1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of cryptocurrency on: March 15, 2018, 09:11:31 AM
There has been consistent bad news since bitcoin became known around the world, hasn't really damaged it's reputation, if anything it's strengthened it.

People are suspicious of banks and governments more than ever, which only opens the door wider for alternate places to store wealth.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dow Jones -800. Crisis coming to Bitcoin ?? on: February 26, 2018, 09:57:16 AM
Even if its a catastrophic crash, BTC will still perform better than most if not all currencies.

Either way I plan to clean up during any financial crash, cheap houses and stocks.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: can bitcoin reach 25k$ on: February 24, 2018, 03:34:29 PM
Noone cant accurately predict the price routinely, however I think the chances of BTC hitting 25k is far better than 2/1.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy when market is Red on: February 23, 2018, 08:06:00 AM
Buy the dip, literally everytime I have bought anything which was shilled and on the rise died in the arse.

Far better to buy when it is a bear market and prices are low.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: February 22, 2018, 12:17:03 PM
No, other altcoins will take its place, even with some type of ban people will still use them.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do u follow what politicians say about cryptocurrency? on: February 21, 2018, 08:10:20 AM
Only regarding incoming regulations or actions they plan to take regarding cryptocurrencies, I couldn't less what they think of crypto as a technology.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin govern the whole world? on: February 20, 2018, 11:56:05 AM
Very doubtful, although its likely going to get a far larger market cap than it has now. (Crypto in general not just BTC)
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 good year or bad year for Cryptocurrency ? on: February 19, 2018, 07:40:03 AM
It will be the biggest year to date, although 2017 will be hard to beat. BTC and crypto still isnt normalised, until that happens it will continue to prod peoples interest.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin ever replace conventional money? on: February 17, 2018, 12:52:15 PM
No, however future cryptocurrencies have every possibility of doing so.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC Canada Is Accepting Bitcoin for Fried Chicken on: February 16, 2018, 12:46:21 PM
If true that is awesome, just for the media spread if nothing else. Not many people will actually buy kfc with BTC, but makes people more aware of it.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Crypto coin should I buy and hold for 1 year? on: February 15, 2018, 09:04:36 AM
BTC or ETH, unless you can afford to lose the money then choose a promising altcoin.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we survive without Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2018, 09:28:38 AM
For BTC to fail it would need everyone who owns them to lose belief in their value.

It may lose more market share but I think BTC will hold a reasonable value for some time to come.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to promote Bitcoin on: February 12, 2018, 12:43:18 PM
Explanation in layman terms, more recently I have found people more open to the idea of bitcoin than previously.

Also getting people to read quality whitepapers, especially if they have the capability to comprehend them.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: February 11, 2018, 12:07:12 PM
From what I have found a large amount of people have joined the community recently. The people from before 2013 etc are a vast minority now.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018 on: February 10, 2018, 12:18:39 PM
I think ETH will stand out this year, along with a number of other alts dying off.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 09:42:18 AM
The main reason is they cannot control it, nor influence it in any major fashion. MSM that is, smaller journalists and online media have a different view on BTC.

The banks don't like it for similar reasons, plus in instances like Cyprus people avoided having the bank steal their money during a crisis.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC the new gold ? on: February 07, 2018, 09:56:50 AM
gold has value because it is useful. it is not just an asset you invest in and nothing else. gold is being used in thousands of different places. in different amounts and shapes from big size in jewelries to tiny nano particles used in medical technologies.

bitcoin has value because it is useful too. it is not just an asset. bitcoin is useful because it is a currency which is decentralized. has high security and global. of course being cheap is desired but sadly for this short period of time we can not have that. hopefully we will in the near future again like we had low fees before.

Gold and Silver have unique properties, such as being the highest conductor for both heat/electricity. Silver is better than gold slightly in that aspect and also has antibacterial properties.

Agree bitcoin has its own unique properties, in places during the GFC people invested in bitcoin to avoid letting the banks steal their money.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] How long until recovery? on: February 05, 2018, 09:55:28 AM
Please vote how long you would say it will take for the markets to stabilise.
I personally say 3 weeks before they are to the level of yesterday.

What coins are you talking about mate? Because so far, we cannot say what will happen the next hour or a days comes especially in terms of stabilization. Because in digital currency most of it are volatile actually all of em are volatile. And there few coins that remains stable and at ease when it comes to their price value.

Don't think it really matters which coins, as you have mentioned it is impossible to determine what will happen in the next hour let alone week. I would suggest that the larger the market share the higher the risk of instability.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: February 04, 2018, 10:32:05 AM
Everyone should be wary, especially users who dont fully understand how computers work. The amount of people who can be scammed through phishing emails etc is huge.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Freedom for ICOs?!?! on: February 01, 2018, 10:37:43 AM
People should take responsibility for their own actions IMO.
ICOs provide a unique way to raise funds, if you are only investing for monetary gain then its at your own risk like any other investment.

Unless there is compelling evidence to suggest it's a benefit to everyone I would never support restrictions.
