2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Free Electricity Power Supply + Open Warehouse For Miner's In Capital City Rome on: June 25, 2016, 10:01:46 PM
Access to Cheap (free) power supply and availability of warehouse of about 1,000 meter around the industrial zone in rome for btc mining.

Cheap? Free?  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin

- Italy cost per kilowatt is one of the highest in Europe; if you happen to steal from private use (households, factories...) you will be busted at their first electricity bill;

- since 16 years, Italian energy grid features smart electricity meters everywhere; you'll get immediately busted if you plan to steal electricity from public lines (today two guys in Ischia were busted for this reason, did you hear? and those 19 arrested at the Infernetto, Rome, a month ago, do you remember?);

- solar insulation for central Italy is about 1250 hours/year, if the mining rig requires 15 kilowatts continuous, you'll need a huge solar farm, at least 120,000 Wp panels

- Rome (and surroundings) is infested with gypsies, burglars and gangsters (some of them are Italian), plus drug addicts and weirdos who love trespassing

TL;DR: local proverb says: "your head's only function is to keep the two ears apart".
3  Local / Progetti / Re: Crypto Lira o Lira Elettronica - un progetto concreto on: September 12, 2015, 04:13:23 PM
Ehi, gente!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / dilettanti allo sbaraglio on: November 29, 2013, 09:51:17 AM
The most funny thing about ITC (ItalyCoins) is the wallet.italycoin.org/vault webserver in http instead of https.

This means that anyone placing a network packet sniffer somewhere between the server and any user is able to see in plaintext its "secret" address key and access the wallet and spend everything. LOL!!  Grin Grin Grin

Also note that here in Italy many home routers are still passwordless (i.e.: welcome packet sniffers!) because "D'oh! my shiny iFacebookGadget ain't appreciating that scary WPA WEP thingy!"

"Careless amateurs" translates in Italian as: "dilettanti allo sbaraglio!"
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Security Question on: November 28, 2013, 11:45:19 PM
As long as no one knows that the device contains a healthy wallet.dat file, you are safe. To steal something, you must first know that the "something" exists.

Most of the security questions assume that some bitcoin expert fraudster is obsessively watching you for gaining access to it. He will thus dig in your trashcan searching for your old backup USB drive, he will accurately check every night if your local firewall is off, and will think about every possible password combination to open it... and even think: is this his "only" wallet, or does he have some other PC with another wallet in a different location?

In other words: some good sense is better than any password.

I did not miss the BTCoat (BTCtw, here in Italy we say "train", not "BTCoat" Cheesy ) and I'm quite happy. BTCut the actual "don't miss the BTCoat" is exiting the game BTCefore the crash.
