1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: way to use all 8GB VRAM which is half disabled on P104-100 card on: December 07, 2020, 07:36:55 PM
Anyone unlock colorful p104-100?  Tried a few of the firmware listed in this thread but won't flash.  Even the colorful firmware listed on techpowerup won't flash.

I get:

WARNING: Firmware image PCI Subsystem ID (10DE.1237) does not match adapter PCI subsystem ID (7377.0000)

Any advice is appreciated.

JJ

For my Zotac i use....

1 CMD as admin
2. nvflash64 --protectoff
3. nvflash64 -6 "MyRomName".rom

Thanks, that allowed the update and I see the 8Gb; however, only getting 20 mh (+700 mem / 65% power) on phoenix miner.

Windows?  If so grab one of the mining linux based OS that you can stick on thumbdrive.  I prefer mmpOS and for 8 gpus or less it wont cost a thing to try and use.  Others are HiveOS, SimpleOS, RaveOS and plenty more im sure i missed.

Currently getting 27mhs out of mine on mmpos

Yeah I use windows but I always have.  Something doesn't look right when I compare my gpuz against others.  Memory Mhz looks like it's 1/2 of what it should be?

I tried many bios before finding the right one for me.. a lot was power capped or have overheating problems
Now mining only ETC I went back to Stock Bios and now i mining at 40+ mh with 120w
But Thanks i will try to linux based OS

Tried a couple more flashes.  @32.5mh now / 120w with the zotac flash so much better.  I'll try the rest to see which is best.

Thanks all for your help.

44 Mh/s it's for people that don't care about energy cost, my p104's do 39 Mh/s at 118w , yours 44Mh/s at 160w
Hello, can u share your settings?
39 Mh/s at 118w is impressive..

I just received some P104-100s and am testing one but what are people using to monitor power usage?  My nvidia inspector doesn't get any readings.  Is there a version that works for this card or some other program?

Thanks!

JJ

You can use GPUZ.

Yeah I have that but I only see the %power vs  actual watts.  It's nice to have watts.  It'll do though.

Do you have power consumption data for the tests you ran?

With afterburner at 65% power + 780 memory, + 50 core they are running 39.6 MH/s ETH.  System at the wall with 1 card mining was 149W  (28W idle) so roughly ~119W for the card.

I did an awesome miner benchmark at 70%/770mem/50core with the following results.  Wasn't looking at power usage.  I just left it run while doing other things.  It ends up putting the highest hash for all miners after you save so ignore the fact that different miners for the same algo look the same.

(sorry, not sure how to get the image to show properly)

Something is happening with this.  It's on the move right now!

p.s. @patrike I mentioned this bug on here a few months ago and haven't had any luck.  It has spanned multiple versions of the software - both primary and the remote agent have been updated several times with the bug never going away.

Jeez...I have this right now too.. So bloody annoying!  I want to clear out the hosts and create new ones.  They are f'd up!  Anyone know how to delete hosts?  Haven't found a way yet.  I was in the ConfigData.xml and found the hosts, I tried deleting them but they came back.

JJ

Hi JJ,

I'm curious as to what makes you think it is hosts related?   I've tried mapping to IP addresses without using host names and it still does it.

Sorry that you have the same bug... fingers crossed Patrike can help

Hey, I found the hosts screen (options, managed hosts) and deleted the duplicates, reassigned the affected miners and success.  Everything is happy.

I don't actually, but for the two problem miners, they both have duplicated hosts so I thought something must be messed up.  Regardless, I want the ability to remove hosts. I might just wipe AM and do a fresh install to clear it all out and see if I still have issues.

*edit* - actually just found the screen where you can delete hosts so I'll clean them all out and re-add them.

Hi Gents,

This bug is driving me nuts .... does anyone have any ideas?
It is really hard to explain so I made a video about it.

Here is the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG16ENVpQlg

Notes:
There is exact matching hardware in this miner as some other miners without the issue.
They all have unique IP addresses.
I've tried changing the IP address of Miner 4.
I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Awesome Miner remote agent countless times.
I've completely removed Miner4 from Awesome miner and re-added it from scratch multiple times with different names, etc.

Still the same results.
If I adjust any other miner or open any options menus... Miner 4 stops mining and has to be restarted.
Miner 4 won't start with the start button when this happens - I have to open its properties and click OK and then in starts again.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts.
Cheers,
Edwards

First time post...love the site!

My ETH wallet import picked up one of my tokens which is showing a price now that it's listed on an exchange; however, it's not showing the qty even though if I look at the transaction import, it  shows a qty.

Any ideas why the qty isn't showing on the dashboard?

Thanks
JJ
