1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you go to prison for killing a known murderer? (fargo related) on: June 20, 2020, 11:43:14 PM
I'm not familiar with that show, but in real life you cannot take action into your own hand. Not because it's wrong killing say someone who abuses children, but because the law has to protect those until proven guilty. Many times people have taken the law into their own hands and killed innocent people. Then it's like oops.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My top 7 exchanges for trading on: April 10, 2020, 10:34:46 PM
I mostly use Binance. I used to use Bittrex, but now they can't do business where I live. Very frustrating.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons for traders to look at! on: February 09, 2020, 01:08:19 AM
I'm a noob, but is it possible for everyone to make a profit, or must there always be losers?
Not everyone did best and that is why others will fail. The real thing that may happen in crypto trading is that someone will suffer losses while the others will win. If we feel that we are not happy with the results, think also the reason that causes such negatives and you'll find the solution that could help to fix it otherwise, you'll still be a loser until the end.

The problem with me is that I start feeling guilty thinking that my gain was somebody else's painful loss.
Unless you scammed someone then you should not feel sorry or guilty about your profits, if you are going to use that kind of thinking then you should feel guilty about every single dollar that you get, after all if you work hard at your job and your boss pays you then he is losing money in order to pay you and yet you do not feel guilty about being paid for your job don't you? This is the same, if you do a good job in the markets then you are going to get paid but if you don't then you are the one that needs to pay the market.

Funny, I was thinking about this today. What I feel guilty, I guess you can say sorry for people who are new to this, don't know much and innocently lose their money. Or people who had no idea of crypto being told by a friend or family member to invest in this, they trusted them and then lose it all. Like I feel really bad for such people, and the regret that they must feel.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any trading chat rooms? on: December 22, 2019, 12:20:09 AM
In terms of motivation, I want to do something like that, but in real life. Meat someone who is into crypto and talks about crypto, making it part of my every day life.

In chat rooms you don't know who you're going to get.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade - mistake? on: July 13, 2019, 09:36:20 PM
Just be grateful that you made something, and stop relying on clues in charts. Stop thinking that you must buy at the absolute lowest, and sell at the absolute peek. There's no way for anyone to know. So many different factors determines the price of coins.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin bump into bottom again? on: June 27, 2019, 09:41:41 PM
Unfortunately I was out of work the past 8 months. I would have been buying Bitcoins. Not hoping for things to go to the bottom, but if they I will work at McDonalds.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List Exchanges Hacked 2011 / 2019 on: June 20, 2019, 09:44:41 PM
all i can say is that the attack on Mt.Gor exchange might be coming from the same person. this showcase the need for people to avoid abandoning their tokens on exchange. it is not advisable or favourable. get a wallet. whatever you earn from the exchange can be earn on the wallet.

Well, there are reports that most of the hacks are coming from the same groups of people sponsored by the governments of North Korea and Russia, but you know, these are just Western reports. All politics lead to fake news.

I don't even really consider all hacks are legit. I still believe Mt Gox and others were exit scams. But that's just me, I hate trusting people and when you see their faces...

I'm from the West and I've never heard of such claims. Not once. Most hacks seem to get blamed on an unknown hacker. What I'm saying is stop with the us vs them propaganda.

I didn't know Coinbene was hacked. I have some coins there. Hopefully it wasn't too bad.
11  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Should I teach myself Python on: September 06, 2018, 05:29:29 AM
I've been collecting eBooks from PackT publishing, and the latest free book is Scientific Computing with Python 3. They have a daily free book, and several of them are Python related, that's what stimulated my interest. If you want today's free book you've only got 7 hours to grab it, but they do cycle through the list, so it will turn up again. If you download it, don't forget to get the code file as well.

Great free books list, i take some about JS and node.

Python is a powerful tool, but i think JavaScript is better because is focused to online projects. At end it depends on the application that software will have, if you want to make an android app you'll need to learn other language than python or JS. and if you want to build a game maybe you will go with C based engines.

I'm always afraid of giving my email. How reliable is that website? And are the books PDFs? Are they legit copies, or scanned from a textbook? If not, why would the publisher let them give it away for free. Just my skeptical mind.
12  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Should I teach myself Python on: September 05, 2018, 08:53:44 PM
I was taking a programming class last year which included Python and some assembly. Of course you should learn some high level language, since who really programs in assembly this day in age. I've never seen a job application asking for assembly.

(Note that high level does not mean more advanced, it just means that it's more abstracted from the hardware, while low level is closer. The lowest level is machine language, the zeros and ones, so high level languages end up getting compiled to low level ones.)
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My top alt coins that will see biggest gains by 2020 on: August 29, 2018, 10:39:20 PM
I do have Neo and Matrix. The only thing that worried me a little about Matrix was that back during it's ICO, I took a screen shot of one of their promotional video, because it was so high quality, and did a Google image search, and found that it also belong to an unrelated video, with the actors using the same AI powered house or something. But other than that I think it might have some potential.

As for Neo, I put about 1% of my portfolio into it, last week or so. I would have bought more, but I get nervous putting more in when the price rises even though it's just a little.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it practical to expect tenfold jump in Bitcoin this year ? on: August 23, 2018, 05:30:20 AM
I don't think it's possible this year. The market has just been horrible this year with so many people who were open enough to get into Bitcoin due to all the publicity, exiting. Where are we going to get so many people open enough to invest in crypto again?
15  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: August 21, 2018, 09:11:29 PM
This is opportunity, what I'm currently doing is studying up, reading whitepaper after whitepaper, and put a small amount into anything that I like. I spent the whole night doing this, last night. It's very tedious, and so many steps involved, because you have to sign up for this exchange, and that exchange, transfer here, transfer there. The you have stuff to do in your daily life.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Man generates his own electricity, still pays electricity taxes on: August 16, 2018, 05:26:07 AM
What his doing is beautiful, I would love to one day create my own electricity. What really annoys me is not so much the taxes, since at least it should still be less than the average person, but what really annoys me is that he has to have a meter to measure his electricity consumption. It's Canada, so I hope the US also doesn't tax people for generating their own electricity.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still HODL? on: August 13, 2018, 10:21:14 PM
It's hard. I mean even if we go back a month, maybe two ago. My thinking was hold, because it can't possibly go any lower. And here we are again with the same thinking. Because it just doesn't seem logical that things can get any lower. But I felt the same way months ago.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: August 09, 2018, 02:02:38 AM
I sold a little bit a week ago, disappointed that I didn't sell more. The whole hold no matter what culture since last January was completely not the way to go. I don't know how long it will continue, but I need to pay my bills.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Crypto help you out? on: July 31, 2018, 02:00:07 AM
It helped me out by opening my eyes to investing and pretty much humanity. Particularly how things can gain or lose value based on people as a hold.

Since your friend is going to be a massive newbie, I suggest he only invest a little here and there, since he will be more prone to lose it all.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Climbing Stable while most other Altcoins get RED? on: July 26, 2018, 01:51:47 AM
From what I'm hearing it's because the money is in Bitcoin right now, so people are taking it out of their alts. But once they have enough, the alt market will become more attractive and then you will see things getting better there. So patients. I hope.
