Sad to say this, but my TycheCash coins got stucked in Altex exchange.
Can the team make contacts with them and ask for help, please.
Sorry for your loss. I myself lost millions as well. Right now there's nothing we can do. Team and many member already contact altex via twitter, but it seems they deliberately ignoring all the message and keep all the coins. Oh yeah there is one thing we may do: summon all the shamans and voodoo's experts to torture altex team member's souls Yes there's big problem in CrytoWorld of people like Altex , till few days back I was thinking they might come back , but now I have left the hope behind. Even if they have lost (which now I doubt ) some of the coins in attack they cud have communicated that to the community and returned the coins which were unaffected . |

I should have said, it was showing the current, correct block height on my second resync attempt... but it was 300 blocks behind or so at the 76000 level. I am re-down loading the latest Wallet and will try to sync from 0 again and will try your suggestions. Thanks for the quick response. BTW - Is this the best place to ask for help on such matters or is there another channel / discord chat you prefer I use? If so, please just let me know.

If you have re-synced from 0 , then u must have come to correct height . To check that simple open simple wallet and on wallet prompt use command bc_height and if that shows correct height , ignore those outputs , those are not error messages to take action on user's behalf , it shows whats being processed by the daemon . U can surpass those messages by setting log level to 1 while starting daemon |

There was a bad timestamp attack and possible double spend (infamous 51% attack) on the blockchain a couple weeks ago. The Dev has been addressing it with Blockchain updates.... block height 76000 is significant because of some of these changes as well as a difficulty algorithm change that comes at that height. There may be more, but I'll defer to the Dev and the Pools Operators who may know more than me on these issues. Bottom line, the blockchain had numerous forks in it as we got closer to the 76000 height, which is why the pools kept getting stuck and the blockchain was having to backup a few times. Once again, for the second time today, we seem to be cruising right along and the blockchain is getting better. We are awaiting an updated wallet from the Dev as v1.2 seems to be getting stuck prior to height 76000 for BC synchronization. Payouts are on the chain, but my wallet can't read them at the moment. Awaiting advice and/or updated binaries.
There's no Double spend possible , yes because of timestamp attack blocks were stuck and since it was getting difficult block by block getting to 76000 we decided to hardfork at 75900 itself because of timestamp attack and chain forks there were several double spend attempt , and to prevent that daemon was taking a lot and lot of time verifying that and thus getting the next block .
