1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple the currency of the future? on: January 27, 2018, 04:13:33 PM
Any crypto currency is a world digital currency, since its scope is not limited to one state. As for the ripple coin, it is a common coin created to serve the banking system, although it has good functionality. From the point of view of the crypto currency, this coin has a very big drawback, since it is completely centralized. Therefore, ripple by its nature can not be on a par with all decentralized crypto-currencies, and therefore its future is in great doubt.
Isn't it the decentralised cryptos whose future is really in doubt? They will be banned.

That is a joke if you think that ripple is the future currency because ripple is centralized and it is controllable by the banks and that is the reason why ripple will never become the currency of the future because people will prefer the decentralized cryptocurrencies because they want freedom and they don't want to get controlled by the government or even the banks.

And when those are banned?

Take it from this man:

Cashless society is coming, albeit slowly. Govts will not permit cryptocurrencies to take central role, will cripple or ban them, Instead impose their own cryptocurrency w/single, consolidated ledger

Ripple seems like the coin that the governments and authorities will control (or at least let survive) after they clamp down on most of the others.

On that basis it seems like a good investment, am I wrong?

(apologies for the repost, but it felt lost at bottom of the previous page)

OP is right, why can't I buy some on Amazon or Ebay or something. It's so convoluted.
