We adapted to using cents. And then we all got rid of them because they weren't worth anything.
MicroBits and MilliBits.
I think we can get used to it. Heck, call them millis and micros. Or maybe Mews. "Can I have a latte?" - "8 and a half Mews please." .... lol.
I'm totally ready for paying by bitcoin. Have only done it a couple times, but it makes more apparent that my money stash is just numbers. That reality is more apparent in the crypto currrency world. I find it easier to detach myself from it, and be more objective about purchases.
Anyone else reflect on how spending in bitcoin changes how they view wealth? Does it make you feel more like life is a video game?

Hi! Like you, I've pretty new to the scene, but pretty interested too.
I'm wondering with the large quantity of alt-coins - might as well try to get a little handful of each right? Unless you know one is going to take over ... then buy KABOODLES while it's still 10cents ... Though picking that lottery would be harder than playing the field, I'm sure.

I think it has to reach 10k! Or at least, some crypto currency does.
The potential for trade through stores is just soooo great. And it's beginning. Once it hits, and there's a "quick setup" for vendors and consumers alike, bitcoin will move through the 10k mark.
I'd love to see 10k by 2015, but that seems pretty optimistic, given the likelihood of a few setbacks, which are just nice cushy entry points.
100k? In our lifetimes?
I wouldn't be shocked if it was. Given it's potential to hit 600+B in market cap, 100k BTC/USD is not a stretch.

Don't forget to read things too. Take a look at the newbie guide and get a feel for the place. I freaked out at first too --- Wait!! I can't post!! ... oh, right. Read the guide in the newbie board. I forgot to at first.

This is FWIW - I haven't been here a while.
Buy Bitcoins first. Make a good sized stake there. And yeah, I agree with saddambitcoin - wait for a good LTC buying opportunity.
LTC has a very good chance, I feel, of sticking around long term. It makes good sense to be second runner to BTC's dominance, but it is by no means a sure second.
