Are any of you gents contemplating buying the 21k A11 pro that Inno has on 'offer.' I am itching to buy one for some weird reason and need to be talked out of it...
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s17+ Simultaneous failure of all three hashboards on: January 13, 2022, 03:30:46 PM
Im so glad I sold all my S17+ last year. They are all garbage quality, but thats not what you want to hear...

I would carefully try each hashboard one by one in the working miner to see if any hash.  If the ALL hash it is certainly a power supply/controller issue. Buy extra PSUs/controllers for these machines.... If 2/3 hash, the bad board is killing the good ones and not allowing the unit to work. Could also be a controller failure. You could try the good controller with the good hashboards (after testing) and see if that works. Swapping controllers sometimes works.
3  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is currently the best lLEGITIMAL cloud miner i on: December 11, 2021, 09:01:34 PM
I used to use bitdeer quite a bit but they way the contracts are worded they almost ALWAYS win and you almost always lose.  Don't do it other than if you want to play around and watch their figures.

My last decent purchase was 12 months ago buying s19pro for about .2 btc. It finally ROI'ed in BTC terms after mining for 12 months but that includes the Chinese drop which really really helped.  And this is with what they said <6ct power and no fees. Now power is 7.5c and every plan has extra fees and difficulty is really taking a shit on the returns.

I doubt any of their current plans will ROI unless coins moon and in that case it will always be better to buy btc directly.
4  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bobcat Miner 300 miner hotspot for HNT at cheap price on: October 23, 2021, 06:09:56 PM
Dunno while pricing seems scammy in a few months it actually may be legit. Value is dropping like a rock. Mine went from 3hnt/d to 1.5 after halving. Now at .3 - .5/d for the ones that are still working. Who knows what is going to happen next month but I guarantee these won't be making more HNT then...
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need an opinion from the pros regarding S19 design on: October 17, 2021, 09:53:46 PM
I had problems with my s17s after a year (S/T15s were even worse!) Sold them all and moved to S19s. One failed during warranty and bitmain swapped it out very quickly.  It gets hot and humid here so I take extra precaution during the summer to keep miners under 95F.  Heat and humidity kills all miners.  If you are running where it is cold you should not have these issues.  I think they are about the same quality-wise. I really liked my first S19pro but then when the issues started I moved them to cool environment and have not had any problems for 4-5 months.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Innosilcon is trying to get rid of heavily used miners on: September 23, 2021, 05:20:56 PM
Refurbished miners could be a great bargain if you get a diamond in the rough with no issues but that is playing a dangerous game if there is no warranty attached to them. Depending on the price and time to get to you it may pay itself off quickly but if it breaks it could quickly become a paperweight or something that ends u costing what a new unit would plus the downtime to ship it back for repairs.  Would love to hear feedback as well from anyone who bought one.

Those Innosilicon refurbished miners are 6 months garanty

I ordered two. One is working ok and the other needed a new PSU upon delivery. Inno help email said 'good luck sending it back to us, because we won't get it or help in any way in case customs causes issues with the delay'

So I suppose their warranty might be valid in CHINA but I doubt it is worth anything anywhere else in the world...

I agree with original post. Garbage machines DON'T BUY THESE!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: September 03, 2021, 07:28:22 PM
So... I finally got my win in a shuffle after trying 30+ times and it seems like this new RTX 3080 Xtreme is a LHR edition. NOTE there was no advisement from newegg about it being LHR. Nothing in the shuffle or on the box or sticker says anything about LHR. Its starts mining around 87mhs and drops to 47 very quickly. I'm super bummed. Do you guys know of any mining software that gets around the issue? Feel free to PM if its private.

Be careful with those screen shots Phil. I just had my SIM card ported and my email/coinbase account passwords reset. Coinbase's default 2FA authentication goes to your phone and your email is security is also garbage if its 2FA is also your phone. I guess they upgraded my coinbase (which was basically unused) to coinbase pro and I guess that gave them instant access to all crypto on the account.  Drained my bank account to coinbase and transferred it out to their address in less than 30 minutes...
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: March 02, 2019, 04:40:15 PM
I loaded the new firmware on a T15 that was taking forever to boot up and now it is rebooting itself every 30 minutes or so. Maybe it is a firmware issue, maybe it's the miner...

Has Anyone else have any issues with the new firmware? I went to flash the old firmware from an older T15 but it seems they have made it so we can no longer download backups from the interface. How can I find the old T15 firmware?

I had a lot of problems with the network error initially. But figured out I needed to follow the static IP setup to accept a new pool. I think it's a great machine so far. 28.5ths running full power. Over 18 in economode.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Inside of Antminer Z9`s on: June 28, 2018, 01:11:23 AM
I put one in my garage and while there is a whooshing sound of air moving, it is nothing like the high pitched whine from S9's. the noise is easily bearable and much better than the dual-fan miners. Thank god! Note I have it venting into an AC duct so that helps some but other than that it's open.
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 19, 2018, 10:21:13 PM
Hey guys a small question i ordered 6 antminers s9 in the last batch sold i paid using a wire transfer from USA did everything perfect, selected pay all fees, my order status now is PAYING and VALID also it shows what they recieved it shows i sent 14447$ and they recieved 14442$ not my fault since i paid my fees on my side. Am i in the clear? or do i need to pay those 5$ for them to change my order to paid?

PD: First time ordering from bitmain

open a ticket, they give you a bitcoin address to pay the difference. or have a new wire.
If you do not pay, do not send,

This is 100% false. Bitmain will eat their 5 dollar fee. They did it several times for me last year.
