3  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Chrome Extension] Add USD value of BTC to BTCGuild, deepbit, Slush, BTCMine on: June 12, 2011, 08:43:08 PM
Releasing version 1.1 which includes deepbit, slush's, and BTC Mine. Also added more before/after screenshots. The pics take up a lot of room in this post, does anyone know if there's anything like a spoiler tag that I can wrap the images in using this forum?

My next big todo will be to make a FireFox version of this unless someone has other pools they want added.
4  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Chrome Extension]Add USD value of BTC to your BTCGuild balance on: June 10, 2011, 04:39:55 PM
This is odd, extension worked fine for me at home, but when I tried it at work it wasn't displaying the changes. After a reinstall of chrome, it appears to work. Anyone else having issues with the extension working?
5  Bitcoin / Pools / [Chrome Extension] Add USD value of BTC to BTCGuild, deepbit, Slush, BTCMine on: June 10, 2011, 01:23:53 PM
I got tired of switching over to MtGox to grab the latest price, count up my BTC, then figure out what the total value of was. So I created this simple Chrome extension that adds the BTC values in USD to the Rewards Summary page.

The extension is called "Mined BTC Value" and you can get it here.

Below are examples of what the extension does to each page. Mainly adds the last MtGox price and converts each BTC balance to USD.

BTC Guild: Reward Summary

deepbit: balance

Slush's Pool

BTC Mine: Bounty section

Changelog

  • v1.1 - 2010-06-12
    • Added deepbit, slush, BTC Mine
    • Minor changes to BTC Guild formatting
  • v1.0 - 2010-06-10
    • Initial build with BTC Guild Support

TODO
  • Create version usable by FireFox
  • Add bitcoinpool
  • Possibly add mybitcoin

Donations welcome

As far as I know this was a US based purchase. I couldn't find anything on the Blizzard website about if it matters, but this site that sells activation keys and other WoW merchandise has this to say:
Quote
These keys can only be used to upgrade a U.S or Oceanic World of Warcraft account.

Changing settings in MSI afterburner or CCC for the GPU core clock didn't have any affect. Google around a bit and found this old post from the folding@home guys where RivaTuner was recommended.

Changed settings using RivaTuner and was able to get both cores core clock running at 800MHz. In this post post there's a pic showing where to change the settings.

Settings on both cores are
Core Clock 800MHz
Memory Clock 450MHz

Currently getting 88 Mhash/sec on each core, which is much closer to what the graphics card comparison chart has listed. With these changes running at ~176 Mhash/sec vs the 140 I was at before. I might bring down the core clock to 750 or 700 since the temps are hanging around 96-98 degrees.

I'll try messing around with MSI Afterburner when I get home, but if it doesn't work is there another program that will let me adjust my graphics cards settings?

BUMP with updated pricing. As always, the exact exchange rate is determined when transaction occurs.

I am using two instances from two separate directories (read that was good to do somewhere). I don't bump aggression up over 4 because pc becomes unusable at that point. But at same aggression, shouldn't both cores run at same speed?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [SOLVED] 4870x2 one core at 83Mh/s other core at 54Mh/s on: June 06, 2011, 04:32:29 AM
I've got a 4870x2, but the second core is performing much slower then the first. Based on the graphics card comparison chart I should be getting around 180Mhash/sec, but I'm averaging 135-140. Any ideas why the second core is under performing?

There has to be some former WoW addict that doesn't have this expansion and is itching to get back!
