1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: February 02, 2018, 05:52:00 PM
So many people are saying they believe in cryptocurrency, but they don't even really understand where the potential comes from. BLOCKCHAIN is the big technology here. Jokes coins and most designed as an alternative to fiat money will mostly be weeded out. What happened before the dotcom bubble is basically happening here. We had way too many companies using the internet for stupid things with no real purpose. Once the bubble bursts on these cryptocurrencies, the ones actually utilizing blockchain to DO SOMETHING REAL will come to the forefront and flourish. If you believe in the tech, then just buy and hold "good" coins. If you don't care and you're trading short term, that's a totally different story.

There are good coins out there that you shouldn't really have to worry about long term even in a bear market. Civic is a coin using blockchain to control and protect identity info. An up and coming coin is Hadron that uses it for distributed AI computing. Anyways, long story short, there's no need to panic. Market corrections are normal. Believe in the tech.

Altcoins are the future. I'm not talking about another financial coin that just offers another way to send money. Eventually, this trend will probably die out and give way to coins that actually use blockchain and apply it in ways that actually change our way of life.

Take Hadron for example. They're still in alpha, but they've already shown the ability to utilize the idle processing power on our devices. At the moment, they are testing this capability out on classifying images, but they plan on using it for AI computations. The distributed computing aspect has enormous potential. We've already moved from server farms to cloud computing. The next step will be this distributed cloud computing. Check it out: www.hadron.cloud.

If you're in this long term, find coins that are actually trying to revolutionize something. Find something that you actually believe in. Buy it, hold it!

Sounds obvious, but if you are bullish on bitcoin long term, then you most definitely should be accumulating. Don't dump all your money in at once though. Buy some now. If it drops, buy more. I'd say split your buys up into 1/4 of what you put it as a whole.
