped by about 15% and coins like Ethereum has dropped by 30% or more. It will not go to zero in my opinion but we see more price decrease in future.
