1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did I just lost my BCH ? Tried to claim Bitcoin SV on: June 27, 2020, 12:48:52 PM
Thanks for the replies.
At this point I got a reply in the live chat of Coinomi mobile wallet (cool), I was told to send the BSV to my Coinomi BCH address, now I got same amount of BCH back.
I was told to start the split again with their tutorial and using the Coinomi wallet where my BCH is now.
Waiting for TX to confirm now, looks OK so far...
That was a bit stressful  Grin

It confuses me a bit that I need to start over in Coinomi BCH wallet and not my initial BCH core/abc wallet; because I consider this BCH in Coinomi to be "new" after the fork, but we'll see ...
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Did I just lost my BCH ? Tried to claim Bitcoin SV on: June 27, 2020, 12:02:25 PM
Hello.
Can someone help a bit ?

I had BCH in a "core" type wallet (bitcoin ABC)

I knew I had a few BCH when the SV fork was made, so:

- I went to bitcoin abc wallet, I exported the private keys
- I went to Coinomi mobile wallet, under my bitcoin SV wallet I used their "sweep" function and typed my private keys
- Transacitons confirmed and I got the amount of BCH inside my SV wallet.
- I saw that when importing the keys, it basically made a transaction, mobile wallet created a new SV address where funds where received

Now... my BCH are also gone from my core wallet. Exact same transactions that were sent to SV. What the heck happen ? What did I do wrong ? Sad
I was expecting to have both BCH and SV.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: June 12, 2020, 09:44:38 PM
I have 10 BTG at YoBit for 2 years, their wallet was placed under "maintenance" and remained like that forever.
The only way to (try to) get it out is to change it to BTC (for 30% of real price).
That is pure scam.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitPanda.com pretends they cannot verify me after keeping my money on: January 20, 2020, 03:16:05 AM
Update: today when I tried to login to BitPanda it says "Account is inactive".

These people are really something else. They did told me on Reddit to "refrain from posting on other mediumsGrin

I guess this is like a childish revenge or something, which seems to be more important than making the customer happy.

Why are they upset ? Because I told people their funds can be blocked and verification didn't work ? Now is harder to find similar "clients" ?  Undecided
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitPanda.com pretends they cannot verify me after keeping my money on: January 17, 2020, 05:15:53 PM
Until today, they always shown the verification as being needed if I wanted to add fiat or use the exchange platform, I only added BTC and withdrawn EUR.

After this, I consider it is best to verify before any transfer, that would mean to be used to always send my ID before anything else, which is not a great habit.

I am unsure they have my ID at this point, the procedure always said it failed; and they never wanted me to send it manually. The verification process did ask me many times to put the ID card in front of the camera, it also asked for microphone access which is not great.

Their first ticket reply:

The verification through Youniqx, IDNow and eID is currently the only option we offer. There is no other option. Unfortunately, we do not offer verification by post.
You can see the accepted documents here. The verification services cannot accept other documents.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to complete your verification if our verification services (Youniqx, IDNow and eID) are unable to verify your account.

What should I do in this case ? The only one showing to me is ElectonicID .EU, the one that fail to verify me, so I go to contact them, here is what you get:

A contact form refreshing and most probably not sending any message:

Hello Adrian,

Please login your account and withdraw your funds within the next three days.

Thank you.

Best regards,

I just logged in on computer, it still says to verify first, if I try to click sell, transfer, etc.
"Good job" BitPanda.

it worked from mobile device and I got my BTC out. After the 3 days I guess they will lock my account, because I told people what they do
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitPanda.com pretends they cannot verify me after keeping my money on: January 17, 2020, 02:59:16 PM
They use 3rd parties to make the verification and basically they try to keep the money and claim it is not their fault.

My national ID is valid, name matches and all, there is no problem. Hopefully they read this and fix it to clear their reputation, because as it is now, they don't try to help at all.

It is very "convenient" for them to accept the money and then invoke all kind of errors and problems when trying to withdraw.

If they had good intentions, they would verify me manually, I can provide these documents but they don't want to do that.

Edit: I tried to contact the company responsible for these KYC verification, their contact form simply refreshed after I send the message, no idea if it was sent or not (no email confirmation received) but you can imagine the reliability level of these services that do the verification, BitPanda must have picked them on purpose.

We should have some laws that prevent them from taking money if we are not fully accepted as clients (e.g "verified"). Otherwise they just take advantage of us, as it is now.
8  Economy / Scam Accusations / BitPanda.com pretends they cannot verify me after keeping my money on: January 17, 2020, 12:57:24 PM
I thought this is a legit business but I doubt it now, it looks like they try to make a profit by holding user's money.

I deposited a relatively small amount of BTC, not much but these were literary my only money, they accepted it without a problem, when I tried to withdraw to EUR or to send it to another BTC address, now they claim I need to be verified.

Fair enough, for my country they list national ID as a valid document, I have that, I keep it in front of the camera, good light and all, tried also with all their apps (android, ios, etc), all saying "IdType unauthorized".

I contacted them, they said there is nothing they can do if I cannot verify. I would gladly manually provide the documents to them but they refuse to accept that.

They also told me on a Reddit topic that I should refrain from posting on other mediums about this. Who does that ? Scammers that want to keep scamming other people.

I also saw another user's acount being blocked after he complained about a similar situation and he wrote reviews about this.

I am a honest customer with valid documents and I try to act reasonable to verify my account, yet they refuse to help me and they keep my money.

My ticket id with them: Ticket-ID (289155).

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Motherboard on: January 22, 2018, 12:45:13 PM
Can anyone tell me please what settings to use on Gigabyte GA-Z270-Gaming K3 in order to work with 6 GPUs ?
I tried and when I plug 6th card it would not start, not even to bios, looks like there is not enough power to PCI-e slots, and there must be some bios settings.
Any ideeas ? I am trying for hours :/
Thanks.
Replying to my own question in case someone bumps into same issue:
The Gigabyte GA-Z270-Gaming K3 will only start with 6 cards if you
 - update bios from their site but not with latest version but a special "mining" bios version for this card, that is found in a different area of the site (mining mini-site).
 - disable onboard GPU and make it start with PCI 1 by default
 - install OS and only then connect the other 5 cards (6 total).
 - with 6 cards you will only get video signal once it boots into windows 10 and you cannot "see" the bios/startup with 6 cards ?!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Motherboard on: January 22, 2018, 12:37:34 PM
isn't the graphics card much more important than which mb you use for mining? [...]
Yes you are correct. The Motherboard is *generally* only a factor for how *many* cards you can run.
I disagree, the wrong motherboard can be a pain in terms of hashing stability speed, overall stability, setup time, etc.
Some motherboards fail to keep all cards connected, some need special drivers in windows, some need you to disable the onboard GPU and plug the monitor cable to one of the cards, etc.
Some motherboards like ASUS B250 mining expert has 18/19 GPU slots but you need to mix certain Nvidia and certain AMD cards in certain slots, annoying.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Motherboard on: January 22, 2018, 01:38:10 AM
Did you need to plug that extra power connector in top of the PCI slots ? I don't have that :/
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining Motherboard on: January 22, 2018, 01:05:31 AM
Gigabyte GA-Z270-Gaming K3, not cheap but tested to work with 6 cards...and can be used later on gaming.

Can someone tell me what CCminer version to get for GTX 1070 cards with Ubuntu ?

There are many links pointing in different directions, many modified source codes and forks, outdated versions, it is confusing as hell.

... also, please clarify what is the origin of your savings ...
Sucks to send money to someone (who is not the state, the police, judge, etc), and then in order to use them, you are asked what is the origin of your savings ... disgusting.
What if you made that money from illegal activities ? Dos that mean CEX.IO owns the money ?

Yesterday people were mad because withdrawals were disabled or delayed.
Made two BTG withdrawals today, completed in minutes. I hope it is all good, I want to use their services again Smiley
