1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Investment idea`s on: January 14, 2014, 04:46:19 AM
I almost like what you did there. Im not one of those people but its good to be reminded that is how im thought about.

Im not looking for quick returns, or even one particular thing to invest in. I dont even have enough BTC to think about making any real returns. I want to to find something i can buy into and let it build for 6months to a year. Even throw the earnings back in to get more. Im just not in the mood to read through 5000+ bloody posts so i can figure out if the one thing im looking at is worth it.

You will probably be better off just getting a new wallet. It most likely cost more to get back in to that one than to build up more. Always try to write out your passwords before you type them. Its saved me quite a few times.

I was in there for a while but there is so much to go through and while i have plenty of time i dont want to end up spending hours just trying to get good info for one or two items. Especially when there are so many people out there just bitching constantly.
5  Economy / Marketplace / Investment idea`s on: January 13, 2014, 02:34:13 AM
Im not sure this is the right plac to post. Mods please move if not.

Im looking to invest my small amout of BTC. Its just 0.1 so I know i wont be getting big returns but I figure it will get my foot in the door should I acquire more later on. Im not sure where to start or if i even can use that little to invest but i was hoping some of you more experienced guys could give a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Im a real quick study and since im unemployed I have ample time to read any pertinent info.

Thank you in advance.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost human Season1 Episode7 1 bitcoin = 427,000 dollars on: January 11, 2014, 02:57:28 AM
This is actually the second episode in witch bitcoin was mentioned. The first was episode 5 where a woman being extorted to keep her artificial heart running had a BTC wallet with 4999 on it.

CPU mining mght no longer be useful to do on your own but imagine youve 100000 peoples computers all mining for you. Suddenly youve a lot of hashing power.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long before Bitcoin appears in a movie??? on: January 05, 2014, 04:30:01 PM
Bitcoin was already in a crime show. It was just a few lines but it was mentioned in Almost Human. Episode was about people who needed new hearts and were getting extorted for artificial ones. One woman was using BTC to make her payments and had a mobile wallet in her sock.

11  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worthless if not usable as currency!?? on: January 03, 2014, 01:27:08 AM
Remember gold was once used directly as currency. Its been a very long time but if we were to do so again the value of gold would drop quite drasticly. The USD used to base it value on the amount of gold was held in the country. But since then the USD has dropped in value dismaly because it just keeps getting printed. Theres more and more so as the amount in existence increases the value keeps getting flushed. If more gold were mined to keep up it wouldnt be tanking so hard. Unfortunatly there is only so much to be found.

BTC has no such issue. There will be only so much produced so inflation wont have as hefty an effect. But once it is all mined its stability will increase as well. I believe when that happens its role as an actual currency will be more plausable. Just like the old west gold rushes people are queing up to get theirs and it shot the value through the roof. When the rush was over and it went fom torrent to trickle the value leveled out. The same will happen to BTC. Then it will be more easily accepted.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin decentralization myth on: December 08, 2013, 05:38:42 AM
Should BTC truly be adopted as a currency and not a comodity then people will absolutly run nodes for free. Hell i can collect old crappy pc`s to run nodes with wasting energy. Might not make anything but ill feel good that i help keep bitcoin running. Im greedy as hell but im also broke so i know the value of work that MUST be done regardless of getting paid.

Why not develop a multicoin wallet with encrytion that you can transfer to different devices. I know my computer is almost dead and when i replace it i dont want to have to put the old worn our hard drive in it. This is definitly the site to find help with it. Youd make alot for something with that level of convenience.

18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling the end on: December 07, 2013, 02:51:25 AM
Like all things there are bumps in the road. Its going to continue crashing and rising with such dramatic until its no longer treated like a commodity and more like the currency it was intended to be. When people actualy start spending it instead of trading it the value will fi.d a stable level.

Its far from dead but its definitly nerve racking.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY] Colossuscoin Giveaway Thread 500 COL To Each User on: December 07, 2013, 02:00:11 AM
Been having the same issue. Thought it would have synced by now but its been 4 hours
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will bitcoin be before 2013 ends on: December 07, 2013, 01:48:55 AM
I would be quite happy to see drop to 100 or lower. A good crash brings a fantastic time to buy. Been waiting for this i hope it drops quickly. These drops are petfect for the people that couldnt get into the mining race and dont have 30k+ to start.
